- Walk around Chevy/Cummins closer to completion. Still need to paint the hood and tailgate, clean up some wiring under the hood, finish the seats, make a rear bumper and pipe up the air conditioner tubing. Truck has 373 gears with a getrag 360 5speed. As of now the engine is stock @ at 160 hp. out of a 94' Dodge w/auto. Driven about 500 miles so far.

This is such a great looking truck, i have a 1989 Burban, I want a truck like your for my dream truck, one day i might even restore my familys Burban
Just love this truck. love it. Great job. Paint job is perfect. It looks the best at 1:44. Rob.
That's what I call a real truck
Great work. Looks incredible, my favorite body style by far. Thumbs up.
Great job, man! I'm loving your rig.
That's sweet! I love those older Chevy crew cab trucks! Bad ass bro!
Beautiful truck , very clean conversion . Only wish I could do that keep it up
Very clean swap, nice job and a good looking truck as well!
What an amazing truck. Excellent and clean.
Dear Lord, That's a beautiful awesome truck! , rig like this be a pleasure to drive anywhere!
I chose the single headlight because it cleared the inner cooler better on the parking lights. I'm torn as well. I like the 85-88 quad headlight but I also like the 89-91 quad light as well.
I always liked the single round headlights and side marker up and down instead of side to side , like 73-79 ish
Nice Chevy! I like the use of the original crossmember. I also like that it's tidy under the hood and the paint looks great. These trucks used to be easy to come by, but now it's like finding a mythical beast if you want one in useable condition. My 90 3+3 is the truck I always wanted as a kid. Good Job I must say! I bet he spent a grip building this but has a truck worth more in dependable operation than any new truck. If it does have any issues he can also fix it I'm sure. No computers, no id
Nice truck sir!
my dream truck man
Dam nice!! clean truck, clean work!
That is a clean truck bad ass.
Nice clean build 💪
Sweet looking truck I have just started on mine same concept : box body chevy with a 6bt one thing you might want to do is put a 1 to 2 inch spacer between your carrier bearing and cross member it will save you u-joints over time the rear half of that driveshaft is on a pretty good angle
Nice rig very well done!
Love how it came out now just place wire loom on the wires by the firewall. A+
Good catch on the rear carrier. I do plan to add a spacer. cannot decide if I want to build a rear bumper or put on a stock one.
This is one bad ass truck, great job!!!
Good looking rig!
That is awesome, one of these will be my next project.
The tires are baha claws and are approx. 33x12.50. And yes I made the motor mounts. It wasnt a tough project, just took a couple years. It is a 4" lift. It drives great and quite inside the cab. The turbo sounds like a vacuum cleaner inside the cab. I love driving it. Tons of torque!
Nice truck, I just got a hold of a 86 k30 crewcab and was wondering what brand lift did you use, thanks
That is probably the nicest Cummins Swap I've seen on UA-cam.
Thanks. I really need to update the video. Same truck now just a few more details installed. Like interior and wiring under hood cleaned up 😀
Fender Bolt right on. I'm sure I'm not the only person interested in it.
Fender Bolt ,
Please do an update video! Let us know any problems or suggestions... I commented on this video 5 years ago and finally bought a V30 last week to build. Have been jealous of your rig for a long time!
omoffroad
HaHa.. Looks about the same. Still need to paint hood and tailgate and out on a rear bumper. Oh and hook up the A/C. I think I have over 5,000 miles on the build. So far so good. I will make a new video.
@@TheFenderbolt anything new happen for you in 2020 with the Cummins Swap? I bought a 3rd Gen to swap into a truck I bought a couple years ago; a 73 3x3. I so look forward to working on it.
No idea why more people aren't doing this! Convert those old trucks! You can put a cummins in anything! There is a guy that threw a 4bt in a Nissan 240sx for hells sake...
@FORDandDEERE
tires are mickey thomson baja claws look like 35s and it has disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear
any sound insulation in that cab? great work on that swap. want to do one in my suburban some day
That sir is one very nice truck
very nice and clean
this is my absolute dream truck
Thanks W8FG. 4,000 miles so far and Zero issues. Love driving it!
If you ever sell let me know. I'm sure you get that all the time but I actually have money.
I am not a Chevy fanboy, but I'd drive that! Very nice job.
Awesome truck, I need to get a vid of mine up. I wanted to ask were you got the alternator,A/C brackets?
absolutly sweet!! love it.
clean rig! looks like a tank
@TheFenderbolt that is a pretty sweet looking chevy truck with a cummins.
Wow, clean swap. Nice chevy aswell. Can I ask what wheels those are? always like that kind of look
I plan to eliminate half of the wires by the firewall. most of the wires for the gas motor EFI. My goal is to make it look as stock as possible under the hood.
adapter plate is from the 91 Dodge the getrag came out of.
Answer to the parking brake question..... The park brake is in the stock location. Left kick panel like most pick up trucks.
Everything looks beautiful except those damn liftblocks in the rear! Nice build!
I’m not a fan of rear lift springs. But I won’t disagree with the blocks either. Not sure what other options I would consider 🤔
GREAT JOB! I HAVE A DIESEL SAMURAI AND A DMAX ZF 6 SPEED. THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO BUILD NEXT!!!!!! WHERE DID YOU SHORTEN THE FRAME FOR THE SHORT BED?
Hard to tell in your video but if you don't mind... tell me about your rear driveshaft please. Did you move the support bearing or just shorten the rear section? Really appreciate your time.
Holy shit thats a perfect truck!
Ryt off the bat I noted the p7100 pump and the a.c. compressor kewlsome
My dream truck. Only thing I'd change is dual headlights.
Man this truck is inspiring. Did you document your progress on a forum anywhere? I will buy this truck from you tomorrow, cash. We must have the same taste because you made that thing exactly how i would have!
i love this truck
im a ford fan, but that is one nice lookin rig. what tires are those?and are ya runnin drum brakes?
man that nice a k30 with a cummins power it u go man
Did you use the automatic bell housing adapter plate for the getrag, or did you have to get a standard shit adapter plate ? I am building the same truck !
stunning
did you have to make new motor mounts? or cut anything?
love it more videos please
Oh man , it's even a manual transmission
Do you have a part number for that belt that you used?
I have a 84 chevy 1 ton and im going to drop a 91 12 valve in it and i was going to use a turbo 400 and i was just wondering what transmission did you use?
This is a newbie question but I didnt see a parking brake there, I saw the manual trans and T case shifters but no parking break. Where is the parking break located or is it in when the shifter is in the middle? Thanks in advance
Thanks
What mpg's do you get with the 3.73's??
i get 16+ running between 75 and 80 mph on a 200 mile trip. Gets better below 70 mph. Im guessing 18 on average. With stock governer spring 88 mph is top speed.
I'm not big on the chatter, but looks like it was well thought out and done right witch is what is most important. Since my opinion means squat in this matter I'm going to have to give it two thumbs up! Did you dynomat the interior complete I hope so, other wise you might have to drive around with aviation style headphones JK. Keep up the good work and get that a/c done right non-working a/c takes away BIG points from a project like that!
What is the wheel base? Did you end up cutting the original frame or modified suburban frame?
Love those tires any one know what they are?
what kind of mpg's are you getting?
That's what I want. Old school Chevy crew cab 4x4
She's a beaut, pretty sure i seen this truck on the cummins swap facebook group.. What are you using for clutch parts, master and slave cyls?
How hard was it to do this and how long did it take
I will buy it!! For real!
serpentine set up is from a Ford F-700 with Cummins.
Nice rig man!......especially that Git R Done Cummins.
Cummins.......MInd If I Smoke?
how hard was this swap? honustly?
The interior aint done are you working on it
One is for the four wheel drive.
beautiful truck . do you still own it? and is it for sale ?
rail head
Thanks, Yes I still own it. I may sell someday if the mood strikes me.
How much did it cost
Its a dream
what a beautiful piece of work. I am looking to get my hands on a truck like this. Can anyone here help me to locate one for sale? Long bed if possible.
My 7.3 diesel with 250 hp. is a slow poke, that must be a real turtle with 160 hp. Slow is good sometimes.
did it come as a shortbed or did you do that yourself
I cut the frame and shortened it myself.
Fender Bolt cool I would love to have the same truck except with a big block 😎
but I like your build too that's an insane project just not a diesel guy
Dear Santa...
What transmission u go with
Transmission is a 1st gen Dodge Getrag 360 5-Speed
i'm a ford man, but damn that's a nice truck...
Would you ever think about selling this truck?
I like everything but the wireing just hanging every where .
loveit
godcarsmoney Thank You
Iam sorry in advance but, i think you should clean up the engine bay wiring it makes it look tacky but, besides that I commend the build
Dude is this forsale
top speed?
godcarsmoney 88 mph top speed with stock governor.
How the hell could it have two shifters
I would rather have that, then a brand new truck.....litterally
