Ann and Nancy catapulted beautiful women to rock stardom. Ann has a powerful voice since Grace Slick and Nancy plays the guitar so subtle but precise like her voice. Best female rock duo ever!
That is the definition of a singing voice. Taylor swift and all these new singers will never ever ever ever come close to singing like Ann Wilson EVER!
Such passion, such force. This is a tight band, with their act in gear, and with an fabulous singer. We all loved the music, but did we all ever really know that this was a force in music rarely ever to be seen? Did we realize how lucky we were? ...If I had a time machine! Ann is still amazing, but to see her back in the day... I want to be on aboard the ship of dreams.
Great the original lineup! Well it's 2024 March 24th and I still think the original lineup of heart is the best! I think Ann and Nancy Wilson are a package deal! Still in hopes they get back together! They have been my inspiration throughout most of my life! Love you Ann and Nancy forever!❤❤❤
Every time I hear Ann Wilson sing, I remember that she could be singing the names in a phone book and I'd be just as moved. She not only belongs, but IS among the greatest Rock vocalists/singers EVER.
This band is incredible!!!! I've been a huge fan from the beginning. It's nice to see footage any time one wants these days. Back in the 70's you were lucky to catch them on television once a year.
No one kicks ass like Heart. I mean no-one. They got the vocals, they got the melodies, the energy, and are one of the greatest musicians of all time. Their songs are amongst the most intriquate and entertaining.
One of the few bands that sounds better live then recorded, which cannot be said with any pop act these days. Ann is a goddess on earth, a muse incarnate, of the likes not seen since.
this was a wildly, weird & wonderful song-BUT NO MATTER,,,HEART IS ONE OF THE BEST! I was lucky enough to see them twice-[now that I'm Alot older,I would love to see them again...but this time I WILL BE SOBER & take it to HEART]
Ohhh yeah Ann unleashing her powerful melodic incredible Voice !!!!!! Such a beautiful and talented women !!!!! Doesnt get any better than Ann and Nancy!!!
As awesome as her voice is on this the band is just as amazing. The subtleties of all the background instruments are perfection on this video. For a live version this sounds like a remixed studio recording. It is amazing all the way around. Going on my favorites right now!
Amazing how good they sound in a time before "pitch perfect" and other effects now used in live shows. It really just doesn't get much better than this.
yeah they were unfortunately I grew up in that period and they were over shadowed by Fleetwood mac abit if not for stevie nicks they would have been much more popular
wonderful band, Ann has by far the best voice ever, Interesting to see them in concert a few years ago, Ann is a little chunky, but still pretty, but Nancy has gotten even better looking with age. And when she plays and dances around, man, makes your heart explode.
Here is the reason I have gone to see this band 4 times. I loved every single show and wouldn't have missed one for just about anything. Voice like a lead guitar, is the way my cousin who plays a screamin' Les Paul; white with all gold inlays and pickups, describes her.
"You think its so DAMN cooooool to be cold....you never realize the way love dies when you crucify it's soul" Excellent lyrics delivered by the Queen of Rock Ann Wilson!!! Ann and Nancy Wilson and HEART FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
@8484terry. Ann & Nancy are originally from California. They lived in various places about the world, 'till their father retired from the Marines, and settled in Bellevue WA. The band formed in Seattle.
WOW.....I am still in love with Ann! ...I saw Heart in Concert in Birmingham in 1978, I was 15 years old....I thought I would die just watching her all night....lol....still feel that watching now!...thanks for the vid.
Funny, if you listen closely in the chorus, you can hear Nancy trying to pull off this deep growl, which if you've ever heard her sing is so not her. I really like her when she comes into her own later in their career on songs like Stranded or more obscure tunes like Treat Me Well (beautiful song btw), It's so great to have these old vids so you can see the band evolve from the beginning. Ann and Nancy are wonderful, talented women, hope they keep making beautiful music.
see kids!!..back in my day we had to play live on tv!! lol!! Ann's voice just before the guitar solo and going out of the guitar solo is just fkn awesome!!!
I always liked heart. I've been playing guitar for years in various original bands and my wife and me are now playing in a Heart tribute band ( Kick It Out ). I didn't realize how good Roger and Howard were they really kick some butt, Nancy too!!! Ann is the queen of rock from the 70's and still !!!! YEA BABY!!!!!!
I heard them soundcheck this song yesterday at the Wis. State Fair, but I didn't see the show. Next time I'll see them when they come through town. Love this song and thanks for posting!!!
Ann and Nancy catapulted beautiful women to rock stardom. Ann has a powerful voice since Grace Slick and Nancy plays the guitar so subtle but precise like her voice. Best female rock duo ever!
Yes Anne's voice history of the most beautiful voice ever in rock and roll! Nancy is one of my favorite guitar players. She's very under rated!!❤❤
That is the definition of a singing voice. Taylor swift and all these new singers will never ever ever ever come close to singing like Ann Wilson EVER!
to be fair to Swift, there were darn few even then in Ann's class. Who else? Ronstadt, and......????
Pat benitar, Patty Smith, Grace slick, and the lady from the arithmetics
The singing, especially the harmonized parts, sound so badass that it's hard for me to believe it's live.
Ann Wilson was on FIRE during this song!
Even angels bow to Ann's heavenly voice when she sings.
Such passion, such force. This is a tight band, with their act in gear, and with an fabulous singer.

they were on TV last week. Think they did Barracuda. Going on tour this year.
Heart should be in the Hall of fame!
Every time I hear Ann Wilson sing, I remember that she could be singing the names in a phone book and I'd be just as moved.
She not only belongs, but IS among the greatest Rock vocalists/singers EVER.
One of the best Female voices in music history!
Best female rock vocalist ever. Period.
pat benatar is just as good and probably better in my opinion
bill seely
Pat is "almost" as good as Ann.
pat is no comparrison
On the strength of the guy at 1:20 in his brassiere top with moobs falling out, this is almost an "all female" band.
kevinindublin I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Always liked Heart's drummer from 1970s - very underrated. Had a good Bonham vibe. Groove, power, chops, etc...
Totally agreed! His drumming on Barracuda near the end of the song is great!
Michael Derosier is his name I believe.
This band is incredible!!!! I've been a huge fan from the beginning. It's nice to see footage any time one wants these days. Back in the 70's you were lucky to catch them on television once a year.
Heart was great back in the 70's...saw them several times and their music lives on today...great rock!!
Yes she is.
She lives next door to someone:)
First time I ever heard them it was WOW. I still go WOW today. Many many years later:P
What a great era for music. People were so lucky to witness live talent like this group. Im so glad we have this on film!
Loved listening to Heart in the back of my parents car as a kid. Ann Wilson’s voice was so damn powerful
Only the finest in men's bustiers for this bass player.
Trust me, if the performance weren't so awesome, you'd never get past it.
No one kicks ass like Heart. I mean no-one. They got the vocals, they got the melodies, the energy, and are one of the greatest musicians of all time. Their songs are amongst the most intriquate and entertaining.
Anne at her primal scream BEST.
One of the few bands that sounds better live then recorded, which cannot be said with any pop act these days.
Ann is a goddess on earth, a muse incarnate, of the likes not seen since.
God was really having two great days when he created Ann and Nancy Wilson.
Such a time to be alive, I wish I was 18 in the 70s
You are so right - Ann, Nancy and Chrissie....I love them all.
The best band ever, they were great live, they were the 1970's rock
this was a wildly, weird & wonderful song-BUT NO MATTER,,,HEART IS ONE OF THE BEST! I was lucky enough to see them twice-[now that I'm Alot older,I would love to see them again...but this time I WILL BE SOBER & take it to HEART]

Gorgeous Ann

Those pipes of Ann's....
Incredible singer, her voice is so solid.
We are Heart. ...and we just rocked your faces off.
they are amazing....what guts at this point in history and rock history to be so balls out and good....them and stevie nicks
keep on sinning in the name of ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!! heart at the top of their game!!!!
Ann was on top of her game that night. what a great stage presence
My earliest memory of Heart is Magic Man playing on the radio c. 1976.
Amazing how good they sound in a time before "pitch perfect" and other effects now used in live shows. It really just doesn't get much better than this.
Best female rock band ever.
Dawn Paoletta not really a female rock band.
I love it! He can say 'My eyes are up here!'
sooo much soul in ann's voice!
excellente song!! Anna Wilson the best female rock singer.
yeah they were unfortunately I grew up in that period and they were over shadowed by Fleetwood mac abit if not for stevie nicks they would have been much more popular
Beautiful Ann& Nancy......
OMG that voice gives me chills. Excellent band!
I agree, Heart should be in the rock and roll hall of Fame
Lady came to rock that night!
She surely Did ... 💖 💪
I've been listening to this band for 20 years and still can't get over Anns voice, HOLY CRAP! oh yeah, and smokin hot!
Hum, you missed it by about two generations, but 33 years later, Ann, Nancy and Chrissie Hynde are all still amazing musicians and beautiful women.
wonderful band, Ann has by far the best voice ever, Interesting to see them in concert a few years ago, Ann is a little chunky, but still pretty, but Nancy has gotten even better looking with age. And when she plays and dances around, man, makes your heart explode.

The best female voice in rock history !! period !!
Good ole days.
Good GOD! WHAT A VOICE!
Ann Wilson is a fierce rock and roller.....I've seen her live. Trust me, she's fantastic.
my gawd her voice....seen them in 76 when I was 16. have never heard a female singer like here in my life. still draws me in after all these years.
Ann...You have no idea how much I love you. My drum teacher Graham Lear loves Nancy.
unbelievable..a true rock&rollers...
"You think its so DAMN cooooool to be cold....you never realize the way love dies when you crucify it's soul" Excellent lyrics delivered by the Queen of Rock Ann Wilson!!! Ann and Nancy Wilson and HEART FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
THESE SISTERS ROCK!!!!
I certainly agree that Heart should be in the Hall ofFame
my favorite heart song, and the bass dudes clothes is super modern for that time, yeah
@8484terry. Ann & Nancy are originally from California. They lived in various places about the world, 'till their father retired from the Marines, and settled in Bellevue WA. The band formed in Seattle.
wowwww these girls rocks !! even today , they still do !
My god, Ann's tears the vocals up on this. Nice, have never seen it before. Thanks!
Ann was born to sing, she so hot back then too.
My absolute top number one favorite HEART tune! Pure Rock n Roll, lucious females to boot! MMMMMM!
WOW.....I am still in love with Ann! ...I saw Heart in Concert in Birmingham in 1978, I was 15 years old....I thought I would die just watching her all night....lol....still feel that watching now!...thanks for the vid.
Damn,Ann Wilson could really belt out a song with her killer voice! And she was pretty and sexy also. This is one of my favorite Heart songs.
Mike has mastered the three C's of drumming....stay Calm,Cool & Collected
It gave me chills.
She is great.
Her voice is so delicate when she speaks but when she starts singing, she is all hardcore!
Try to not worry about that stuff and just listen - it was a long time ago and they rocked it.
belo show...pena naum ter nascido na época.....
my favorite heart video
Excellent live performance. It is tough bringing it off live like this. Ann Nandy and Roger and Mike made it happen.
You forgot Howard. I think Howard Leese had a huge part in the sound that was Heart.
"....it just ain't FAIRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!" - Classic
see kids!!..back in my day we had to play live on tv!!
Hmph! What musicianship. Don't see much of this today.
...And lady's got some pipes, too.
A great show. Every performance is my favourite live version ! !
haunting classic lost track by heart!!!
The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame needs to get a grip. Heart Rules!
No more passionate (or strong) woman's voice in rock 'n roll, period.
their use of the synthesizer was like no other.....and the plinking guitar with it....
Nobody sounded like this before.Women now say Ann was a big influence but Ann started from scratch.Heart was a dynamic band in its early days.
Heart should have been on the Rock and Rool HOF a LONG time ago!!!
Heart was, is and will always be IT!
I heard them soundcheck this song yesterday at the Wis. State Fair, but I didn't see the show. Next time I'll see them when they come through town. Love this song and thanks for posting!!!
Great song by a great band
they will get in no matter what!!
thanks for posting the beginnings of rock goddess ann who has been reigning as such now for over 3 decades!

It's cool to see them, at the time just had Hit Parader and Creem magazines with them.

The ultimate Band in their Prime.Period!!
That's a killer dress Ann has on!

1977, Freedom Hall. My first concert. Heart!
