Hornady Upgrades! With the Mighty Armory Die
I bought some of these when they first came out and I'm thinking about reloading them now years later after using up most of my made supply. I shoot mainly CZs. I may sort out all the non-coated ones(from other shooters) and try running them. I shoot with 124PD. I don't have a primer pocket checker but I I might get one. I have noticed that my cases are hard to spot in gravel being grey. I tried some blue dychem on a few cases and that helped. I think a light green or red light blue would be good. I try to hit just the steel base when coloring. I may be loading up some 9mm major rounds with these as well but someone mentioned the case mouth tension might lead to bullet setback and higher pressures (where as brass cases are more malleable and can hold the bullet a bit better. IDK. I do have an annealer, though I wonder if that would help at all or if anyone has even tried it.
I just reloaded some of these and about half of them are trashed after trying to size them to plunk in my chamber or try to bell the case mouth. When I do either of these setps in minimal fashion, the casewall pulls apart from the case head creating a gap that you can see light through very easily. They can be reloaded without belling the case but bullet seating is a real pain then. I want to see someone deprime size and bell the case without creating a gap between the casehead
Don't buy this product it's garbage, and the customer service is terrible
Had mine since 2016. Works great. What's the problem you see?
@vyxaer the flapper doesn't work right. Sometimes it opens, and sometimes it doesn't close
Why not just go with .38 Super instead of futzing with 9mm Major? It does everything you want it to do, you can use 9mm bullets for reloading, and you don't have to risk grenading anything
God bless America
Do you gas check your subs for the blackout?
Gas checks are recommended for velocities over 1200 FPS, since i loaded these at 1040FPS gas checks were not needed for the subs.
😔🤗👍♠️🔺️😇🇺🇲
Anyone viewing this should checkout a channel called TNL, he’s got a setup that makes it so the casefeeder can be employed for super fast increase in production.
No joke man I have the same setup and even got the tip from FC45LC but the red powder from Eastwood is not clinging at all! Ive tried and tried but the coat is spotty and weak. Any tips?
What do you call the bins that put the bullets in?
God bless America we the people an orange juice
Common sense is gone in this country but I blame it on the Democrat party our government
It even supports the transgender community but it doesn't support transgenders reading to children
But God bless our constitution it's amazing that people don't understand the words
I don't drink coffee I don't understand it tastes yucky
Nobody has ever called the constitution "hate speech." When i search "constitution is hate speech" on google, the only result is about how the first amendment protects hate speech. Literally nobody calling the constitution hate speech. I also found this Trump quote: "A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution," so an ex-president, possible future prssident wanting to terminate the constitution. So what are you mad about? The fake thing you made up or the thing a politician wrote down and broadcast to the world?
I am 100% patriot and 100% MAGA
Now that's good ole American engineering right there. Very Cool!
Would you give steel mill farms a shout out they stand for freedom?
we plan on it, however this is a tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11
@@minutemencoffee yes sir I appreciate your tribute to the people who lost their lives that day, Never forget.
Great Coffe I have never tasted a Coffe so good as this one great job sir.
Thank you kindly! We sure appreciate it! Go check out our new podcast @minutemenpodcast here on the Tube!
This is on my subscription list. One of their best
Thank you very much!
Best coffee ever! Will never drink another brand.
Couldn't agree more!
Nice videos and information! About the dremeling... I just turned the shellplate upsidedown and put a puny iron pipe on the cranelocks and givem a whack... that smoothed out the indexing without permanent dremling damages. Further it is reversible if you flipem around and you can keep whacking your cranelocks. 😅
Great tip!
The alloy lee uses to get the weight in their molds is 5% tin 95% lead. Wheel weights will throw that off a lot. Pure lead will bring the weight to be slightly higher. To get the weight you have to use nearly pure lead like what lee uses
Infowars… gate 1…. It’s a start
I am going to drink what I have left of my Black Rifle Coffee and switch to Minutemen. If it's good enough for Uncle Ted, it's Good Enough for me!!!
Hi I’m looking at buying that furnace and I like the switch idea just wondering if you can post pics of interior wiring please
I am sorry but that unit is packed and in storage until we get the new shop built I do not have any photos of the interior wiring
That blue tip of flame should be about 1/8" from touching the brass, most efficient heat. Tip from gas welding.
Yeah, we dialed it in. Thanks
Thanks for the lesson 🙂
great prestation , this was help full. bill
Hi , hope you guys are well. Im new in casting bullets but need to get more info on lead hardness. I have purchased a block of lead which I don't know the harness off. What can happen if I cast bullets with too soft lead on .308 . I want to quench with cast and powdercoat afterwards. Does this increase the strength enough of the bullet? Will a soft lead powder coated bullet be safe too shoot in 308? Thank you
I just started using IMR 4227 for 7.62x39 rounds. I am wanting to start reloading using IMR 4227 for 300 Blackout. IMR 4227 has ling been my favorite powder for 357 and 44. I am trying to get down to 4 to 6 powders for all my reloading needs.
Could you talk about steel mill farms
Where are your gas checks?
I wanted to thank you for the video. I have been using Eastwood. When I checked prices, powder by the pound seemed like you had to buy more than a pound or two at a time…Eastwood is easy and fairly good results.
Which color from what company have you found has best adherence and coverage?
Look good dude😊
Great content !
Infowars…..hahaha, talking about disturbed🤣🤣🤣
What happens when lead WW's are no longer available? In Wa state lead is banned just like everything else.
No "on/off" because you should reset the control to 0 and let it cool with the fan on.
But the fan only blows on the cool side of the unit where the electrical stuff is. I know that some of the components associated with the PID controller can get moderately warm, but come on. Many of us built PID controllers in stand alone metal enclosures following Johnny's Reloading bench, and they work fine switching them off when done casting. It just seems very much overkill for Lyman not to include a simple rocker or toggle switch. (Unless the divider and insulation is compromised, or not working for some other reason.) Only then I could understand having to wait for cooling and letting a fan run for 20 minutes.
@@PatriotPaulUSA Regardless, that is what RCBS says must be done.
I was interested right up until I saw that infowars bullshit on the hopper. That's 2 minutes I wish i had back.
Your no patriot sir
Yes he is. 💯 🇺🇸 👍🏻
How do you even know? Your sick to judge others weirdo!
Ditched BRCC switched to Minutemen Coffee, glad a did as better coffee, service, and are supporting true patriots!
I figured I was getting mostly supersonic with 10.3 grains of IMR 4227 out of my 8.5 inch palmetto state upper. I will drop my next batch down to 10 grains and should get the same 1050 fps we seen here. Also hope to get the same accuracy, because at 10.3 I was holding a fairly tight group.
Have you tried plain lubed lead 230 grain bullet and case totally full of trail boss?.
Do some colors work better than others in the Powder by the Pound brand ? I'm new to powder coating and in watching videos some say that different colors of some brands don't work as well as others. Does the color matter ? Thank you!
Wait, Elvis round for the short barrel is 10.8 grains of IMR 4227 with the Lee missle. I just loaded up a 50 rounds with 10.8 grains I hope I'm still subsonic
Same here, waited so many years because of the cost. Last year I got my hands on a couple hundred pounds of lead and watching my father in law make is own jigs I decided to take his melting pot for a spin to see if I would enjoy casting and low and behold I can't get enough of it. This has been my new favorite hobby.
You are not even close to annealing that brass at that speed!!!!
What is that mold named again?
