Dragons... Tim has quite a few in his collection. Toy dragons that is. - Наука та технологія
'Realistic.' Guys, I think Tim has seen real dragons.
He IS a wizard
Tim is very ancient and very wise.
I'd be surprised if he hadn't seen a dragon.
He’s so wise what if he was indeed a dragon
@@The-Rei-Plush Are dragons considering wise?
I really don’t know bud dragons come in many different shapes forms and some have different mind sets
Not that the dragons aren't cool, but I think Tim could describe an electric toothbrush collection and it'd be nearly as engaging.
"And here we have this one...and if you look closely it's got these wonderful green bristles. Look at that. Just extrordinry. This one here, when you've finished brushing...it plays a little tune. Remarkable."
Tinfoil Haberdashery you forgot the "Heh" and "Wow"
Grant C That aside, that'd definitely be something good ol' Tim would say.
He's actually reviewed brushes in the past if I'm not mistaken.
@@tokutickler he did
The Rambling Shepherd What fantastic Japanese craftsmanship. A toothbrush that dispenses its own toothpaste. What an extraordinary concept. Heh.

I love how he calls red crocodile an honorary dragon, and even says “well done” to it XD what a cool guy
This made me laugh hahahaha
Red crocodile: *happy dragon noises*
A dungeon of dragons, very clever
Clever, yes, but I believe a group of dragons is called a Nightmare of dragons.
Caught it as well. Wow.
That would be really cool, but it's actually called a "thunder" of dragons if they're wild, and a "weyr" of dragons if they're all tamed and with riders and stuff
Cutscene Entertainment there is no official name, the english lexicon couldnt care less about the naming of a group of fictional creatures
Ya Boi we’ll a group of Canadians is called an apology and they’re imaginary too!
“Here be dragons”, quotes [REDACTED]
They will be missed...
SCP-Heh
They shall be Remembered.
Saddest story ever man
Noooooooo. I don't want to remember!
MY EMOTIONS! MY EMOTIONS!
Tim: *casualy casts fireball right next to the camera
Also Tim: fairly obvious isn’t it
The silver ball is referencing the world's first seismograph. It was built in China where there were eight dragon heads in the Cardinal and middle directions each with a metal ball in its mouth. When an earthquake happened the ball would fall out allowing the court to pinpoint the direction of the earthquake.
It's actually far older than that, and is a reference to the Dragon's Pearl, from Chinese folk lore. This stemmed from worship of the sun, which was originally portrayed as red, but eventually as white, and this then became a pearl. In Taoism and Buddhism, the pearl is a symbol of enlightenment. It's likely that the seismographs were designed as dragons BECAUSE of this dragon's pearl tradition.
@@homm3bonedragon242 Fantastic!! Thank you for explaining this!!
I remember seeing that in an encyclopedia, it was like some Chinese jar with dragons holding a ball in its mouth with a fishes attached to the pedestal.
Very interesting and niche fact, as someone who has an interest in historical innovations, I don’t think I’ve heard of this.
@@homm3bonedragon242 Interesting, indeed... I'm always impressed of how clever we are... or were, not many clever folks these days.
Your videos always cheer me up, don’t know if Tim sees these comments but I just want him to know I highly respect him and the joy he brings to us.
Of course

Oh God I hated Bubblegloop Swamp.
5:27 That is indeed a dragon. It is the _"Dragon Walker"_ from _'He-man'._
It is actually the reason I found this channel, when it was on display on a previous occasion some years back.
I had it as a child! Sadly, it was given away when my mother sold her house, where it resided at the time. I came looking for it a few years back and found Grand Illusions! 😉 So nostalgic to see _(and HEAR!)_ it in action again. Thank you kindly.
Daniel Renard I had that toy too, was about to say it was a he-man toy, then wasn't sure if i just used to put my he-man figure on it. Did you have a battle-cat toy too with red plastic armour??
Sure did. Panthor too. It was really strange the way Panthor was coated in soft purple material for some reason. Mine had a damaged spot on the leg, showing the red plastic underneath.
Daniel Renard I
I used to have it too.

Tim at 2 AM? Sounds like a great way to end the day and relax for bed.

Soothing as a fire alarm.
That “Wonderful” at the end sounded EXTRA wholesome
The pyro in me needs that last trinket. I would have hours and hours of fun, and probably end up in jail. On second thought, perhaps I don’t need it after all.
Tim would be an amazing dad, uncle or grandpa to have. He always has cool stuff to show :)
Tim is what I want to be when I grow up
"Here be dragons" tim knows where the dragons went
It's nice to see an older person on UA-cam enjoying it and having the opportunity to tap into something that is usually for the younger generation. I love this guy.
How did I stumble upon this magnificent toy documentary.

trust Tim to have the most awkward sounding He man figure. That was good ole Fisto riding the Dragon walker!!
Wasn't it called 'Attack Tracks'?
Haha. "Fisto".
mojonoodle No the Attack Track was red and had a blue track either side. I know because I had that as well as the Dragon walker!!
I truly dunno what's more entertaining, Tim himself or the comment section of his videos.

why?
here were dragons ;-;
I knew I wasn’t the only one who thought about it
@@hookahqt4465 there is one scp story about a box that said "here be dragons"
every so in a while folded paper birds (dragons) would come out, go back in and leave a message.
that message apparently was for the one who created the box and the "universe" the dragons are talking about.
but the more times the dragons appear the more we learn they're suffering from war in their world, and we see less and less dragons until fire comes out of the box and it ends.
then on the box it says
HERE WERE DRAGONS

His enthusiasm is catching. Now I can go back to my rather boring distance studies 👍👍👍
Me, grown ass man, grinning like an idiot, superbly dumbfounded in fascination, watching a professor of toy technology demonstrating with optical illusion follow you around dragon bobble heads. Now I want a collection of optical illusion dragon toy thingies too.
4:48 Godzilla's head, King Ghidorah will be pleased for this well hunted statue of Godzilla's head
Does anyone know what that last toy is?
SlenderMan it's a little rubber bulb sprayer filled with Lycopodium Powder.
krysto2012 do you know if regular flour would work? I've heard it works on bigger flames such as on movie set car explosions etc...
DoNotPushHere cursory research (google is your friend) says no.
Lycopodium is very fine, it ignites easily. With a modified cigarillo tube it's easy and relatively safe to breath fire (compared to taking petroleum in your mouth for example). Coffee creamer works too, but with the tube we (SO & me) had trouble getting it to work reliable. Same for other powders (custard powder) but it does work to an extend. Much more of a mess though and not as easy to get it right every time. Also less safe, as it drops down, some of it momentarily not ignited, some combusting, some just falling down without ever burning.
To save a bit of money we mix Lycopodium with cork powder. Cork works quite well, is very cheap, and ads sparks/glimmer to the flame.
Here is a shot where it almost looks like a dragon ;-) blog.pixelgiraffe.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/feuerwirbel.png
Note the glimmer falling directly down at the left side. With pure Lycopodium, you don't get that. With coffe creamer, it can be quite scary if it first does not combust, but then you get a flame rising up your shirt.
Here's a short GIF of part of the flame "falling down" when using a mix. blog.pixelgiraffe.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/ezgif.com-crop.gif
//edit: It may sound silly, but we always bring along a fire blanket and car fire extinguisher. Just as disclaimer - Nothing ever happened, but you definitely want to be prepared. Lyco is not a toy.
Corn starch also works
Brilliant! The videos are just consistently great. Thank you
I have to say yet again, love the intros and outros.
The mechanical dragon (with the push button) looks to be the original Godzilla's face.
