God speaks and angels singing when Pierre bensusan plays his guitar. The one and only no. 1 best acoustic guitarist in the world. He will never claim or say that. He’s kindness and humility shines to everynote and music he writes. Forever written in people’s hearts and mind the beauty of life. Thank you Pierre !!!!!!!!
A friend of mine- a superb guitarist- played "Le Voyage Pour Irlande" for me on my guitar during one of my show breaks in 1994. It was a complete, earth-shaking epiphany for me to hear Pierre's music and especially DADGAD guitar. Two years later, in 1996, I released a CD of 11 compositions- six of which were in DADGAD tuning. In 2000, one of the tunes from that CD found its way to a DADGAD artist compilation songbook/CD (now sadly OOP) hosted by Pierre that included compositions by Laurence Juber, Phil Keaggy, Doug Smith, Adrian Legg and others. It was truly life-changing for me as a guitarist to hear Pierre Bensusan. The man remains the most musical and uniquely expressive acoustic guitarist on earth . . . THANK YOU, PIERRE . . .
Pierre Bensusan is one of those rare musicians where you notice the power of his music even more.....when he stops playing. When the song is over, you can feel the tide rolling back into the sea.
Pierre's music saw me through 4 years of college when I used to tune out the outside world to his masterpieces while spending endless days and nights at the university's library studying my heart out. Thank you Pierre! I owe a big part of my higher education to you. The only thing I hate about Pierre's playing, is how worthless it makes me feel when I pick-up my guitar. Totally demotivating!
Hard to Imagine so much music coming from two Hands , Six Strings and one Guitar ! Beautiful sounds from one talented person. I can see why Mike Dawes is so inspired by Pierre Bensusan !
Who are the people that dislike the videos of great musicians? Are they trolls just getting off on spreading negativity? This is transcendent music of another realm beyond human. I think it is pure genius, pure beauty.
how privileged I've been to see Pierre playing this same guitar at the Vancouver Folk Festival during his earlier career years!!!!! he was already outstanding then.... such special sound!!
I read an article where Pierre explained how he had to get used to his signature model, with the smaller body and the Sitka top. It sounded harsher and less warm than his “old lady” and he actually had to adapt his playing to get out of it what he wanted…. It looks like he actually never really got used to that guitar. This new version of the old lady has the same specs with some adaptations, like the beveled armrest and original cutaway. (It was added to the old lady later on, as well as a neck change!) His latest album was recorded on the old lady btw, but for concerts it looks like he’s mostly taking this one.
@@acousticsong-guitarco964 Hi, and does this new one have a spruce top as it dont look ceder from where im looking!? What about the nut width or can one specify that from Lowden? thanks.
That was beautiful! Pierre normally annoys me because he fluffs notes when he buries his head on the guitar body, or shakes it, or tries something new mid performance. This was so bad that I'd stopped listening to him. HOWEVER, this was a beautiful performance and has renewed my interest in him again. Thank you.

I am very happy to live in the world with Pierre.

If a mere mortal could become one with his instrument of music, it's surely Pierre Bensusan. The man is a living prodigy.
He inroduced me to DADGAD tuning in his guitar summer camp in france.
I still love to play celtic folkmusic.

Magnifique... You dont have to be a shredder, beauty arrangement is all about..
what magnificence is this...
Incredible performance Pierre. You are a guitar master
That is just a flat amazing performance! He takes the original piece and just adds just a little bit, like a perfect cherry on top of a sundae!
There are many great guitarists but Pierre is sure one of them. He has a very distinct style which I love. A great man!
No one else plays guitar like him, a style all of his own
You are right, it's a strange but beautiful style.
Pierre is not a guitar player. He's a guitar orchestrator.
Pierre is just a poet! The most natural and fluent tune from a guitar.
Bellissima esecuzione.
Ho ascoltato live due sere fa, splendido concerto, come sempre molto espressivo.
How much musicality. You can feel the music with Pierre. Very beautiful!

@Sterling Pound Paco de Lucia is dead, right? Okay then, greatest living guitarist and writer of guitar music*. Stay mad about it.
Because they have low blood sugar levels.
Who cares. Some people just don’t have ears
Beautiful tune and playing 👌
Beautifully played guitar. A genius.
My first song of his was 4am
It has been in my top 10 quiet moment songs since.
All of your music works so well at a romantic fireplace.
25% hilarious, 100% incredible.

Actually, that smaller signature model took a couple years to warm up. I love it and pay it a lot now :)
Absolutely beautiful. Pierre Bensusan is one of the earth's great musical treasures.
Excellente!
