The windup toy is supposed to represent a very common movement in Russian folk dance, when women walk in small fast steady steps, while their feet are invisible under the skirt, so that they appear to be sliding or floating on the floor. Also you should get the wooden reciprocating toy with a bear and a man working hammers or sawing, i think those are the most iconic of this type.

The little mechanical wooden toy with the bird and the wolf appears to be a depiction of the old Aesop fable of the wolf and the crane. The wolf was choking on a bone and promised that anyone who could pull the bone out of his throat would get a great reward. The crane volunteered to do it. So he stuck his head into the wolf's mouth, stuck his beak down the wolf's throat and pulled out the bone. Afterwards when he wanted his reward the wolf just said," You've had your head in my mouth and I didn't snap it off! That should be enough of a reward for you!" Then the wolf left and the hapless crane realized that 1) Assholes often make promises they don't intend on keeping just to get what they want (Just look at the world of politics!) and 2) Even if you should save their life don't expect any rewards from assholes!!

This reminds me of a toy store in Portland OR I visited a lot as a kid. Lots of fanciful and complicated wooden toys, vivid tin toys, toy trains.. they had these big airplane models and flying animal toys hanging from the cieling and the walls from floor to ceiling were covered in toys from around the world.
It was especially lively around Christmas when they'd string up those old big glass lights (I think they're called c series bulbs?) round the brick building and all the children would come to play in the warm store during the cold day. If you're from Portland you might have similar fond childhood memories of the tree lighting in pioneer square and the Christmas decorations throughout the city :)
The toy store closed a while ago. I wish I could go back so badly though, it was a lovely little place.

The racoon-like animal is a sable, an extremely important animal in Russian trade history. It was the source of furs even more beautiful than those of ermines (although they are related species, sables have a very colourful black coat), and that was one of the reason Rus, a country so disorderly we literally hired Vikings to uphold order (and the word Rus comes from the finish name for Vikings) was able to unite out royal family with that of Bysanthemum and even became its successor later on.

In one of the videos, called “Vases and Pneumatic Toys,” Tim had a jug of water that seemed to never run out if you said “Water from the Nile” or “Nile water” whenever you tried to pour some out of it. Tim shows the trick many times throughout the video between the puzzles.
