Love the sitrep. When you said “bugs have been almost nonexistent” cue bug to fly in front of your face. Haha!
At the 9:20 mark.
Haha I was going to say the same thing lol
I saw the same thing happen and thought it was quite ironic! 😂
Should have read the comments first. I just commented the same thing.
Hilarious- 🪳
What an EPIC spot for an update video. I can't wait for the rest of the videos, I've been waiting since before covid. Be safe have fun and the beard looks good
Beautiful location. Thanks for sharing this journey with everyone.
I love my Power Wagon and my TJ. This looks like a great trip. Thanks for sharing.
From the planning, from the logistics, from the video work to the incredible scenery. Absolutely, absolutely incredible. Just stellar all the way around. Thank you for all the work you put in and taking us along.
❤ I love your new adventure. Can’t wait to see more. Glad to see you’re with story till now
Thanks for the update
Enjoy yourself
THANK YOU Sir for all your efforts!!!
Awesome video as always Brad. Can’t wait to watch the whole Arctic series and to see all the epic adventures you and Shaun have.
I'm jealous Brad! Enjoy your time. Thank you for sharing this epic trip with us.
Great to hear you and Shaun are so compatible, very important on an extended adventure like this one. Keep rolling.
Hey Brad, glad the trip is going well. If not mentioned by others, right when you said bugs have been almost nonexistent, one flew into the lens, which was hilarious…safe travels, sir. PS folks may find it strange that you talk about your health, but it’s incredibly important. My wife and I were on a six week adventure last year and ended up on week two with a major medical emergency. C’est la vie at times (a first for us)
welcome to Canada brad.Following you for years now.Have a 2000 tj. Went to arizona and up to the arctic circle on my motorcycle in 2011. Great memories. I was 64at the time.
Have a great trip of a lifetime.
Thank you for taking us along the journey…. I feel like I, too, am in BC!!!
- Drew in GA
Just absolutely beautiful! I'm in awe of your adventure.
That backdrop is a m a z i n g ! Thats something you remember forever.
Good stuff Brad. Stay safe and have fun. Keep us posted on your adventures.
Beard looking good Brad!
the best vacations are when you forget what day it is.
I really like this style of video update you are doing. It is like a coffee one take on the move. I will be anticipating the trip videos. Thanks for the update.
More to come! Thanks for watching.
I am planning the same trip except I will be coming from Georgia. I have a Gladiator also with an Alu Cab Canopy Camper and it has simply been a game changer for me. I have been doing vehicle based adventure since the latter half of the 1970s and it has been the answer to all the wants I have compiled in the past almost 50 years of doing this. Have fun and enjoy your trip.
Good to see that you have company Sir; thanks for sharing , be safe and God Bless!
Thanks for the sit-rep! Stay safe, enjoy and look forward to following you and @thestorytillnow on this epic adventure!
Great to hear about your journey thus far. It will be an awesome series to watch, once you’ve had time back home to stitch all the adventures together. Enjoy the moments. 🍁🤙
Awesome and outstanding as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
"Bugs have been, (bug flies across screen) almost non-existent" @9:19🤣
FYI, the Ferries are not in the rivers yet. The Mackenzie River ferry just went in to start work but will take a few days. The Peel River ferry is cable-driven and can't go in until the water level comes up and debris clears the river.
According to some websites I came across, the ferries start running in the first week of June for last 5 years (I think), what do you think about this year?
For my Arctic trip, I made a windshield protector out of polycarbonate and it saved my windshield from a couple of big rocks.
Looks so awesome brother looks like a blast! Super long drive but worth it.
What a great trip. Right when you were saying that bugs hadn’t been much of an issue, a mosquito flew by the camera. I thought that was funny. Wishing you a safe journey!
Perfect timing!! 😂
Very proud of you. Truly enjoy your adventures!!!!! I travel without leaving home. Wishing you the BEST!!!!!
Brad, great to see an update, cool that your going with Shawn. Wife and I just returned from almost 6,000 KM trip . We are right on the BC/WA border, inland route through Zion to Sedona AZ then returned more of less up the coast home. So looking forward to seeing your video series
Cool trip! Btw, I went Jeeping in Anzo-Berrego recently. Me and a friend are cyclist, so we did a mountain ride climb before our Jeep meet up. We came across long horn goats. You have to go up in elevatiion above AB to find them. Love your channel. Enjoy Alaska.
I have been waiting for this trip since you talked about it in 2019!!👍👍
Great update. I’m excited to see all of the footage from this trip. It’s a trip we were hoping to take this year but I’m gonna put off till next year. So many trips in so little time. Lol.
Drove from Massachusetts to deadhorse last year and got a broken windshield 80 miles in on alaska hiway. Best trip of my life.
Glad the trip is going well and sorry to hear about your shoulder. If makes you feel any better, I’m 4 weeks out from hip labrum and impingement surgery done at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Just off crutches and doing great. Take care the rest of the trip! Can’t wait for the videos!
Praying for yall’s safety! Loved the update, been waiting!
Awesome views, can't wait for more. Enjoy...so jealous!
Glad to see Brad... Shaun, Overlanding
Thanks for the update. Have a safe trip man. Great company also, Shawn is a awesome dude. I look forward to watching the adventure 👍
Hi Brad.. I love doing this trip with you .. Keep safe! 🙂
Going up then Alcan Highway to Alaska, exploring all the side trails in Canada and Alaska is on my bucket list. My grandfather had duty on it after the war was over. He’d been wounded during Market Garden and was assigned as an instructor at the base near the Boeing plant getting ready for the invasion of Japan.
I hope rehab works out for you, it bought me 12 yrs before I had to have my labrum and rotator scar tissue cleaned up.
Super jealous. Have a blast, share your adevnture, and keep giving me trip ideas! Love the content man!
Absolutely AWESOME! I always look forward to your videos and appreciate you sharing in your experiences and adventures!
Nothing but well wishes, respect and crossed fingers you guys will be able to use the ferries for crossing!
Can’t wait to see the videos to come! You guys stay safe and venture on!!!
Great series, ty. Excited to see the far north from your unmatched perspective!
Can’t wait for the video series!! However love these sitreps, so def keep them coming when you can! Just this one video has already made this trip a bucket list trip for my buddy and I. Enjoy it guys!
Great video, thanks for sharing. Love the Four Wheel Camper set up.
I’m fairly new to your channel, and enjoy your coverage and style very much! Thank you and enjoy your safe travels!
Having a blast hanging out with you too brother! We're crushing this trip! I say if the ferries aren't running we swim to Tuk!!
Both ferries are running as of this morning. Hopefully they get the highway issue resolved and you can get through..
@@tbtsyncro we just came from the peel crossing. Not opening today. They were still running the cable across.
@@TheStoryTillNow well boo on that. I heard they were both going to be online today. Although not the worst place to be waiting. The Nitainlai campground on the far side of it has hot showers. Its not overlanding, but they''re a nice perk along the way,
so happy you finally made it up to Canada. the views are as expected. :)
Hi Brad, I really enjoyed the video. Safe travels, Sir. I’m looking forward to more great content. Thank you for sharing!😊
👍 I knew this was gonna be a fantastic voyage from the gitgo. Safe travels as you continue north.
Wow Brad, that opening scene... Just stunning. I'm so jealous. I'm getting very close to retiring myself and am so looking forward to planning and enjoying the adventures.
Aussie fan 👍🦘🇦🇺
that view of the background is insane!!
Awesome update, nice to see the Prospector XL on the trip. Those Hawk front dinettes do tend to get heavy. The Rebel + AEV parts already deduct from the 2,200 lbs payload leaving maybe 1700?before bumpstops. I got a 3500 (3.9k payload) for this reason so will be cool to see how it did. Great trip and thanks for sharing the update!
Thanks for the update. Trip sound epic! Excited for the videos!
You most definitely drove right through my hometown of Prince George BC. I hope to one day travel up to the Yukon. I can’t wait for the series that comes out of this, both from you and Shaun.
My buddy Greg (driving a white F250 with a camper shell) is a bit ahead of you, already at the Arctic Circle, but you might actually be there when this video dropped. He's headed the same place you are and is stalled, awaiting the ferry openings, just as you are. It's been fun watching both of you migrate north (I'm tracking him on Google Earth and we're staying in contact via Skylink).
I'm looking forward to all your installments on this adventure, and as always, thanks for sharing.
Steve
Looks like a great trip. Will be watching. BTW bear spray is useless.
Love the "situational" reports! Travel safely.
Can’t wait for the video series !!!
Looks like a great trip so far. Well done ! 👍
This is great, have a good time man.
Yukon Territory Campsites are awesome and most provide firewood and have shelters for cooking, etc. in them
Beautiful scenery. Watch that sunburn though, you're looking a little red.
You’re one lucky 🍀 guy too be able too travel like you do!!
The tines I was in AK, late summer, there were no bugs to speak of.
That's a trip I'd like to make. And seeing Sean's rig is giving me lots of ideas. Just bought a 2024 Ram 2500 gas engine. Would love to mount one of those 4 Wheel campers on the back.
I'm eagerly awaiting for the video series! My goal is to take my FC-150 (heavily modified) up to the Arctic Circle within the next few years.
Do not worry about edits to you get home , enjoy the experience !
Make time for Liard Hot Springs. You won’t regret it…
I put 8mil thick film on all my cars windshields and it really stops rock chips and cracks. My JK had 8 rock chips in the first 18 months, replaced teh glass and then applied film. 4 years later plenty of rock hits here in AZ but not one chip, bullseye or crack
Brad looking rugged. this is next level adventure! haha!
Lol a bug literally flew in front of the camera as you said that they were almost nonexistent lol. Have a safe trip.
If you have the time, when you’re coming back from Tuktyuktuk, have you considered going into Alaska? You can take the George Black Ferry across the Yukon in Dawson City and then follow Top of the World to the Taylor Hwy. If you really have the time, you could take a detour to Eagle, the oldest city in Alaska and site of the first federal courthouse, then come back down the Taylor to the Alaska Hwy near Tok. If you’re driving down all the way, you will pass through the roughest section of the Alaska Hwy and then Kluane Lake, which is also a really pretty area, and then you’ll hit Whitehorse and be where you are now-ish.
May the lord bless you and keep you safe on your journey.
Beautiful place and fantastic
On two different road trips my windshield took a beating. From getting sandblasted by a dump truck to a rock hit that sounded like a shotgun blast. Ugh.
Can't wait to see where you were at up here in WA! I live just south of the border! Would have been cool to see you!
Some day I will make a trip to Alaska to do some prospecting and relaxation.
When you get to Dawson City you have to do the “toe shot” please!!
👍👍😊 have a great trip!
Had to laugh when the bug flew by as you were saying bugs have been nonexistent.
Haha. I noticed the same thing.
Great video Brad! Be safe!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome Safe Travels
Racing Optics 3 layer film for that windshield ... some people scoff at the price, but I've taken some serious rock hits without any cracks.
Except for the Sheep & Grizz- you can come and see all that wild life in New England:) Love following your travels. cheers
ouch on the shoulder! im out for 6 weeks with shoulder surgery recovery. i tore mine and have limited movement / pinched feeling. 20 years as a mechanic! im on day 3 im better but the first 48 hours was very painful. make sure they do a good nerve block if you get it done!
Just came across your channel, very interesting. I would be interested in seeing your current Gladiator and trailer set. Good luck, look forward to next video
I hope you share the route as part of your video series.
What an adventure. I give it a year before Brad moves...
What a great trip you're having. I'm glad you're able to see one of your dreams come true.
I'm awfully jealous, tho.
Great video as always Greetings from Redondo Beach, CA.
Awesome and good luck🤙🤙🤙
The ferries should open today (June 3rd) at 5pm. Then there’s a washed-out highway to deal with, but I hope Brad can stick with Plan A.
I told you to come to Canada to see big horn sheep! I'm stoked for you.
Welcome to Canada! Happy you’re seeing some wildlife… or as we like to call them, “landlords”. If you want to see proper bugs, make a trip out east in northern Ontario and Quebec. The mosquitos and black flies are often confused with birds of prey and sometimes carry beavers, baby moose and Toronto Maple Leaf fans away to their lairs…..
Good job on that bug timing 👏 😂, can't wait for more updates
Brad, thanks for the sitrep, I am looking forward to seeing this trip via your videos. At 2:50, what mountain is in the background? Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your service in the Navy, from a fellow corpsman. Ken
You guys out there doing one of my dream trips. The difference being I want to do it in an old, unreliable, inefficient, underequipped junky Jeep that barely runs.
Good stuff Brad...
