Great review! What do you think of the new design? They came out just a few weeks ago and the new backpack does not open up all the way like this one…now i’m not sure which one I should buy as I found an original model like yours online.
Opening it up all the way is a nice feature but it's not a deal breaker for the new design in my opinion.

I have a monos carry on already and LOVE it. How well does this fit under the seat on the airplane?
No issues for me so far. Should fit under most seats.

Yeah it would be. I've used it as one before. No issues, at least for the airlines I traveled with.
My only worry is that with time vegan leather begins to deteriorate- I wonder if that’s the case with these bags

14 inches with room to spare. You can go up to 16 inches no prob.
Is the pouch safe enough for travelling?? The only thing stopping me from buying this backpack is my fear of people stealing the pouch while I’m exploring ☹️

I have this backpack, after a few business trips the felt pocket lining has pilled and degraded horribly. Submitted a warranty claim and their customer service responded after 3 WEEKS with a "nah, I don't wanna". Avoid this backpack, save yourself the hassle
