Quench verses air cool. Do we make Brass softer or harder? Softer in Brass requires quenching. Overheating will burn out the alloys. How will direct surface heat not burn up the alloys?
Looking at all the annealer options out there, be they DIY or already made, and obviously came across this unit by Annealeez. Went to their website and while it's still the same price, $375, it seems they've changed the design just a tad. Changed it in that they no longer have the propane extension hose coming out of the unit and now only offer it with what's no more then a friggin' muffler clamp as the propane tank holder. What the bleep! Anyone order one recently and can tell me if that is indeed the case or does it still come with the hose coming out of the unit and the picture is merely a different not upgraded version? Or, have they cheaped out? If so, does anyone know why? That was a nice option and touch. Thanks in advance....
I love anealeez proudly displays the American flag on their product but has a disclaimer on their website “ We are experiencing import delays from China for Speed Controllers”. Now that’s a real class act!
Hi, I'm in the middle of building one of these, but I can't get hold of the black nylon wheel that transfers the brass from the hopper. I presume it's nylon? Could you give me the details you used in your internet search to find this type of item? Also, could you give me it's width, depth, and center hole diameter. I'm in the UK. Thank-you in advance. J.
Why don't you explain what was incorrect and how it should be done, here and or in the video description for people that see this one and might not see your other one...?
So you are essentially turning .223 into a 5.56 round? I guess that won't matter as long as your firearm is able to safely chamber 5.56. Also, are you sure it's a good idea to have a torch set up on the same bench as your reloading rig?
@@jwpjwp20 read through the Hornady manual and did separate research for about a year. Finally got my setup going a year ago. I've put together a good number of rounds since then with no drama.
I wouldn't cut that bolt. I think that long bolt is so you can adjust the torch out for longer pieces of brass.... Magnums, etc.
That blue tip of flame should be about 1/8" from touching the brass, most efficient heat. Tip from gas welding.
Yeah, we dialed it in. Thanks
You could get a 14" sheetrock mud pan to catch the brass
I use a 10 inch baking pan to catch the brass. I put a counter on it . saves me a lot of work and burnt fingers

Lies; it's $275

Don't cut that bolt. It is long to allow adjustment of flame location for different length cases.
No kidding. Doh!

5 sec is to short. try right till you see the flame on the case turn orange. on a single torch set at that distance 7-9 sec
your torch is set up incorrectly.
aahunt031 Hunt yes, it was. That is why I posted the follow up video with explanation of the excitement setting it up.
Thanks for watching!

Dropping the heated brass in water vs letting it cool in air, the pros and cons?
Non ferrous. It doesn’t have the structure to hold a quenched hardness.
How can I get in contact with you??
Infowars… gate 1…. It’s a start
Made my own for less than 100 and it doesn't have a d!ck and bawz sticker on it.
i love it
Nice Rig
Infowars…..hahaha, talking about disturbed🤣🤣🤣
Just a little to much time in the heat.

Annealing brass has nothing to do with 5.56 annealing is done to achieve longer brass life, lower sd and es on loads...
I clicked this video JUST to see the safety experts. Found one!!!
@@jwpjwp20 I have been doing a lot of research since that comment. I'm still concerned about mounting a torch on the same bench as a powder hopper.

👏 wow
With shipping >$300 cost.
worth every penny!
You are not even close to annealing that brass at that speed!!!!
Infowars? LOL
I stopped watching after infowars plug 🤣👎🏽
I was interested right up until I saw that infowars bullshit on the hopper. That's 2 minutes I wish i had back.
