For the vinegar lovers: You can boil beetroots and once they are soft (but not too soft) you can slice garlic cloves and mix them with the beetroots. Add a bit of salt, olive oil and vinegar. This is one of the salads we have in Greece, especially when we eat fried fish, and it's a quite popular flavor in the Mediterranean area.
Thank you for one more great video, Max!

I used two of your hacks after going with my husband to a doctor appt. I got caught off guard because I didn't have the time to go back home and drink my glass of vinegar water and he wanted to take me to eat. I ordered green beans and cabbage as my side veggie and a slice of meatloaf with catsup on top and drank diet Mt. Dew. After lunch, I came home and ran in place a few times and did about 20 squats. My blood sugar was amazing later after I tested. I'm 60 yrs old. Thanks Jessie!

However, not everyone practices it, myself included. I was surprised by the effectiveness of vinegar when I tried it, inspired by her. I am overwhelmingly grateful.

I have to share that when i was pg with my 2nd child, I started drinking diluted ACV for the gas, heartburn & acid reflux bc my first pg was horrible in that regard. The doc had me on heartburn/acid reflux meds that made my tongue swell, so i was determined to do it differently the 2nd time around. Worked like a charm, btw.
Fast forward to my pg diabetes test…I accidentally ate half a banana before the testing. Almost cancelled the appointment, but figured I would go anyway & if it was poor results, I would just tell them about the banana. Well, i passed with flying colors!!! So ya, gonna start the ACV again 💗💗 thank you so much for this informative reminder 😊

I am a type 1 since I was 20 years old. Now I'm 37 and I can say immediately if my blood sugar is getting low and what value (pretty accurate). I have a permanent glucose monitor and I can check all the glucose spikes and how my blood sugar reacts to diferent foods. All I can say is vinegar before meals works miracles ❤, as well as veggies first. Before this my life was like a roller coaster with ups and downs after almost every meal. Of course, I've reduced the amount of carbs intake (but not drastically since I'm also breastfeeding and sometimes I need some extra energy 😅) and I also try to eat more nutritious foods. All these improvements help me get a more balanced and way less stressful blood sugar levels. I feel more energized and less hungry throughout the day. So I'm really greatful for all the information people can find nowadays. Can literally save lives ❤.

@D47 JoyUnited - Years ago I looked after a blind, type 1 diabetic and used to take her to the clinic regularly. The specialist told her to do exactly that - if you want something full of carbs like toast make sure you have plenty of butter on it, and have some chocolate but only after a meal. Unfortunately, she was obsessed with being skinny and would eat fruit on its own all day - her blood sugar was all over the place.

Many years ago, I was 'sidetracked' into becoming a dietitian-nutritionist while taking Anatomy & Physiology, because of the number of illnesses that started with 'unregulated blood glucose'. I have personally seen links between my glucose levels and acne. So fascinating!

That's crazy! I'm not a dietitian or nutritionist but i am interested in my health and how my body reacts to different things.
I have seen a pattern that if i eat too much sugar in a short span of time in a matter of minutes i get cystic acne like on my back. It's crazy! And then if i stop eating the sugar it just calms down and disappears in a day or two
I mostly noticed this when i eat a lot of very sweet chocolate, but i didn't notice me having an allergy to cocoa or anything. At the same time, I'm not the type of person that enjoys the really sweet cakes so it's hard to hell from what exactly this reaction could come (besides sugar)

When she said to put some “ clothes on your carbs “ we can translate that in the kitchen :” pasta with boiled spinach or kale 🥬 or sweet peas 🫛 “ . To carbs add some greens 🥬.

Eat your carbs with foods that slow down their digestion and make you satieted, ie. fibre, fats and protein.
Otherwise you get a quick glucose spike and then a drop after that.

We are not only material beings but energy beings as well. We get our energy from God or from people, but we need to get it in a positive way, so it will sustain us. If we detached ourselves from other people especially from our tribal group our family, we lose energy and become weak or sick. Try to watch parade or weddings even if you don't know the people who are getting married, you feel a certain rush of energy that somehow makes you feel happy and strong.

i have lost 10 lbs in two weeks. i just cut out all solid food alternate days. so yesterday i had tinned tomatoes liquidated. as a drink. and some small amount of cheese. tea, drinks, then next day just eat 2000 calories? a normal day. so your calorie deficit is levelling out? i feel better already. no cravings? some hunger? but if you get a hunger pang? a small square of cheese. i've stopped feeling bad? its small tricks. if i tried to control calories? it would break down. i'd lose control. so just eat whatever you like? on one day? and avoid everything bad the next day? a schizo diet. a fast? but you don't want to aggravate your gallbladder. that cheese is important. calcium also binds with oxalates. so Dairy is important.

As some one who was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and Rosacea, which I got due to eating way too much meat, dairy, and too little fruits and vegetables, this is quite entertaining to watch and also learn. I'm also a trauma survivor, and battling depression, anxiety, food intolerance, and allergies. I'm also deficient in vitamin D which is also linked to diabetes, depression, and Rosacea. Already managed to loose 33 lbs on my own or 15 kg, and 15 kg more to go... food is so much harder when diabetes type 2, and Rosacea. Feels like I can't eat anything tbh. If I knew half the shit I know now, I probably wouldn't have gotten diabetes, gotten obese etc.

Breakfast is important. We have to eat healthy, savory breakfast within 2 hours waking up. It is good for the heart and to keep blood sugar steady.
When I eat savory breakfast, I do not crave sugar during that day. I feel good.
She said eat vegetables first at mealtime because fiber will slow down sugar rise. I think that eating meat instead of vegetables at the beginning of the meal is good also. Fiber, fat, protein slow down sugar rise.
