I've watched about 20 videos from here. I'm currently in the process of restoring an et4 and it's taken me 3 years on and off and I'm weeks away from finishing. Motor rebuild, rust repair (extreme corrosion) respray etc
First time doing it or even working on an engine. Would never have succeeded without Robot videos.
I live in the UK but I wish I could have supported shop in some way to show my appreciation.

I did the same job last weekend on my 20 year old PX200 using a Haynes manual and educated guesswork. Surprising how similar it is to the ET. The hub didn’t come off quite as easily as Robot’s and as I’m too tight to buy a puller i made one out of a car jack and a climbing sling - which worked a treat. Waiting for parts to arrive before I can claim success on fixing the speedo (the plastic gear was stripped) but I’m hopeful. Great video. Would have been even better if I was doing the job this coming weekend…..!

Good video. It must not always be fun to do just is needed in a budget to keep it going.
I've seen someone (Alan Milliard) soak die carb castings in mag wheel cleaner, with good results, but don't fall asleep until they are rinsed.
I would also like to see a fairly complete restoration of one of these, or a S150, or something, like vapor blasting the metal and repainting. I think that you and your brother had done a vintage Vespa, at one point. Also the "borrowed" scooter collision repair and frame replacement series was interesting, but costly for some. Hey, we got to see the new Premivera up-close.
I hope that Vespa rediscovers a bit more every-day practicality, and a bit more displacement in their scooters, for the American market.

I own a 2007 Vespa LVX 150 and during a ride this past weekend I noticed that at some point the speedometer needle had broken off its pin and was just laying at the bottom of the circular housing. The remaining quarter of the needle that is still attached to the pin still moves as I accelerate, but it's no longer pointing in the correct position to indicate speed - it's starting point at is facing about southeast. Any advice?

Awesome video. You do a great job and really know your products. I am working on a 2009 LX150 that lost all life in the control panel after I replaced the missing bolt that was holding the large windscreen on. Having trouble accessing the handle bar dash board because one of the screws holding the mini roll bar is stuck in there and stripped out. I think that front panel with the piagio logo needs to come off to access the middle screw holding the front headlight section on. That stuck screw is an allen screw that looks like a #5 metric. Is there a better way to tell if I have damaged the wiring ?

I installed a new speedometer, but not sure what I’m supposed to do about the mileage since the new odometer reads zero. Can anyone help ???

Hi. Is there any way I can contact you directly. I have just inherited my father’s Vespa which I am about to restore. I don’t know the exact model though. I think it’s a 1958 Piaggio 125 VNA1T
I need to identify it to be able to order parts
    Cheers
    Hugh

I'm curious what is the lifespan, in milage and years, of an ET4 or other model with the 150cc LEADER engine, assuming it's maintained per manufacturer's specs and the rubber parts, like the intake manifold, petcock, and fuel lines are refreshed.

Io vorrei per esempio, ammettere che la mia et4 ha raggiunto oltre 55000 km. Con la manutenzione ordinaria.

I guess the pasty-faced arachnid decided it was time to skip town when the blowtorch came out.
