Have dove in some so cold that the water shooting in from the spring at the bottom had ice crystals hitting our face and we only had swim trunks on, no wetsuit or drysuit! 🥶🤯🧜♂️

We had thought that we would get PADI certified somewhere in SE Asia, unfortunately we weren't able to get there this time around. I, Yevhen, still would like to learn and get certified for open water, as much as that statement is true, it also feels intimidating for both of us a bit haha.
You guys are the best! I usually reddit out a lot of these type of things from the vlog thinking they are too mushy for the vlog but had to keep this one in. Glad you appreciated it too
Those stairs are amazing. Almost none existent. The cave disappeared. Get in the freezing waters. Have no regrets! It's beautiful! I love the mountains! So awesome! Safe travels!

I like how you used the drone to look for the cave...that's a good use of a drone...never thought about that! And oh man, the rice balls look soooo good!
It was fun to do a little reconnaissance mission. could have sent the drone to do so from top of the hill before climbing all the stairs but glad we didn't do so, so that we got to enjoy the beach despite the cave not being there. Might have not gone down if we saw there was no cave from the top
Hmm I think I deserve the credit for suggesting you guys go for traditional food in my country. Those rice balls are local dish. My grandmother used to make them and I know that feeling. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. Depending how long you will stay in Albania you will be impressed by the food in my country. That's the town where my mom was born. There is so much history in that town.

She was born in Leskovik and after learning Leskovik's cuisine which is very rich she was married to my grandfather and learned also Gjirokaster cuisine. Even though we were very poor she had an incredible ability to cook great dishes. Thankfully, my mom got a lot from her and now my wife got a lot from my mom. So, I can say I am still blessed. Here in the States we basically cook Albanian with American ingredients. America is rich because you find here literally all cuisines of the world. However, key to great dishes are organic ingredients. The more organic grown ingredients used the better the dish will taste. I thought I sent you guys a list of great dishes. Good luck exploring my country.

So crazy! Sometimes there's no growth and today it's even higher now to 616! We don't have a goal per say but when we quit our jobs and left to travel, I yevhen, hoped to grow our channel to be able to off set the cost of travel by a few dollars through our videos, ambitious but I was hopeful. Its a lot of work but a lot of fun and we feel super blessed for this opportunity and connecting with new people we wouldn't have connected with otherwise

Thank you so much! I played around with a few different ways of exciting that part but settled on this one, it felt right to show the reality to in a funny comical way with that music haha. It was really cold, to the bone cold for the rest of the day!

I’ve sneaked in the water once or twice back in the 90s (back then it was guarded with cops.. no one was allowed to swim there lol) too cold 🥶.. even in +35C the water never warms up more then +10C.. most of the time is actually below +5C. You are a brave girl!! Thank you for doing this for my country.. wish more Americans or Canadians will pop by to explore this hidden gem..
I bet more and more will. Albania is amazing and the people so warm and welcoming. You are so brave to go in when it was guarded. I gate getting in trouble 😆 so I looked up if I could go in before we went. Was amazing to have it to ourselves and all the Shepherds and sheep on the roads getting there was awesome.
Thats crazy that you are the only people in the hotel! I actually love swimming in cold waters, pretty used to the Aegean sea being cold. Too cold can be brutal though. You seemed like you had a wonderful dinner, agh miss dining in at the restaurants already :(

@@DjusLife I am from a village nearby Berat originally but I am currently studying in Sweden. You are most welcomed in Albania again and the north is a must-visit. Saranda is not my typical summer destination. I like more the villages in Between Vlora and Saranda along the coast. I will be following your channel from now on coz you guys make very good vlogs :)

We definitely will come back and check out the north. We started the road trip in Himare which I think is more of what you like for summer destination? We loved Gjipe Beach, driving that coast was so much fun. I image it must be busy during the summer months. Also, those roads to the beaches are pretty crazy!
