I did FOH sound for Mr. Bensusan some years back for one night. You might think 'how hard can it be to mic up a single acoustic guitar?' - couple of mics, pan 'em slightly stereo - voilà! Nope. There were 2 mic feeds and (I believe) 3 separate feeds coming from internal and piezo pickups, all being fed back into his monitors. He was *very* exacting about how he wanted his guitar to sound and the balance between all the feeds. Interesting night, for sure. And yes - his guitar sounds as good acoustically as you would imagine...
If there ever was guitarist that can make you feel and think and be glad for being alive. And find you're own voice inside you're heart. "It's Pierre bensusan"
Probably the most magical fifteen minutes of my life was when I got to play a Lowden Pierre Bensusan Signature. I wish I could have taken it home with me.
My whole soul tingles with delight when I hear Pierre Bensusan play. Not only is he a true musician pouring his heart out with the passion and exquisite craftsmanship of a true master, a true craft not easily obtained but one that had to be fought for with years of genuine devotion and love of the instrument and it's voice. Would I be too presumptuous to say that Pierre is not only a master guitarist, musician and composer but the very soul and voice of Lowden guitars. When he plays that guitar it is like he is releasing the magic that was crafted into the instrument by an enchanted luthier.
First saw him in 1985 at a guitar festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Leo Kottke was there too, and considered Pierre the highlight of the gathering . Listening to him play here, I’m thinking that if the angels played guitars, they would sound like this .
Saw him live in the early 90s and he was great. I hadn't the money to buy one of his CDs but he gave me one for free. Very kind and lovely Man

His lyricism is just astonishing! What a touch he has...
J'adore 🎵🎶. 🖤 Pierre. Love your music.
This might be the most beautifully composed acoustic guitar piece I've ever heard....
Everyone else who's a famous guitarist now plays guitar. This guy plays music.
Every time I listen to you Pierre I feel in a state of deep well-being, I am not exaggerating.
His music is really touching my soul. I'm coming back to this piece not the first time... and not the last one for sure.
That's why we adore Pierre...
Truly a passionate, emotive, and understatedly powerful player. Simply brilliant.
Maestro.

What model is this one? I know he has released a Lowden under his name, but in what class would this guitar be? 35, 38, 50...?
This is the "Old Lady" Signature model
寄居血肉躯壳的灵魂,孤独的过客
He has an unripe bareness that's only seen in an anagram of his name.
