Voodoo is a special engine for gt350 only. It’s a race engine. They were built from 15-20. It utilizes 5.2 L architecture. I’m not sure if cranks would swap between gt500 but it’s not a mod coyote. What’s the jay Leno garage on gt 350 where he talk to the engineer responsible for the gt350 at the ford gt. It’s built to battle with a Ferrari 456 for 400,000 less. It comes much closer than it should for the price.
You may be able to extend the warranty with Ford before it expires. I went out (8) years on the warranty. You may want to look into it. It’s only a phone call. Thanks for the update! 🤙🤙😎🐍🐍
Really great points. A lot of them involving why I did not get one. When I first found your channel it was when I was considering getting a GT350 over an 03/04 Cobra. The engine issues were a concern for me and like you said there’s not much to mod on them. After I got my Cobra I did a video brining up a lot of these points for why the Cobra was better suited for me, one main reason being I wanted to do a lot of mods to it and the reliability of the engine. Mines sitting happily at over 700 and when I get on it hard all it ask is for is more. As far as what you’re doing after the warranty I’ll tell you what you’re doing ….. you are going to get a Porsche GT3 RS, that’s what’s going to happen! Do it or I’ll unsub, just kidding I’d never do that 😂
Excellent video man 🙌🏼. I have a 2017 GT 350 R and I’ve owned it for about six months. I got it with a little bit over 8000 miles and currently have 16,000 miles on it and I absolutely love the car I don’t beat on it for anything, I just tend to drive it on the weekends and I do pay for an extended warranty. Had me over thinking about the reliability of the motor lol but seems like it depends on the driver as you said.
@@Ezvy I'll read reviews on the car and it'll have me overthinking at times. Even then my job doesn't require me to drive throughout the week so that's why it's mainly used on the weekends. But you'd be surprised I've read that a lot of Shelby owners only put 5k-10k miles a year.
In November it’ll be three years with my ‘19 GT350. I enjoy it today same as the day I bought it. Don’t plan on selling anytime soon. Currently at 29k miles. I have 100k/10 year Ford ESP warranty on it for peace of mind. Flood Ford has very affordable options/rates.
Thats awesome you've been driving it so much! Great call getting the warranty. FYI I don't think Flood Ford is offered in all states, I tried to look into them here in Florida and wasn't able to get a quote.
Man, I might be leaving the 03 Terminator hunt and just snag one of these. Subbed. Such a clean spec and build. The tr.ick is, will the wife let me keep the raptor too! Wish me luck LMAO
I think the risk factor and flaws that these cars have is what makes them not only special but more exciting and thrilling. Think of ALL the historically iconic cars.... F40, Vipers, Ford GTs, Carrera GTs C6 Z06s.... all have huge Expensive flaws or qwerks about them that are negatives but would anyone not want to own one of them because of it? I'll take all 4 lol The 30k engine cost is not 100% accurate. A replacement engine from for Installed out the door will run you in the neighborhood of 20k and for an engine assembly from. RpG or fast forward race engines installed you're probably looking 15k or so. Expensive... comparatively speaking to a Coyote, absolutely, would I take a Voodoo over a Coyote.... 7 days a week and twice on race day. Looking g forward to what's next to come!
Yeah it's definitely a thrilling and unique car for sure, I came into the GT350 from a Viper, so obviously I enjoy that mentality also. Ohly 15k?, maybe I should get two of them! :)
Hey! Thanks for the compliment. It’s a square tire setup, not full rotatable square wheel setup. That would be awesome though. You can do it with spacers. 305s all around is really a nice balance.
Very honest and realistic review just in a few words
Thanks! Great car overall.
Great honest review. Finally, an honest GT350 owner that addresses the pluses, as well as the very real negatives (Voodoo engine reliability).
Just calling it how I see it. Great car. Questionable reliability.
Gen1 might have some reliability issues but those were fixed in 2019.
You can always fully build the motor with better parts for $2,500-$3,000 and make it more reliable like that after warranty expires

Nice job picking up the 8 year warranty. Smart move IMO.
How did you come on the extended warranty
@@DanielLopez-ht4ov I purchased the extended wat when I purchased the car. (8) years bumper to bumper.

Yeah the Cobra is a great platform to modify. GT3RS.... hmmmm....
I really like what you've done with the car man! The aero modifications look great!
Thanks so much!
Appreciate the review, very honest, and informative.
Thanks!
Love your gt350R! If your thinking about selling it i would do it soon. Prices seem to start coming down

8k miles in 6 months! You are a hero!
I beat the heck out of my 2017. Theirs no point in having a monster of a car to just not beat on it
What a waste. You don’t drive the car why would it break down?

How do you switch to the square setup? Do you need to get new wheels?

Decided to sell it and move to another platform.
