I saw this in our Fred Meyer ad. Wish I had thought of only purchasing a monthly membership. Brilliant!
I wanted to test it for you all to see if it would work. 😁 There is still time if you want to grab a Boost membership before the sale ends! 😉 I am curious if this will be a monthly thing or a yearly thing. I am guessing yearly but it was really nice while it happened!
I would of joined also. What amazing deals. Happy you managed to get all those great deals. Thank you for sharing with us.
Glad to hear you would have done the samw, Chantal! 😊 Thanks for watching!
Amazing deals I don’t know if I’m going out tomorrow (4x fuel points ) with the storm, I may have to get the monthly boost I too like going in store and seeing what I can find. I have found so much going in early morning and seeing the markdowns.
Stay safe with the storm coming! Even though I like going into the store, I can see how it would be handy for delivery - especially when there are storms and the like!
Haven't gotten there yet. Hopefully they will have restocked.😊
Yes!!! Here's hoping indeed!
Yes! Might just join Boost 1 month too. Our Boost deals are the same as yours but our reg Smiths sales/deals are chuck roast $3.27lb(so excited) 5# potatoes $1.47 grapes $.87 lb and cheese 2# 4.99lb also. Stocking up especially on chuck roast and cheese.
What?!?! That is an incredible price on Chuck roast! 😲 And love that your potatoes and grapes are even cheaper! Have fun stocking up on all the good deals. It was definitely worth it for me to join Boost this month. We'll see how long I stay a member, but for now, I am enjoying it!
I’m trying to eat Whole30, so the Boost deals don’t really make sense for me (other than the good price on carrots.) But I was excited to see that my Kettle and Fire bone broth is part of the “buy 5” sale. And we have spare ribs for .99 a pound…which does fit on my eating plan!
Having done the Whole 30 myself, you are definite right. Good luck completing your challenge. It takes a lot of prep but the results are good, and I am glad I did it when I did.
I actually joined today. I have a 30-day trial period for free. It's definitely worth it for me.
Yay! After reading all about the Boost program, I wasn't sure if the coupons would apply under a free membership so you'll have to let me know how it goes!
@@joyfullythriving it worked with the free trial :)
I picked up my grocery order and it worked for me. 😊
Yay! So good to know the free trial worked for those coupons too! Yay, yay, yay!
I live in Metro Detroit and I signed up for Boost last month. I grabbed most items and even first thing this morning, there wasn't much flour or sugar but I got them. Not sure if I will keep Boost but I've had a Plus card for years and I always use it for gas but I rarely shop at Kroger. I've been running in the last few weeks for the loss leaders so more savings and more gas points just from watching your videos.
So glad my videos have been helping you! And yes, the boat is still out as to whether I will keep my Boost membership either. We shall see! Glad you were able to get some flour and sugar - and more fuel points! 🙌
I saw this video and signed up and saved $91 !! And was only $1.50 over budget. Thanks so much for your videos, they really help
That is awesome! Well done! 👏👏👏 So happy these videos are helping you! 🥰
Have you compared these prices to Aldi to get another perspective on how much you saved? No Kroger here . My parents gave me plastic grocery sacks since we primarily shop at Aldi.
Good idea! I know I saved a lot as sugar is over $3 at our Aldi now and flour is over $2.50. Sigh. And chips are over $2 there as well. I will have to see if I can do a better breakdown video sometime soon comparing Kroger sales to Aldi every day prices!
How are sugar and flour prices at Sam's? We rarely shop at hyvee, just a couple of times a year if they have an exceptional sale but I never regard how much the receipt says I saved because they're every day prices are ridiculous.
There is NO comparison to Aldi this week! Eggs at our Aldi are over $4/doz for 18 eggs at Kroger for $1.99! Same with flour, sugar, spaghetti sauce ($1.89 @ Aldi), etc. There's nothing reason to compare!!! This is a no-brainer for Kroger this week!
Sally, it doesn't appear that you understood my intent. If Aldi sells a product regularly for less than Kroger regular price than I would count Kroger sale price difference between Aldi price to calculate savings. If I buy 'product A' at generally high store, I don't care how much they say I saved . their regular price is higher than I'd ever pay.
@@kdonor Sam's Club sugar is $7.28 for 10lbs ($0.72 a pound) and flour is $9.98 for 25 pounds ($0.40 a pound).
One update to everyone regarding grocery pricing. Most of the larger grocery stores are currently experimenting with "dynamic pricing," particularly for perishables like produce. This is too long to explain here, but in short it means using electronic labeling and changing prices even throughout the day as well as offering different prices to different consumers depending on their shopping habits and time(s) they are in the store. It is designed to move product and also prevent food waste for perishables, but the downside is that a price that one person gets in a store may not be the same price another person pays on the same day. We'll see if that actually works, or if customers become turned off when prices vary between customers in the same shopping week b/c they are used to the "deal" price being the same for everyone using the same apps and digital coupons for that particular number of days.
Interesting. I hadn't heard about this.
If I still had kids at home, and not just hubby and me, I'd do the Boost thing also!!! We had all the same deals as you this week -- EXCEPT for the eggs. No deals on eggs here.... I think it's because we have new rules about the hens needing to be "cage-free" that our eggs are so expensive now.
Ohhhh. Interesting. Someone else said they didn't have the egg deal either. That is a disappointment. And yes, I get it! Shopping for 2 looks different than shopping for a family! 👍
Yes, you did get your $7.99 back !! Great deals !!
Yes! Thank you! It was quite exciting! 😁
The "customer appreciation week" Boost deals were very, very good. They aren't always that phenomenal. The pasta & sauce were part of a deal where you get that price if you but 10-20 items in the mix and match category. I don't shop there for the fuel points, and wish they would adopt Safeway/Albertson's model of redeeming the points for products.
Ohhhh I would be on board with redeeming fuel points for groceries! I like the fuel points but would really like free groceries more! 😁
Thanks so much for this eye opener, especially about the Boost savings!
You are so welcome! It shocked me as well - in a good way, because I will take whatever savings I can get! Just got a free Boost coupon for 6 free glazed donuts. Lily will love that!
Having a really rough day gf great vlog and prices I'm so excited for you to be able stock up have a blessed weekend 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much. Praying your day and week turns around!
I ran into Kroger on Wednesday afternoon for 5 containers of the eggs. I am sure they will sellout and I didn't want to mess with a rain check. I did think about getting the membership for the deals, but since I didnt want to grocery shop today, I didn't mess with it. Any idea if I can send my grocery order to an address that is not my house?
Yay! So glad you got the eggs. We had soo many at our Kroger too! As for delivery, I would think you could enter a different address - if that is the address you always want to use. BUT I don't know for sure. You enter the address when you are signing up for the membership so you could try there and see what happens.
I am do jealous because I live on the east coast outside of a metro area. Forget about deals. Coupons on milk? Unheard of! We have nowhere near the deals you have.
Aww. I know! The dairy deals of milk, eggs and cheese seems to be a Midwest things. We are very spoiled. I wish I could share the deals with you!
That was amazing !!!! Great job ! God bless !
Thank you so much! ❤️
I do not have a Kroger where I live😢 but if I did I would consider doing boost God Bless You ❤
Thanks for watching so faithfully, Rita, even though you don't have a Kroger! You are a blessing to me! ❤️
I forgot to get the cheese. Do you know how long it is on sale? Yes, I've been with boost for over a year (one time fee) and have mostly liked it.
The cheese is on sale through Tuesday. Good to know that you have been a Boost member and liked it too! 👍
It might be worth you keeping the boost membership.
I am debating about it if I am going to keep it or turn it into a yearly membership. Trying to decide if it is worth it for me!
Wow! Those were some great deals. You are incredible!
Thanks so much!! I love a good deal. Can you tell? 😂
Do you have to do delivery with Boost? We live in an area noone does delivery to.
Nope! I picked up in store as usual. Delivery is a perk if you want it.
I just signed up for the boost deals! I get to try boost for 30 days too so I didn't have to pay for it yet and can cancel if I want. Thanks for the info 😊
Also wow, those boost deals are amazing!!! 🤩
Right?! You should definitely join for a month too, Rebekah!
I’m so excited! We don’t have a Kroger close to us ,but we have a chain of stores called Gerbes. It’s in the same town that Sam’s club is so we can visit both at the same time. I joined the boost today and did the free trail. They carry the Kroger brand. I clipped those coupons and I’m going tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.
Wowza!! Those deals are awesome! I never heard about boost, thanks for mentioning it and the breakdown!
How do you store your potatoes so they don't spoil??
Thanks for the info
You bet! 👍
How do you sign up for boist
There is an option on the app or on the website where it says "Boost Membership". Click there and follow the prompts! It's on the hamburger type drop down menu.
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I am boost member last July Krogers ran a promotion for getting boost membership for half off ($29.95 for a year). I havent had anything delivered yet I like going in the store to get my groceries, however, I live in Michigan and winters can get very intense here so I know I will be using the delivery often. Today I went to get my boost groceries wow what a savings on sugar, salsa, carrots and flour. I noticed the shelves were getting empty. I bet everyone is stocking up. All I can say Thank you Krogers for your savings!!!
I would join
🙌🙌🙌
I don't have the Kroger Boost (yet), but I do have the Walmart + and Sams Plus memberships which gives prices that are different than in the stores in my area, also with free delivery. In addition, the Walmart + membership has free TV streaming to two different services and fuel deductions. We do have a Kroger, so I am thinking about adding this. The difference for us is that we are only 2, so we don't need near the amount of food that a family would eat.
How you make the uncrustables
Any special way you make them?
Thanks! I shop Kroger too!
Well worth it for this one sale. Is is by month 7.99. Will it end Oct 1
Yes, the Boost membership is for 30 days from whenever you sign up for the month.
Ty
In our region we didn't get the egg sale ...I am so bummed. But there were other good deals in our area. I love a good deal😊
What?!?! No egg sale? 😩 Bummer. I am sorry! Glad you took full advantage of the other good deals though! 🙌
You will cringe when I tell you what my Ralphs(Kroger)/Los Angeles county store Ad showed on DIGITAL for 18ct Kroger cage free Eggs? $4.49!!!!!!!!!!!! I had been excited since seeing ad preview from GA last Sunday that their price was 1.99 😊 I was thinking it will be typically .49 higher to purchase in CA and freeze for my holiday baking, but then 2.50 higher? 😢 I did pick up digitals on Haagen Daz @ 2.99 and Softsoap hand soap @ .99 😊
Thanks for sharing about Boost. I will have to check into this since I missed out on those bags of share M&Ms for all of my grandkids 😮 Oh, at my Ralphs I do see cars waiting in special parking spots where their purchases are brought out to them, would that include Boost? So not going inside the store and picking up the items yourself and getting that price at the self check out in a Boost membership?
I got almost the same, minus the m&m’s. This was such a good deal this week!
Yay! So glad you were able to stock up on all the Boost deals too! 🙌 Such a great sales week!
@@joyfullythriving have you ever had any problems using the coupon multiple times but in separate transactions? I had a problem a couple of times and was wondering why even thought it states up to five in a single transaction.
That's because it is a single use coupon. You can use the coupon one time to buy 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 times but after you use the coupon once, you can't use it again. That is what it means by 5x in a single transaction. Does that make sense?
@@joyfullythriving yes, thank you
My potatoes always go bad before I can use them all up if I buy more than one bag. How do you store yours?
We cut them up, blanch them for five minutes, drain them, put in ice cold water a few minutes, put on tray to freeze them, pat them dry and put in the freezer. Then we throw them in a bowl with very little amount of olive oil, throw in spices, and air fry them. So good.
My method is simple. Take them out of the plastic bags (this is key) and dry them out for a couple hours or overnight. Then put them in a cardboard box and line with newspaper in between layers. Store in a dark place until ready to use. My potatoes last a couple months this way...but with the way my girls eat baked potatoes, we will use them before then! 😂
I followed your layering tip last year one time and I still have a good bit of them go bad. I don't remember setting them out to dry though, so maybe I missed that step when you explained it in a video.
@@heatherduling197 I don't always do it but it's a good extra percaution, especially if some of your bags seem to have moisture in them. The last bags I got from Meijer definitely did and my potatoes didn't last quite as long. We still ate them all, but I reminded me that drying out is an important step for me now.
Great deals! Where do you go to see the boost only coupons?
Once you sign up for Boost, the coupons should appear in your app within a couple hours - if not right away. You may have to log out and log back in. If you are already a Boost member, scroll through the coupons and mine where mixed in with the others.
They were all together in a section of the weekly ad.
Yes! You can find them together in a section of the ad, or if you are looking to clip them, the coupons will be mixed in with the digital coupons. You can search for the specific deal, say sugar or flour, if you are trying to quickly clip the coupons.
INCREDIBLE DEALS! THANK YOU, I'M GIDDY WITH EXCITEMENT! I'm going to stock up for sure! Its potato soup season too! Thanks again!🎉😊 Shared ro my FB page! ❤
Yay!!! I am so glad I am not the only one giddy over the deals this week! 🥰🙌🥳 Have fun stocking up and taking full advantage of the amazing sales! 👏
I’m going to check into boost. Thank you for sharing. I never looked into it before.
You are so welcome! I thought it was a good opportunity this month!
Thank you so much for the boost membership idea. I just signed up for it was definitely worth it. I’m going tomorrow and stocking up.
Yay! Have fun stocking up! 🙌
You were definitely beaming with excitement! I must say that I’m jealous because there’s no Kroger near me but I’m happy that you got these savings for your family. Most grocery stores have their perks. My Giant Eagle has walnuts for $2.49 per pound and I have a $1 digital coupon on one pound so that’s my deal this week! They also have fuel perks too. Yes, I get excited over grocery deals too!
It's so nice to have others who get the excitement of a good grocery deal! 🥰 $1.49lb walnuts is an amazing price! And yay for fuel rewards there too. I agree that every grocery store has their perks, and am thankful for that!
I wish I had a Kroger. Maybe I will share this with HEB and show what deals other areas of the country are getting.🙂
I wish you did too! Kroger's deals are pretty amazing!
You are positively giddy!!!!!! Its so great to snag deals like that. Mine deals of the week were good but nothing like yours:
Purdue chicken nuggets and short cuts bogo free
Baby carrots .69
Chili beans .99 a can
Red gold tomato .99 a can
Manwich sauce .99 a can
Best deal organic broccoli .99 a pound
You know me...I do love a good deal! 😂🥰 And you for BOGO deals on meat. That is always a win!
I did the $59 one year membership. The fuel points really add up and I work 30 minutes from my house. Also free pickup even it’s a small order (stops impulse buying) is worth it for me. A couple months ago there was a ton of free items for Boost members. Free $8.99 Kroger Trail Mix was one.
Yay! Fuel points definitely add up and yes, the free pick up and delivery is a great way to limit impulse buys! Good to know about random free coupons too. I am still debating it I convert to a yearly or not...
You saved a fantastic amount of money! Since we don’t have Krogers I’m definitely living vicariously through you, I’m excited you were able to get such wonderful deals! It will be interesting to see what next months deals are🙂
Happy to let you live vicariously through all my deals anytime! 🥰😂 And yes, I am very curious about next months deals. October is generally a lull before the good sales of November and December but we shall see what happens!
Before you know every store will have a membership to get the loss leaders. I refuse to even shop at Kroger this week at all. It’s not a good thing in the long run.
Personally, I think that is a long way off. I think too many people would rebel and shop elsewhere...but I guess we shall see.
Thank you for another great video! They are always so helpful
Do you have a video or blog post of the meals that you like to cycle through? And also what kind of lunches does your family enjoy on the weekends when you're all together at home
I need to make a video about our easy budget friendly meals. We don't eat fancy but with 4 youngish kids, it works for us. Saturday lunches if often mac and cheese or sandwiches or leftovers. I will plan a Saturday meal, and our bigger Sunday meal is lunch. Sunday dinner is relaxed. It used to always be popcorn until 2 of our kids got braces / expander so now Sunday dinner is often nachos or charcuterie. I will try to get a video up in the coning month or two. But for now, many of our favorite recipes are on my blog in the recipe archives found here - joyfullythriving.com/category/food/
I joined boost for the sale🎉
Woohoo! Totally worth it, in my humble frugal opinion! 😁
Great deals, I'd be excited too. I always love a good deal.
The best! It really made my day! 😂🥳🥰
I would not have room for all that food great prices
I made room at these prices! 😁😂🥳
Great haul! I hope to get most of these deals too!
Yay! I hope.you can get them too! Sooo many good deals this week! 🥰
Michigan Krogers have a 30-day free trail for the Boost membership. 99¢ sugar and flour is definitely worth a free trail!
The free trial does not work on coupons, at least it didn’t for me. It says in the questions. From their website: Your benefits include free delivery and 2x Fuel Points during the free trial. Exclusive Boost coupons will be available for members only after their free trial.
You will have to let me know if it works, but from what I read, the coupons don't apply during a free trial which was why I went ahead and paid to make sure I could use the coupons.
Yes! That was what I was seeing too. Thanks for chiming in!
Yes❤
❤️❤️❤️
I did the same thing. I found a 30 day free trial!
Did it give you the coupons??? From what I read, it said free coupons wouldn't be available during a free trial so I didn't want to risk it.
Yes! I tested it on the sugar before I went all out! I knew the sugar would sell out fast!
@@meghancoonce1330 That is good to know! Thanks, Meghan, and yay! You really are saving this week! 😍
I wish i had a kroger or and aldi im in canada and dont have any of them
Their deals are pretty exciting! Maybe Aldi will make it's way across the border sometime soon!
Me too
My sister in law come across the border for Aldi cream cheese.
Wow, I can't wait to go ,,ty ❤❤❤❤
Yay! Have fun shopping!
I continue to be amazed at your grocery prices. Ours are at least double.
It is definitely one of the Midwest perks for sure.
