There would be nothing stopping me, from running into the vocal booth, and giving Ann a hug, and a shoulder to cry on. I saw Heart last night in Mountain View, at the Shoreline. Ann, and Nancy are ageless, Heart has made a mark in this world, for all to see, and for eternity!
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this clip. Some here may have seen my posts about Ann and how so very much I adore her not only on her physical beauty, but how intriguing I find her personality. She captures me in a way that I cannot begin to describe. She is 35 in this clip, my favorite time in Heart history. 1985 was such a great second beginning for them. I love how vulnerable she appears here, I wish I was the lucky one to console her.
chryslercorners Totally agree...she just got married by the way...She takes me away from the planet at times...like the song "Sweet Darlin'" ..(which Im pretty sure she wrote for me)...LOL...I had a bunch more to post and had a computer CRASH AND LOST ANOTHER 60GIGS of these...just makes this one more valuable ...will try to get them off the tape AGAIN soon...
Its been a LONG HAUL being busy on the road after LOSING 50gigs of HEART VIDEO from these sessions. But I RE-CAPTURED alot of it tonight. THIS WEEK I should be posting some!
I read her memoir a few months back, and I think this was because of that douche who slept with her and called a radio station the next day. But Good God, when she tried to sing, even with her sinuses clogged and her vocal cords strained, she was legend! And really? Was there a producer on the other end of that giving her garbage? Ann was entirely too nice. That conversation should have ended with a two-finger salute.
I have this video too! I always thought they were asking her to call Nancy to fill in since Ann wasn't feeling it, and they didn't want to miss any valuable studio time. There's a whole lot more footage on the tape I have; she mentions having taken too much coke as well.
oh my goodness my heart breaks watching this she is so vulnerable and hurt. ..but her voice and spirit is so wonderful...who is that guy? I hope he apologized!
Considering the song itself is about someone special and the possibility of it turning into something wonderful, yet Ann was dealing with an emotional betrayal, who can blame her for not being able to tune that out to sing. Would probably been a lot different if she was to record "If Looks Could Kill" at that particular time instead.
I can understand the point of view of PurpleGhost as we live in this reality TV/all access, media saturated world now with ironically very little information with which to comprehend context. As a result, all you hear is ridicule much of the time with all these uneducated fools weighing in on somebody else's life. That said, I find this video adheres me even more to my hero, Ann Wilson! She is an artist in the purest sense. While a consummate professional, she must deliver a song from a place where it lives within her and her alone. Isn't that EXACTLY what we love about her? Everything about her is truth with no pretense. This clip makes all of us know why this woman and these records are so iconic.
HEART FANS! I'm sorry new Vids from this session has not been posted yet. I had ALL OF IT captured 30GIGS on my computer and had a crash. No time to recapture the vids. Playing live music with my band. Not home much.
+WyldeMagiK i hope u will have some spare time to upload it to yt because these footages u have they re gems so i hope you could upload these videos or at least ann sings alone :)

@WyldeMagiK PLEASE make redundant backups of these! And keep them with you, not on some cloud server. These tapes are incredible, they've really gotten to me. Once you get these secured best you can, have you considered reaching out to Ann and Nancy?
+Ted Bragg I FINALLY have them backed up. The video was so WEAK, I had to literally run them THRU another tv's rca ins/outs to even get them to capture. Been worried about these videos for years. Finally done.

When Ann's not destroying mics with her pipes, she is VERY quiet and reserved.
That was the first song that draw me to Heart! From that song on, they became my favourite band ever!

chryslercorners Ann turned 35 June 1985 so she was 34 when this was filmed in the studio.
This is really some beautiful stuff. Please post full versions,
Iove it. What a great artist indeed!

I't's notable how demure and gentle Ann Wilson appears off the stage but onstage was like some witch with magical powers..

I think that was about 3-4 years earlier. The BeBe La Strange Tour, after she broke up with Mike Fisher.
I love it, I love her.

Would be more than awesome to have more HEART FANS SUBSCIBE and also check my music out cdbaby.com/artist/araymaddy
This is really cool footage. Horrible song, but worth watching for the rarity. Thanks for posting.
