Sad to see the barn so quiet. We milked 125 head here in East TN until the buyout in the 80s. I was young and was angry about it for a long time. I miss it. Nowadays, the local school kids go to dairies on field trips. 😂
Nice to watch everyone working together . . . back in the day I was the youngest of five brothers . . . I don't think we worked that smoothly together . . . good job boys. Cheers.
@@acresofclayhomestead hopefully it will we're still working on it, building a whole new barn holding pen freshening pens, parlor and milk house. Trying to do most of it ourselves
Happy 21st Birthday Ethan! Boy, what a process for removing the bulk milk tank from its original home. Kind of a unique milk parlor on the farm where you bought this tank too!
Hi. I was in church today and i was talking whit someone who's husband had got covid, and i said i dont have that and her father said you will get it and said no not never it s not for me. So when i walked home from church i got to think, that i am now 61 and i have not been sick for over 40 years praise God i can not remember when i last was sick, praise God.
Happy birthday Ethan. You can't go wrong with good ole chocolate cake. Nice barn and shame it's no longer a dairy. At least you are using the bulk tank. Thanks for sharing
.... exciting times when expanding ... bonus finding used in working order close to your operation ... with shutting down their dairy operation, have they rented out their hay fields as well or are they completely crop farmers now .... great that your lads can all pitch in to get things moved .... thx for sharing Rhonda .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
I'm in New Zealand. The co-op owns the bulk milk tanks here and yesterday they swapped our existing 9100 ltr for a 16 000 ltr. A lot easier as our tank is outside, so simply lift it off with a hiab truck and drop the new one in its place. Then the refrigeration technician and electrician reconnected everything. All done in about 3 hrs between milkings
Nice 2000 gallon Delaval. Hope it all works for you. I like watching this. This is what I do for a living. I have installed between 2000-3000 tanks over the years a little north of Michigan in Ontario. I lost track about 30 years ago. When the electric drain buzzes and makes too much noise put a dependo drain on it. You will like how quiet it is🙂. I like watching your channel. Keep it up.
That cooler unit looked a little dusted. Going to take a good cleaning up when you set everything back up. The must have set the tank and built the barn around it...
I helped a neighbor farmer, put in a smaller bulk milk tank (40 cow dairy ) yrs ago , when the milk plant no longer, would talk his canned milk, we built a new house to accommodate the bulk tank , but we had to the tank from a farm no longer milking cows, it was in a concrete block milk house, what a pain to knock down a concrete block wall to get the bulk tank out and then, board up the hole in the milk house wall, it's been 45 years ago, I still remember what an untaking it was , how's MacKenzie puppy "Dakota "doing ,well I hope!
Nice job of moving the tank! You are fortunate to have a buyer for more milk production. Many dairies have a production ceiling - if their output goes above the maximum, they will receive a lower price.
Kevin You and all your boys are doing a fantastic job moving that tank It’s called ( Yankee Inguinity ) Just work safe and go slow and wear your gloves because if you rush that’s when accidents happen
Great job. Brings back memories of when we bought a used 1,000 gal tank to replace our 500 gal. one. The farm was about an hour from us and they had expanded to a larger new parlor and milk house. My Dad was the refrigeration expert and electrician. Our neighbor had a lowboy and heavy equipment to help us move it. In the early ‘60’s the farms in our area were going from cans to bulk and my Dad to on the Sunset Bulk Tank dealership and self taught refrigeration. We got the tanks from rail siding in the nearby town, used 2” pipe rollers to move them around and transport to local farms and installed them. Most tanks were 300 gal or less a lot of small dairies in those days. Mostly stanchion barns. I remember when we occasionally got a 500 gal tank in, it was huge. Lol These we’re all neighbors buying tanks and Dad wasn’t trying to profit from it just did it to help everyone get into bulk milk which was being required at that time. Either put in a tank or had to get out of dairy business. Progress I guess.
Nice move folks!! Very smooth and careful! Good to see another tank put to use in your barn. As somebody once said, "team work makes the dream work"! 😀
I can tell you as someone that works for a rigging company, you guys did a nice job moving and picking that tank. When you get 25 comments on all the things you did wrong, and how you should've done it differently pay no attention lol.. that's exactly how a professional rigging team would have done that👍
Thanks!! I think it all went very smoothly. Although, I realize that everyone has their own opinion on how things "should have" been done, but we got it home safely and that was the biggest concern.
Teamwork good to see family working together ...happy birthday Ethan it is hard to see a farm down at least it will help another one keep going🙂you must be a proud mom
Great video Rhonda and HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN. Take care and have a blessed day and I'll see you on your next video. Stay warm and hope Dakota is doing better.
Happy 21st Birthday Ethan! Awesome job with the extraction of the bulk tank from the old, abandoned barn. The Acres of Clay wrecking crew pulled it off without any setbacks. Now... On to the next task.
Happy birthday to Nathan. It's fun watching Sanders figuring out what all he could build out of items at the other farm. Glad to see you guys getting the milking equipment rather then it going to scrap.
Happy birthday Ethan. 🥳🎂🎁 I don't care what anybody says, you did a good job getting the tank out of the barn. Hope it goes in to your barn as easy and everything works as it should. 👍
Happy late birthday Ethan. To look and think on the day there was cows in the barn and not no more is just sad. Ive went back to farms ive work and a lot of old memories came rushing back of days gone by. Thank you for sharing gald your adding another tank.
You know Dakota would've "supervised" were she feeling better.Glad she's better...and 'Kenzie looks relieved( last vid)...Happy B'day Ethan. Welcome to "legal age"... so much " funner" ha ha..Glad the tank move went safe/well...hope it means more money in ya'lls pockets... and Thank Ya'll for dairy farmin' and feedin' and fixin' 🇺🇸!👍🐄🌟🥇🌽🌱🚜🍨🍦☕👀
First I'd like to say happy birthday Ethan. You no longer wet-behind-the-ears LOL internet. Second thing is it's so sad to see anything have to be shut down for whatever reason. We used to have 4 Dairies here in our very small County here in Colorado. But I'm glad to see that you guys are able to use someone else's equipment. So good luck on your guys's Dairy business and for the tank to work out for you. May the good Lord bless you guys always take care of yourself and please be careful PS so glad to see Dakota is doing better
Happy Birthday Ethan and you guys did a good job with the moving of the bulk tank that went smooth . I have helped my brother with a couple and you would not been able to put any of it on due to language every thing worked out fine ...
Looks like a pretty good purchase, never easy moving walls but you got it done rather handily, great you could find another tank so close, can't wait for the next chapter in this, great video, Happy Birthday, Ethan
Happy birthday, Ethan.... I would think it is an insulated tank so a tank, within a tank. Great job removing the walls and getting it out of the milk house without any "whoops" or "Doggone its".....lol Shame so many family run dairy's are going out of business. We were in Wisconsin "Dairyland", last year and many farms are raising grain and out of the dairy business.
Ethan, I wish you a Happy Birthday!! Good job on moving the tank. I have helped move smaller tanks, 500 and 750 gallon, they were not too bad but you guys made that one look easy.
Ethan, Happy Birthday. It's sad to see farms not farming any more, be it milking or other types of farms. You guys did an amazing rigging job. What's Kevin's thoughts of the cooler units units ? definitely not a plug n play set up.
Good luck installing your milk tank
Great video Ronda and family
Happy birthday Ethan, enjoy that chocolate cake.

Interesting. My dad was a mueller dealer. Installed a ton of those. Add a preheated. Cut your cooling cost down by 70%
