I have a 2009 GTS 300, I use black wax boot polish. It keeps it rust free, it still looks new.
Really appreciate this channel and all the tips, including this one. It's the reason I've been a customer of yours.
I did something similar for my stock scooter from 2009. This is a pretty inexpensive thing to do to slow rust down and make it look much better without a lot of effort if you have all the steps right. I used Rust-Oleum 248903 12-Ounce 2000 Degree, Flat Black Automotive High Heat Spray Paint, which costs about $10. I hung the muffler with a wire from a tree branch and was able to spray it outside. It was very forgiving spray. Follow the instructions. :)

i´ve done it when i did the Oil change.
I have changes out my muffler on 07 Piaggio mp3 250 IE because it was rattle inside but new exhaust muffler making back fire! Mr Robot 🤖

Seems like it could be just as easy to cut a box out to use as a mask around the muffler and spraypaint it on the scooter.
You have to remove the rear exhaust whenever you need to remove the rear wheel. It’s made to come off very easily
I think that mine weighs 10 or 12 pounds with side plate. Wish it were lighter.
Cheapest and easiest improvement is to take those stupid safety stickers off
A LOT OF THINGS MADE IN CHINA
It's not that it's been MADE IN CHINA that there isn't any quality control going on. If the company is settled in China because the workforce is cheaper than it's the company's decission if they use cheap material or not. So if piaggo has settled in China than it doesn't mean that they will use the shitty materials that some chinese companies use.
