- With time, most of the exhaust from old models of Vespas become very rusty, making it look really ugly! In this video I show you how to restore it! Step by step, at home, with basic tools and without spending that much money!
With that, here’s what I’m going to cover in this video.
1: 0:20 First, I show you how to remove the exhaust from the scooter.
2: 0:57 Then, I show you how to remove the old gasket from the exhaust pipe.
3: 1:25 After removing the gasket and covering holes, I show you how to clean it and degrease it.
4: 2:05 Then, Sanding!
5: 3:14 Painting!
6: To refit, carry out the removal operations but in reverse order, observing the prescribed torques.

Some people say to put the exhaust in the oven? I guess you didn't ... I don't even know if my exhaust would fit in my oven ;-). Anyway, nice video and thanks
Hahaha! These might be because they powered coated, there are some Kits in the internet to do it at home and you need to place the object on the oven as part of the painting process. Thanks! Appreciate it you! 🤙🏻
