Tacoma LED Tail Lights troubleshooting *Aftermarket*
Переглядів 18 тис.3 роки тому
If you are installing LED tail lights in your 2001 Tacoma you must watch this first.
Did you make a video how you did it??
What are those wires laying on the ground ? Is that the wiring harness to the passenger tail light ? Was it difficult to remove from truck frame. I’m having trouble with my tail lights after having frame welded I think the harness was damaged great video. Thanks
Thank you. Good stuff!
YOU ARE THE FUCKIN MAN! THANKS FOR POSTING THIS! SAVED ME ALOT OF WORK!
Loveya brother 🫂
Very helpful very much appreciated
It’s not working for me, it’s stuck on options
FINALLY WE NEEDED THIS because I GOT SO ANNOYED with her hook so much.
Same
I have same problem with 02 prerunner! Thanks, I've been going crazy!
having problem where right tail running light doesnt work but the brake light does work, have switched bulbs and checked fuses, and my lights came with 6 pin connectors
Same here..what is the fix?..6 pin aftermarket lights, no tail or license light pass side
@@milesmahan i stil have the issue. I am going to check the 6 prongs for power
@BoloMIESTER ok i figured it out...power to taillight on pass side comes from jump wire on drivers side aftermarket taillight..new aftermarket has jump wire to that pin (lower right) , from ground( pin above it) So....remove jumper at upper right ground, move it to center upper ((source power from vehicle))...done..that power now goes to right side on lower right pin...right side after market 6 pin taillight is wired same and does not need to be altered...hope that helps!
Is the b20 ecu plug and play if I have a OB2 integra?
Im still running the b18 ecu to this day but i wouldnt recommend cause it does run leaner so you can blow your engine
Thank youu!
Am i the only one who absolutely loved her verse?
You the only one bro
I love her verse, it's what opened my eyes to her as an artiat
Th bro
Man, so glad I found this video. I likely would have similarly pulled out the wiring to figure it out. Thanks! My new taillights on my 2003 Tacoma work great now.
How to connect my device ?
So the power steering bracket on the b18b won’t fit on the b20b?
It does not
Thanks
This is what the world needed
1/4 lights don't work on right side
My rear tail lights work, but when I hit brake the left side goes bright red but the right side doesn’t show anything
The same thing was happening to me and that is why it is necessary to add the extra connections I explained
Great video...thanks for the explanation. Did you have to add a resistor to the tail lamps ? Can you also link where you got them?
:(
Can I play my music though? That’s my question
Yes
Thanks
Thank you dude I was worried I had messed up my wiring harness. This came clutch !
Appreciate the explanation, I have a question for you, I have the same lights, But my passenger side flashes fast. But all the lights work. My driver side blinker just stopped working. Do you have to replace the whole tail light ? or is there a LED replacement bulb?
The passenger is gonna flash fast because the driver burnout and they are wired in series. I believe the whole unit has to be replaced, the only replacable bulb was the reverse light bulb from what i remember.
Much better!
savior
how can i buy it? please send link website to buy .
Can you make one with just Kendrick 😫
Thanks bro
Amanda's verse makes me want to kill myself
I love my gla 250
Per to fucking fect
The 95-00 is a 5 pin connector, the 01-04 is a six pin. I have a 95 and an 01 and figured it out lol

Pro tip! Disassembling the plastic conector in the back is not necessary, just pull and it will disconnect.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking time to create this video! My husband and I searched everywhere for an answer. The driver side on our '03 Tacoma flashes just a little faster than the passenger side. Any ideas? We are okay if no solution because at least now all of the lights work, where before your video they did not. We really appreciate people like you taking time to post this for us. You saved us hours and lots of sleepless nights! :) You're the best!
Glad it helped you! I would say check that the front bulbs are not burnt out or the connections are not corroded. If you have a bad bulb in the circuit it will flash faster specially if you added LEDs
@@MexicanGhost2013 Thank you again! We will take a look. Much appreciated!!!!!
@@MexicanGhost2013 As a follow-up to your suggestion, I wanted you to know you were correct! Our front turn signal bulb had a weak socket. Thanks so much for all your help! 😀
Thank you so much bro! I fix it by myself! Now is working 👊🏻
You should do a video on the bypass on the crankshaft positioning sensor
I would just recommend getting the b20 ecu. I did the bypass and I still have a crank sensor code and the b18 ecu naturally runs the b20 a bit lean
Is that plug in play? Or do I have to solder things.
@@SeptemberSeptumis plug and play if both are obd2
Oh ok thanks
Y yeah I watched your video it helped Got the lights on
Did you run into b20 idle surge?
Not really any isues, when the car is cold it does surge a bit at low rpms, but after 5 mins of driving it goes away. I do get a code saying im running lean also, but no drivability issues at all with stock b18 ecu
Doing one in a 95 integra does ac bolt right up the same?
Good question, my b20 did not come with a ac bracket or compressor, so i bolted my ac bracket from my b18 into the b20.
@@MexicanGhost2013 did the ls compressor work?
@@BOOGEYMAN650 as long as you use the bracket, compresor, crank pulley and belt you can bolt it to the b20 no problem
@@MexicanGhost2013 thanks man I appreciate it!
So what did you do to make the b20 run better aftermarket fuel regulator or something right ?
Probably better to just buy the ecu that matches that engine
