@THEFERMANATOR u would really like to know how u got a duramax in a 95 sub, bc 88-98 trucks are suppose to be impossible to fit the duramaxs in i own a 90 gmc sierra myself
These DURAMAX's are popping up all over now in trucks they never came in. I'm happy as can be with mine in my 95 SUBURBAN. The power is insane compared to the 6.5, and I'm only running mild tuning. And if you have patience and some basic electrical skills you can modify your own harness to retrofit it into whatever you want.
@1999DodgeSikSpak its worth alot more then 6.. that motor alone is worth that plus the original value of the truck maybe not to a majority of people but if you find the right buyer it would be worth a nice penny.
Thats awesome!! The older Chevy's are great trucks and the Duramax diesel is a monster! What trans. did you go with? Did you swap in the Allison also?? Great truck!
I am going to go buy a old chevy pickup this weekend and I have seen a couple of threads about these conversions, my question to you is did have to modify the oil pan at all to get it to fit in there? And also what about the engine mounts? If you could help me out here that would be great thanks.
@TheNeckasaurus thats the thing. no one is gonna pay for "hard work". This thing is already old and it may have a diesel but its not worth 17,000. Maybe 6.
Great truck!!! I have a 1990 v3500 with a 454 tbi .What are the major issues you incountered when doing this swap? I bet it's raised more than a few eye brows. That's just MINT!!!!
very nice truck i love it and i like how u get in and it start right up i want to do that to a 90's chevy crew cab to make the ultimate expedition truck
what did you have to do to the frame (crossmember) to get the duramax in? custom motor mounts? I want to put a LLLY or LBZ into the same body style suburban
Could you tell me how it was bolted up or if you made or bought motor mounts. Im gonna do a dmax swap to my 82 Chevy Scottsdale long box cuz the 350ci ain't enough to get up and go with 6 inch lift and 35x12.5 underneath it
I think you put the right motor in that truck. If you wanted a truck that shook, rattled and sounded like a dump truck then a cummins would have been you choice. imo
Why spend all that money on a durashit when you could of bought a cummins or a old detroit. Its your money, and you can spend it how ever you so choose, but in my opinion you ruined that poor old chevy.
Thank god somebody had the balls to do something other than a Cummins swap, this is an awesome truck, Great job
Also your truck is super bad ass good job on everything.
Screw what everyone else said. Thats a nice swap good job.
one hell of a suprise for a cummins when they think its just a shitty old chevy diesel
Very nice this truck

That's pretty awesome. Usually people just do a 12V Cummins swap. Definitely nice to see something a lot more difficult and complex! Nice work

Great job with that truck, got that old school cool, and a newer better quality diesel. Awesome!

@shoeboxchevy1 PPE charges a small fortune to modify one. It isn't that hard to do your own for a fraction of what they charge.
what a clean conversion, it looks like it came from the factory that way.... Awesome job!
Awesome truck. I want to do this swap into a 88 K5 blazer. How much money and time went into this if you don't mind me asking?
@shoeboxchevy1 thats a decent price! what state are you in? and what kinda MPG's does it get? what gear ratio?
did you buy a smashed up donor? then transfer what u needed?
@shoeboxchevy1 Awesome! Need more vids.
you are the king sir!! i always see cummins Which I like however I love duramaxs sweet truck! perfect
That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, you are a badass
That's sweet rig
@1999DodgeSikSpak The engine alone is worth 8,000 but 17,000 is a little too much.
I can't find the wiring harness on their website. Did you have to call them or whats the deal?
Nice work!!!
nice ass truck man it sounds great wish i could get one in my chevy dually
that is one of the nicest trucks ive seen for a long time. im jealous!

Why wouldn't you just build up the 350? Get one of Edelbrock's top end kits, maybe turn it into a 383.
Awesome truck !!!!!
Was mounting the motor and trans a problem I'm lookin for a duramax now to put in my old 88 crew cab
Did you ever put your duramax I your 88 crew cab?

Nice truck bro!
how dificult was it and what was the total cost?
17K?? THAT'S A LIL OUTRAGIOUS!!! NOT GONNA HAPPEN. NICE RIGG THO
how much time and money did she cost to swap? and was
it originally a 6.5?
what size exauhst is that? doesnt look big enough for that motor to breathe?
Very nice.
where and what did you do with the motor mounts
Dang...can u give details on how u mounted that duramax in? Did u box the front end frame? We're the motor mounts have to be relocated/cut?
@shoeboxchevy1 How much? thanks!
That's a bad ass truck.
And would I have to modify the crossmember
that that truck back in time and say EFF you 6.2L haters!
Thats almost more efficient!
That's just sick
yeah i have seen a few beat up 02 duramaxes around here to, makes me sad
How did you do it? I am really wanting to swap mine!
What transfer case do you have in there?
how much are u askin?
What transmission and transfer case you running in that
how hard was the swap? i have a 2001 duramax and an 84 c30 i want to put the duramax in.
Do you still have this truck?
automatic or is it a standard
chevy in a chevy
duallys are pointless unless you're towing heavy loads on the regular, and they are useless offroad
I love the truck
I can buy a new truck for 17
putting junk in a chevy.
Is this truck for sale
