- Come along as I we milk cows, pick up a dumpster and have a bake sale.
We milk our cow's twice a day. About once a week I help with the process.
The guys have come up with a plan to turn an old trash compactor into something useful for the new workshop.
Also, Mackenzie and I worked hard to make a successful craft and bake sale.
In the link below, you will find Mackenzie's Holiday soaps. Thanks for watching!

I used to see those compactors in paper mill. They compact the scrap paper then band it haul it to were the process starts a dump it back in. Those snacks look awesome. Can't wait to see the door. Welker farms has an interesting big door too.
Wow - what a lineup of goodies at your bakery sale. If you want a job done, give it to a busy woman and she will get it done! Old saying my grandmother used to say.
Love Kevin sense of humor. You two are a great couple and parents.
Thank GOD for the Strong Dedication of our American Farmers. Without Farmers, Life as we Know it would Not be Possible. Think about that for a Second. 🤔👍🙏
And on the 8th day God made a farmer.
In agree thankfuL for all farmers and ranchers!😇🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Kevin has a sharp eye for buying scrap metal for 1 usable part and Sydney is very brilliant on electrical matters!! Your bakery products are a real temptation to my spare tire Rhonda 🎉❤ Your videos are a real life inspiration!
Great vlog! Interesting
Hard work. Worked on a small dairy in 1965. 46 cows. As foe here in Oregon. This morning 7 am was still dark. And at 5:30 this eve was getting dark fast. Love the vids. Almost 80 now. Brings back some fond memories.
You folks are the busiest & the best. God bless❤
I'm really looking forward to seeing that hydraulic door opener work. Kevin and the boys never cease to amaze me with their talents.
The shop is very big. It's a dream for most.
Where else would we go until the end I'm not missing one second,, great video thanks Ronda Kevin and family I'm a believer 🙏❤❤
Thanks for watching! We appreciate your support.
That Kevin is a rock star. He is so smart. You were lucky to grab him. Ha. Hes the lucky one
Another terrific parts and pieces info and instruction episode. I never knew cows didn't have upper teeth! Really enjoying this one. After the bake sale I could hear your exhaustion. You are a machine in all you do.
Bake Sale looked Really Yummy. 👍🙏
In SW Pennsylvania, sunrise is around 7:15 AM and sunset is around 5 PM. There’s a hilltop on our farm where you can look towards the west and watch the sun set and see on the horizon how the sun travels south each day until the first day of winter then slowly starts north and the days slowly get longer.
Just love it when Sydney said "come on ma'. (while waiting 4 help 2 push ur scaffolding) very much enjoy u & urs. Farmers r (AND their woman folk) resilient Americans. Rhonda you've done good...See-ya
Good idea with the compacter.
I sure do love when this video starts out with the milking video I really enjoy the channel I'm excited to see the new shop your kids are super smart I learn a lot every time I watch this Channel thanks for taking me along it gets dark about 5:00 5:30 here in Central Utah thanks for everything that you do Rhonda and family take care God bless
It’s all about cud chewing. More time laying, more time chewing. More chewing better milk.
Watching here from Wexford southern Ireland and I have just came in from doing evening milking and it’s bitter cold here today and here I am watching you and Kevin milking thousands of miles away but it looks so similar.
You guys will tackle anything. Great Video. Thanks for sharing
Wow Rhonda! You wore me out just describing all that baking you did! Also made me want cake and a cup of coffee. The coffee is in the pot. Everyone in your family work so hard!! I pray for each of you that our Heavenly Father will keep everybody safe!! Well the coffee is ready so here I go. Lol.. God bless !!! Eddy
Fantastic video
They both love there Blue Flennal
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Looking forward to seeing you in your next adventure. God bless 🤗❤️✝️
Another great update, great idea using the hydraulic unit for doors, well done with the baking
THIS video was a great idea to show how cows get milked I was listening to everything. Thank you for all answers that were very hard to pull out of the men I think it is difficult to get a lot of answers because we men are so into our work. You did a great job and I appreciate it so much. Thank you for being you 🙏
Good morning everyone! The little black kitten sat on the towel cart so patiently, just waiting for some milk, did it get a taste? My weekly loaf of bread just went in the oven, I started just letting it rise in the pan once some time ago. It saves so much time and I enjoy the texture better, the air pockets are larger (more room for butter or jam). Now the bake sale is complete, maybe you can get some time to relax, a least just a bit. Have a safe and blessed week.
Good to see the calves, and I wish I live closer. I would have bought some pastries even though I shouldn't have them. I'm on the carnivore diet it's been great.
Going to be a great shop when finished, you guys can do anything.
Wonderful and Informative video Ronda! The information shared in the milk parlor about cows and their "abilities" was really enjoyable. Not to mention (selfishly) the update on the shop progress and how the hydraulic motor will be incorporated was really cool! Don't ever think that what you, Kevin and the family present isn't enjoyable and informative, because we look forward to the content each time! Denise also mentioned that your hard work with the bake sale is to be commended! To spend 17 hours in one day in the kitchen, if we had a way to order some of your bunt cakes we would! May you, Kevin and the family have a great week! Thanks so much for your efforts in sharing! Blessings to you all.
Thank you for the kind words!! We appreciate you watching!
Thank you Ronda for sharing your wonderful video much. Appreciated ❤❤❤❤
Oh WOW Ronda, I learn something new from You, Kevin and Sydney everyday
I am so impressed ❤😊
Great video Rhonda. Take care and have a blessed and safe week 🙏
I am a follower, but had not seen the Milking Parlor yet... I was SUPER impressed with the fresh water cleaning hose right there.. Including washing off the hooves !
Thanks for all the Fun Facts!
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it.
We are in spring here in Australia and doesn't get dark till around 10pm at night
Good fun facts about the cows.
Lots of good information Rhonda Kevin and Sydney
I enjoy your videos very much and to let you know having owned a farm market with a bakery in it you will never figure out the public because every day it changes but it is fun and it’s always a Blessing from God ❤
Thanks for that input!!
Green Acres of Clay, Wonderful episode. I'm loving that workshop. Tell Sydney to throw that controller in the garbage can. He knows how that works. A switch to go up and one to go down. A sensor to know when the door is fully open and one to sense when its fully down. Come on Sidney show us the brains we all know you have. Thank you, Rhonda and Kevin, God Bless...
All those bake goods looked great . Traditional country moms cooking, baking all perfect.😊
I love that huge shop that you all are building and would love to see more of it..❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
Sour dough bread is always a good seller at our shows and markets
Yes, that's my top seller
If I wasn't 1500 miles from ya'll you would have sold all those baked goods. I love anything home baked. Also love your channel.
Thanks, we appreciate you watching!
I remember when we had a small dairy herd when I was young, the cows remembered which stall was theirs when they came into the barn, and the boss cow was always one of the first in. South central MN sunset was 4:49 today. (I don't like the lack of daylight between now and March, not a fan of cold and snow either, lol)
bravi bravi e beautiful family congratulescions kiss kiss
Great video thanks for sharing
So at the moment we get dark at 5.15 and at mid December we get dark by 4.45. Mid June when we look to the northern sky there is always a bit of light on a clear night. At 54degrees north we have long winter nights but only 3 hours darkness in mid summer.
Our temperatures are seldom below freezing and rarely in the eighties Fahrenheit.
That’s Ireland 🇮🇪
Be sure to install a couple of pioneer couplers in the lines for the door so if the power goes out or your pump fails, you can raise the door with tractor hydraulics.
Also restrictors at the cylinders so the door lowers slowly in case of a hydraulic hose failure.
Love to watch you and your family. Up here in far north Maine we get dark a 4:35 EST
It was nice to meet you all in person at the craft show yesterday. Sorry i didn't buy anything!
Thanks for coming by! I enjoyed meeting you too!!
WOW all your baked items sounds so good. Congratulations on your sales.
The dumpster project sounds interesting. 😊❤❤
Also a fun fact when the cows are in the pasture, grazeing the majority of them are all facing the same direction
Great video, love these longer ones.
You are an awesome baker, next bake sale you will know that bread is the Winner.
Hydraulic door will be a cool project. Glad the pump works.
Hi Ronda and Kevin and three boys just finished watching video it’s was awesome love how three sitting in truck and laughing plus all four you in shop love family quality time and as always you all be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ronda if I was at the Bake Sale, I definitely would have bought the Banana and Apple cider Bundt cakes. They look so delicious and I’ll bet they taste amazing❤😊
Good Sunday Morning Ronda 👋👋😊😊
Thanks for a wonderful video
Sydney has become alot more comfortable being on camera and we dont see Ethan as much anymore lol. Still enjoy the videos
You dealt with a lot of interesting details about cows today. I have watched other dairies and I learned a fair amount from your video. Thank you for sharing today. . . . Kevin and your older sons understand electricity fairly well. The compactor seems to be a good buy.
I am shivering while I watched you this time. Hope I'm not coming down with something😮
I agree cows have more intelligence than most people give them credit for
Hope you stay healthy!!
It gets dark here in Ga. now around 6:15 6:30 pm watching y'all milk brings back memories I started when I was 15 in a flat barn
Good information on the components of the milk increasing due to them laying, I didn't know that, thanks. I like Kevin's can do attitude, he doesn't let anything keep him from doing a project with new ideas. Wow, 17 hours baking is a lot, your food looks great, maybe a lot of folks are like me, trying to lose weight through a caloric diet. Thanks for the update on the shop, coming right along. I hope you all have a great afternoon and week ahead.
Bravo Rhonda Kevin and family always great content and viewing oh nice food blessings
My dad would buy the most ridiculous thing that drove my mom crazy at times. One day he drove in pulling an old tar wagon. On the back of this contraption was a 2.5 HP hit and miss engine. Then he framed another contraption that was to make homemade ice cream, and the hit and miss engine powered the 5 gallon ice cream maker which we still have. So, when men buy things its better not to question why until it is finished, because maybe at the time they don't know its purpose. I'm sure dad knew why he bought it because it has given us many hours of pleasure running the hit and miss, and then eating the homemade ice cream.
We had a family milk cow and we liked the Jersey cow for more cream and richer tasting milk. We were able to make more butter and she gave plenty of milk for are family and raised a few calfs.
Good job.
Good video good to see y'all
Awesome video as always! Looks like the shop is coming along good. You can mail me some of the cupcakes and Bundt cake. Ha Ha. Your friend from Virginia. Have a nice week.😊😊
All looking Beautiful have a Beautiful week love you all from Australia ❤❤❤❤❤
It gets dark here in NW Mississippi between 5:00-5:30.
I think a need a cute calf in my life. lol you know them boys could not have moved that scaffolding with you. 😊
If I had been at that bake sell I’d bought one of every thing sweets is my weakness
I really enjoyed this video I never knew about cows and tape and nobody laying down make more milk interesting
You guys (and gals) are going to love working in that shop area. Hopefully you have a good heat source to heat it on the cold days if you are working in it. Rhonda, tell Kevin and the guys to consider some LED shop lights in there. They give off good light with low current draw. My Dad has used them in his garage and had pretty good luck with them. We have had a few fail but they work pretty well and are not that expensive. Maybe 35 or 40 bucks a piece.
Glad you did good at the sell . Hope the pump works out
Well we are on the same time as yall in Alabama don't like it and don't like the cold weather lol always enjoy see you on Sunday morning I still say you have the most beautiful eyes yall have a good day

I live outside of Boston and it’s dark by 430. In another few weeks the sun will start to set around 345 and it will be dark by 4 pm! We should be in the Atlantic time zone!
That's super early! Makes the days feel short.
Your lucky to have such a smart family hard workers to
Great update Rhonda!!! Very interesting facts about the cows! Looking forward to see the progress on the workshop. Your baked goods looked delicious😋 I’m right across the lake from you and it gets dark way way too early here! Be well!
Thank you for the gift!!!
Once they get home and taste em. They'll be back wantin more. Wish there was a way for us to buy some of your bake goods. My wife is the first to say that she's not a baker. As much as I wish she were.
Your baked goods looked delicious. You put a lot of effort into them.
I have never seen you trim the cows hooves I would really like to see that. Thanks be Blessed 💖💖🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Here in Wisconsin sun sets tonight at 4:26 today, on your hydraulic door I have heard of some having hydraulic hoses plumbed in in case electricty is off or motor fails they can operate the door from a tractor hydraulics
Great idea! The guys have talked about that.
Bonjour, toujours de superbes vidéos merci de nous les faire partager 😊
You can send some of those yummy treats my way!!! Question for Sydney,.....If a Baby Bull eats 1 bale of hay per day, and the Papa Bull eats 3 bales of hay per day, how many bales of hay per day does the Mama Bull eat?!?! (Ha!Ha!, there is no such thing as a Mama Bull.) Hope you guys can get the new shed enclosed by the time it gets really cold and snowy.
🤣
Cool idea for that huge door to use hydraulic . The door can also be used when open as a small covering for rain/snow if you back something into the shop to keep you dry momentarily. Door/Roof covering to shield out the elements. Guess a automotive lift wouldn't come in handy in the new shop, like tucked in a corner that may not be used. Would come in handy for oil changes and repairs underneath though. I can see it now,Kevin found a automotive lift at a auction in future episodes to come. Beats lying on your back to work on auto issues, possible welding repairs. Heavy duty hoists come in handy.
Hydraulic doors are pretty common on farm shops or machine sheds. 1 have a 18x30 ft Powerlift Door and that company offers up to 60ft wide models or custom built to 100 ft wide. Yes, its nice for shade or keep rain off if you want to work on something outside when it's warmer.
Good Church treat!
We are enjoying bread and cup cakes. Cookies....
Mackenzie goat milk soap always great to use:)
Thanks for the video. I wish I could buy your pastry. I was not good at farming but I am glad that you are.
