We have to take a minute to applaud actor Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) at his convincing performance of playing an evil child. Jack Gleeson has people cheering over the painful death of a teenager.
He is world class!!
Gleeson was so convincing as Joffrey that he quit acting for several years because he worried audiences would only see him as the hated Joffrey.
He quit "acting" (he went back to the theater stage), because at least during that time in life he loved playing different rolls, and he had to play Joffrey for such a long time, so he lost the love for his work at that time. So he went back to doing what he loved, acting in theater. The risk for typecasting can't have made it better in such a case.
You know he’s really well written/good actor when ppl actually smile and cheer when a child is poisoned
The ladies theorizing, just as Tywin said to Arya in Harrenhal..... SMART!
"Where's the poison?" "I wish HE could be in the Red Wedding"....
Ladies, sometimes dreams do come true.
This was fabulous fabulous reaction viewing. "is this real?" "is this actually happening?"
How you (Stefani) managed not to burst into giggles I have no idea, well done you!
This was a dull affair by Dothraki standards
Haha! Certainly!
I yelled YES at the screen when Lindsay mentioned having a family tree.
I've always felt that Brienne's best response to Cersei's comment about loving Jaime: "Like a brother"... 😜
Cersei : *visible confusion*
lol at "Ding dong the king is dead. Which old king? The Joffrey king."
Joffery destroying the histories book might've been the most tragic thing in this episode as a book lover lmfao. Like, do you know how long it would've taken to make a book like that!? Everything was hand written and hand drawn.
Not to mention bound by hand!!
On the assumption that you haven’t seen future episodes, you’ll never see the perp poison the cup. But you will see the perp obtain the poison. However, the moves were so smooth it’s easy to miss, even if you know who the perp is.
Illyn Payne trains Jamie in the book. But his actor was diagnosed with cancer, so Bronn stepped in. Fortunately he recovered. He did pass away in 2022 at age 75.
Jaime. There is no Jamie in the books.
@@ddfelix4829you know what he meant
@@randycrawford1132 I do. In fairness, I guess the names of the characters are spelled out in the show.... so that non-reading viewers would not know the spelling. I'm just keeping the information straight.
Yeah but they wanted to be smug
@@randycrawford1132 It was so nice of Tyrone to help his brother like that.
Only Game of Thrones could have a frightened teenager dying in his mother's arms and elicit cheers and wooping.
If the assassin had any possible second thoughts during the wedding, Joffrey most certainly assuaged them.
No kidding!!
Tyrion and Jaime actually always had a good relationship despite him being a dwarf
That's a weird way to write that Jaime has a normal, healthy relationship with his sibling.
Whenever they're together Tyrion is always happy.
And dopey, and sneezy and bashful etc.
@@jawbone78 got to be more specific considering his relationship with his other sibling.
@@jawbone78 in fairness. The main reason everyone hates him is specifically because he's a dwarf. His hijinks are pretty tame in the grand scheme of things. The only reason he's so infamous is because he's a dwarf who refuses to be cowed by the ire of the world. And so they take it out on him that much more harshly. Cersei hates him because he "killed" their mother AND is a dwarf. In some sense, his existence is insult to injury in her eyes. A normal sibling she might not have hated. But to lose her mother for the sake of a dwarf is cruel irony to her. So yeah, Jamie has a normal relationship with him. But it's entirely accurate to say that it is IN SPITE of his being a dwarf.
I've never seen any reactors to this show catch on quite so quickly. 2 smart cookies here
I laugh SO MUCH at your face when she said "where's the poison?"
LMAO!!!
I was dying inside!!
Ashley's face during the intro was everything , from complete shock to pure joy 🤣
"The Hunt" - Ramsey and Miranda were hunting the girl that was helping to tease Theon before Ramsey......
Stef, the eyebrow raise and perptual game face at the end was a master class.
Why is Tyrion helping Jamie?? Because he loves his brother. Lol
I know, right? Why would this even be a question?
You've come a long way from sweet summer children, to cheering for a kid's murder. I love GOT!
You take the good
You take the bad
You take them both and there you have
The Game of Thrones
you had me waiting on Tootsie and Blair...
Woo another GoT video with you three! ❤️
Roose Bolton has a terrifying presence about him, almost like Tywin!
Let’s just say though, Joffrey’s actor did a fantastic job of making us hate him. RIP to the worst King, Joffrey
LETS GOO THE PURPLE WEDDING EPISODE
😈😈😈
11:34 Oh man. Ashley is trying to keep in her snarky frustration XD Poor Lindsay. She just forgets sometimes.
Ramsay + Miranda, one of the best assorted couples ever ❤
"Someone tried to kill him?"
No. Do or do not. There is no try.
It was the butler... at the wedding... with a candlestick...
*necklace
Rest in pieces, Joffrey. U will never be missed. 🔥
A family tree/chart is a great idea!
Yes, just have to be careful with the older genealogy if they're going to do HotD, as there will be some spoilers present.
3:00 ~ That is an excellent idea 😆
I have been waiting SO long for this episode. You aren’t sweet summer children anymore, it’s time to play the game of thrones 🫶🏼🇦🇺
You win or you die 😈
Another mother had to watch her firstborn son die.
This episode is the great turning point of this season.great reaction as always girls!!!
3:24 TOTALLY THINK a group effort family tree will help, even this far into the series. It never hurts! I started watching near the end of season 6 and binged and the first almost 6 seasons in 2 months and characters and knowing how they related to each other was my biggest obstacle.
I'm so glad you Ashley and Lindsay could bask in the glory of Joffery's death, especially with the impromtu song and dance. -------- Ashley could not watch another episode after the Red Wedding. --------- Here comes the purple wedding and Ashley can't wait to watch the next episode.
Can we just take a second to appreciate how good of an actor Jack Gleeson was in this, so much so that we all cheered when a child died painfully in his distraught mothers arms.
He’s FANTASTIC!
It would be great if you did a family tree, imo, bc it will help you understand the families, locations and vocab, etc.
You ladies are extremely perceptive & catch things that I missed completely but found fascinating when rewatching it. Congrats on your recent wedding, Stefani! And congrats on your engagement Ashley & Lindsay! Good luck with the channel!
Be well all & remember you never know what someone is going through & one kind word can make all the difference
♥️✌🏻♥️
Ashley must be related to Sherlock Holes - her instincts are amazing! - You are asking the right questions - Knowing what you know now, go watch s4 ep1, and then s4 ep2 again - go back and watch Olenna talking to Sansa - What do you see?
My favourite episode is coming in few episodes can't wait for it🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the best performances in tv/cinema history of Tyrion/Peter dinklage👑👑👑
Ooooo yesssss 😍
The absolute willpower it had to take to not react even a little to their comments about Joffrey is amazing!!! Good job!!! And they have come SO far from episode 1 when they were squeamish about everything to actually celebrating the painful death of a teenager in this episode. They truly are not sweet summer children any longer!!!
This episode is the great turning point of this season.great reaction as always girls 🎉
Melisandra's second slug ... 🧙♀️
Looool 😂😅😂
"It's raining coffe cups"
I think it’s good to remember when Tyrion was in the small room after he got hurt due asked him let’s go away together but he told her he good at what he does in kingslanding. He told her he loves her but he wasn’t willing to give up the power and games in Westrose. I totally understand he had to be mean to make her leave but I can’t ignore he always chose power & his family status.
I commend you once again for the self control in reacting. Your steering these gals though perfectly
🥰
Gotta love westerosi wedding. Nothing hits quite like these episodes no matter how many time i watch them.
A dull affair by Dothraki standards 😉
Good to see Lindsay is feeling better!
This was filmed in March but she is doing great 😊
Also the problem with the Targaryen family tree is... its complicated, let's be kind. Less kind is to say its less of a tree and more a bramble bush tangled into itself.
*****Steph*****
Ever noticed that "The Rains of Castamere" was playing as Lady Olena was playing with Sansa's necklace?
So subtle and good 😈
@@MugShotzReacts also of note:
Lindsay: (before Joffrey drinks) Where’s the poison?
Steph: 😈
That pan to the camera after suggesting making a family tree. I love you Lindsay! 😂
36:49 - Brilliant, brilliant, brillant edit.
This is one of many reasons that i support your art. Great work everyone.
So fun.
Ashley and Linsay wished for this moment since season 1 episode 8. I feel the ladies entered wonderland, where "DREAMS DO COME THROUGH".
There are alot of running themes in this show, example being 7, the gods are seven the the Churches are called Septs, there are 7 Kingsguards, and there have only been 6 Aegon Targeyens the 5th being called Aegon the Unlikely and the 6th was Prince Rheagar and Princess Elia son whos head was smashed by the mountain during the sack of Kings Landing, Also Hands and Identities are running themes.
"It was 3 vs 7 in his Dream as it had been in life."
There were a lot of Aegons... a very popular name in the family, though only five of them came to be kings, the others either died, or were younger than the heir.
@@bill.godwin-austen you're right I guess i should have specified Kings Named Aegon.
Killing a man at his wedding, what kind of monster would do such a thing? How I like this chapter ❤️💪🏻 I will always say that Joffrey is hateful but the actor is so so good at doing it. Who would want Joffrey dead? What question! everyone except Cercei. Joffrey's death is just the beginning of an immense season, well it has been since episode 1 with the chickens, the swords and all that, but what comes now... perfection
The slip of the poison is hard to miss, but they'll catch it for sure on their next watch. .. love their minds and how they come up with theories. Great reaction as always ladies!
Actually, a family tree would be good. At the end of the season, you could have a whole drinking game show and do a shot for every wrong answer. Kinda like when we use to play the Bob Newhart game. Every time they said "Bob", shot time. My wife and I can pick a player and see who passes out first. I know who I'm picking when I want to drink and when I don't want to get sloshed.
YES, to the family tree presentation!! Please and Thank you :)
I will try to convince them lol
College humor has a great video called “George RR Martin wedding planner”. Where he asks a couple how many murders they’d like at their wedding.
I don't think I've seen that one!!
@@MugShotzReacts - you made the right choice not hiring George as your wedding planner
BIG YES!!; to Family Tree
😁
Great idea 💡
Greatest wedding in the show!!!
oh yeah, weddings and the different kind of emotions they can evoke in people...
One of my favorite episodes!
The Targaryen family tree is a wreath. 😋
"A family tree, with a branch of our own" haha
so, i am actually quite surprised.....Tyrion, the LOVER of wine, said basically, don't cry over spilled wine.......REALLY?......lol
Shae , oh, Shae... oh oh oh😐 Good actress from Germany! Greetings from Germany🥰
This show was a steady buildup to The Red Wedding and then a downward spiral to the end
One thing that really gets me every time is Joffrey chopping up Tyrion’s wedding gift. It looks like they didn’t have printing press tech in Westeros. So someone HAND WROTE that entire thick ass book! You couldn’t just buy it off the shelf! It was a freakin heirloom. And stupid Joffrey chopped it up just because!
RIP joffrey, The most noble child the gods ever put on this good earth
All hail Joffrey The Merciful. Tales of his courage have never been far from Margaery's ears. He led the defense of King's Landing.
🤪
Shae is not being stupid. It was Tyrion who got her involved. Made promises to her he couldn't keep and she though he was committed. She was with some guy at the Lannister camp and them Bron took her. You have to see it from the perspective of the characters not for what's convenient at the moment from a viewers perspective.
We shall never see his like again
Great reaction! Your theories are pretty good.
I remember yelling "CHOKE CHOKE CHOKE" this episode. It freaked out my fam. It really is too bad that Jack Gleeson quit acting after this. Joffrey had become his "Tony Stark" so he might be forever associated with the character. I would have liked to see him progress into more big budget films outside a 10 second scene with The Dark Knight.
We saw Myranda last season also. She was one of the girls that were arousing Theon.
fyi if you are ever looking for something like a family tree. Ask the viewers and more then likely someone will make one for you. the game of thrones fans are always good like that
In the greatest (or most appalling) example of fandom, a town in New Zealand built a fifteen foot tall statue of Joffrey in expectation of tearing it down at his death. Since he dies in the third book, the town built it during the second season.... and they waited a year longer than anticipated to celebrate his fall.
Stefani, obviously you know how this goes, but let me applaud Lindsay for the quick indictment on the Tyrells. Maybe you could remind your friends how Eddard married Catelyn after his older brother died.... so Tommen can be expected to step up and marry Margaery. I don't remember if this happened in the show, but in the second book Bronn suggests to Tyrion (the acting Hand) and Varys that life would be easier if Tommen was the King.... and Tyrion immediately recognizes that Bronn is hinting at deposing/assassinating Joffrey. The Tyrells want power, but they don't need Joffrey to get it... they just need the marriage.
Also, I want to recognize Ashley's quck suspicion of the Martells. We know the show ultimately makes the Tyrells guilty of Joffrey's murder, but there is more going on than that. Forgetting the show and going only by the books, I believe there were two assassination plots at Joffrey and Margaery's wedding. The first was by the Tyrells to poison Joffrey's wine..... after the toasts because Margaery was also drinking from Joffrey's goblet. In the book, Joffrey is fine with the wine... it's not until he eats Tyrion's pie with cream sauce that he suffers from the poison. No one else was poisoned and an unnamed and unknown serving plopped a single dollop of cream sauce on Tyrion's (and only Tyrion's) pie. So... before the Tyrells could poison Joffrey, Joffrey accidentally poisoned himself with the poison the Martells were using to begin the killing of Tywin's children in fron of his own eyes.
Let me also say that I'm not convinced that Alleras is Sarella. It's way too obvious. Shae may be Sarella. Tywin is probably poisoned (with a month long slow acting poison) by the wedding. He was already dying when Tyrion shoots him. Tyrion is wracked with guilt for the murders of his father and Shae... but I think the truth is that his father was already beyond saving and that Shae probably did it and was complicit in the attempt on Tyrion's life. Soooooo.... you could say killing Tywin was a mercy and killing Shae was justice for Joffrey.
If you haven't filmed it already, would you ask them which wedding was more shocking, the Red or the Purple?
Oh yes come on Lindsay, Ashley, do that family tree as you envision it so far. Pretty please. :)
In the book Bronn doesn’t train Jamie to fight left handed. The king’s justice Ilyn Payne did. Payne had his tongue ripped out by the mad king so he could be trusted not to blab about training Jamie. But the actor who played Payne died so they decided to use Bronn as Jamie’s trainer. Which is much funnier anyway.
He lived until 2022, actually.
I love that the first thought was food allergy!
I wonder what a medieval flour-substitute would be. Starvation?
That’s why allergies are much more common nowadays. Medicine is subverting natural selection. People that wouldn’t survive in the past are now passing on those genes.
I don’t think the pigeon pie is gluten free!
I’ve seen many reactors react to this episode and I’ve never seen the person grab the poison personally until just recently lol. It’s hard to see even if you know who it is lol. This one of those things you gotta piece together what happened in a little earlier and to really pay attention to the little detail to actually see it.
My boos!!! Clicked asap
I've been waiting for this!
so, here is a torture, and a death, that everyone liked...everyone was happy.....as opposed to so many other deaths
Melisandre to Stannis "Burn them all."
Holy fuck.. notes rlly help there so close to all the answers
So many people doubted them in the beginning!!!
The throne would still pass to Tommen even if Margaery had consummated the marriage.
Although, if that resulted in the birth of a prince, it would complicate the line of succession... Clearly, Tommen would be first in line right now, as there's no living heir, but once a son of Joffrey was born, they would technically be ahead of Tommen, so there could be a tricky "Regency until the heir comes of age" situation. As if succession complications aren't already one of the primary plot threads! 😃
Best. Wedding. Ever. 😂
I never say this until this episode, but I tend to think of Ramsey as Joffrey 2.0.
ABSOLUTELY
Except Ramsey is more dangerous then Joffrey. Joffrey lost a fight to a ten year old Arya. Ramsey killed 4 armed men during his “rescue” of Theon. Both are sadistic creeps but Ramsey is smarter and can do his own dirty work.
@@andrewward5891 Thus earning the upgrade to 2.0 🤔.
@andrewward5891 yeah but that was just plot armour, he was literally shirtless...
But I do agree he is more sadistic and dangerous than joeffry
@@quinnmach535- I meant the fake escape when Ramsay killed 4 of his own men with arrows to “rescue” Theon.
Sometine wishes come true.
Sure, Joffrey cutting up that book is terrible but on the other hand, it's probably the book that GRRM is working on instead of Winds of Winter.
😝
Why bran doesnt use summer to hunt that deer... and they eat it, i will never understand lol
That's actually such a good point!!!

Dammit, stop being smart :D
Who’s Tansie? 😂
I actually hated Joffrey got killed off. Loved hating him, the actor played him so good.
He was so excellent to watch!
Another Easter Egg "If we lose you, we lose everything". To the igits who don't like the ending, it's been foreshadowed THE WHOLE SERIES and you just missed it. No need to get angry at the writers for something YOU missed. There are about 10 of these throughout the series.
The minority are the people who actually liked it
Yeah. Without spoiling anything, I don't think it was the actual story elements, but the shortening of the seasons that made it "bad" for a lot of people. Things that would take multiple episodes to flesh out would happen within the timespan of one scene instead. Hitting plot points with little to no substance in between, all because they wanted to shorten the seasons in order to move on to other projects. Both HBO and George wanted full length seasons, and they also wanted more seasons. I read that George wanted the show to go until at least season 9 because that's how long he thought it would take to wrap everything up properly.
