where was this video 11 years ago when I was swapping a b20 in my GSR after it hydro locked, lol good stuff man
big thanks for the video bro
If this video helped you I would really appreciate it if you show support to my main channel "Pushing Gears". Thank you & have a nice day!
You should do a video on the bypass on the crankshaft positioning sensor
I would just recommend getting the b20 ecu. I did the bypass and I still have a crank sensor code and the b18 ecu naturally runs the b20 a bit lean
Is that plug in play? Or do I have to solder things.
@@SeptemberSeptumis plug and play if both are obd2
Oh ok thanks
I have a 2000 integra with a b18b1 and my 3 cylinder valve is bad asfk won’t work so I was suggested to get a new engine a new crv engine same thing b18b1 but instead I wanna swap it to a b20b or a b20
This engine was out of a CRV, if you are planning on boosting the engine or making power keep the b18 n just swap out the head or do a valve job
So the power steering bracket on the b18b won’t fit on the b20b?
It does not
If your going to boost stick with the b18. Cylinder walls are so weak on a b20. Im not telling you anything everyone doesn't already know. N/a however go b20
Yeah, might rebuild the b18 n boost, or might just go with a NA K-swap, b20 is temporary
Just did a b20 swap on my 2000 integra and it’s cranks but won’t start it has spark and fuel if I’m not mistaken they could be crank sensor right
Yes that could totally cause it not to start
Also make sure you got all your three ground straps bolted in. That will also cause a no start
Theres one that connects to the top of the thermostat housing, one that goes next to the tranny mount, and the one on top of the valve cover
So what did you do to make the b20 run better aftermarket fuel regulator or something right ?
Probably better to just buy the ecu that matches that engine
Is the b20 ecu plug and play if I have a OB2 integra?
Im still running the b18 ecu to this day but i wouldnt recommend cause it does run leaner so you can blow your engine
I got a b20 into my 2000 integra ls it’s sounding like it’s got some plugs not plugged in right or it could also be the timing if any of you can reach out and would love to help me with the project I’d highly appreciate it
Did you wire the vtec ?
@@klalecherahim8895 b20s aren’t vtec… I’m aware of b20v’s
So it sounds like a misfire check your plugs and distributor
Did you run into b20 idle surge?
Not really any isues, when the car is cold it does surge a bit at low rpms, but after 5 mins of driving it goes away. I do get a code saying im running lean also, but no drivability issues at all with stock b18 ecu
Doing one in a 95 integra does ac bolt right up the same?
Good question, my b20 did not come with a ac bracket or compressor, so i bolted my ac bracket from my b18 into the b20.
@@MexicanGhost2013 did the ls compressor work?
@@BOOGEYMAN650 as long as you use the bracket, compresor, crank pulley and belt you can bolt it to the b20 no problem
@@MexicanGhost2013 thanks man I appreciate it!
