Nasty Sounding IROC Camaro 2015 Car Craft Summer Nationals

- I ran across this IROC Camaro at the 2015 Car Craft Summer Nationals....It's not going to win any awards for fit and finish....But it sounds as good as any street car I have heard....Very cool...Check it out!!!...Visit www.scottiedtv.... for more cool stuff!!
I had an 1984, that looked the same as this. Best car I ever had, over Fords, Cadillacs, Toyotas, Hondas and others more.

My first car was an '87 IROC (3rd brake light in the spoiler, script towards the front of the doors). Bought that car as a gas station attendant and still have it. This is just glorious on what I think are 18" Advan RG3 wheels with a mini tub? Whoever built this and kept it underbuilt looking gets the aura of the 3rd gens with good enough paint and costly speed parts like it was when they were cheap and plentiful in the early 2000's. I think the first real "LS1 swap" was into a 3rd gen. They had to omit the A/C and build engine mounts, but I remember it was in a 'Reader's Rides' section of HRM or Car Craft way before the internet got everywhere.

@@ScottieDTV I hope you track this car down again, I am working on an '86 that is almost identical but with a SBC that has a wiped out cam lobe (going roller) and a T56 swap from an LT1 4th gen. If it didn't have a bunch of money thrown at the engine I'd smack one of my LQ's in it and do the RSG input shaft conversion. Thanks for what you do, it is inspirational when some of us run out of ambition and the simple projects look big for a moment.

OMG Scottie!!! You did good here brutha lol. This just might be the sweetest looking IROC-Z I have ever seen. The suspension setup and wheel fitment and choice is superb!!! After I sell my 5.0 Mustang I am finding a 3rd Gen again!

dam i miss my iroc. it was an 89, same year i was born. i got it when i was 15 and made it a mustang killer. i sold it two years ago to a dumb fuck that ended up wrapping it around a tree and killed himself. he sold the original iroc wheels and put 20s on it before he wrecked as well

They always ruin it with the 20" plus rims dont they. On a side note, those cars are death traps but sure are fun to drive.
Dirk Bravo. ha yea they were because no airbags and the passenger side dash came out into a sharp point right at eye level. we called it the death dash. now i have a s10 on iroc replica wheels im working on

I’ve got a ct400 circle track crate str8 piped in my 3rd gen and it don’t sound like that. My brothers built ls1 in his 3rd gen sounds similar but that thing sounds fucking mean. Great car who ever the owner is 👍🏾👍🏾

That's one sweet looking and sounding I.R.O.C Scottie! Looks to be an LS6 engine under the hood. I had a Black 88 the was very similar to that one. I sure miss it.

+ScottieDTV LSX/R is the model of intake on the LS engine made by FAST. You can fit that on a variety of LS engines.

Judging from the tai lights it's a 1985 CAMARO IROC, I had a 1986 and my tail lights were different. Nasty is a great way to describe that car nice find.
HARMARSCH2 did you see the 3rd brake in the spoiler that means it is a 87 to 90 iroc-z o and the 86 had the same tail lights as the 85 iroc-z and the 87 88 89 90
Yes, I saw the third brake light in the rear spoiler. The tail lights in my 86 IROC were different than the car in the video. I should know what my car's tail lights looked like.

***** fox bodies are alot more desirable. Power to weight honestly sucked. The 305 was weak and heavier compared to the equivalent fox 302
