CNC Tech-Tip - Using Commander to troubleshoot issues with your controller

In this video we are covering how to use the Help tools within our CNC3D Commander software to get better support for your machine and controller.
This videos covers all of the Help and support tools available in Commander including how to see the data being trafficked back and forward between Commander and your controller.
This video applies to those of you who have either a GRBL, xPROV5 or Nighthawk CNC controller.

Can CNC3D Commander software support 6012S China CNC machine?

If it uses a GRBL based controller then most likely yes. :)

I’m using an arduino uno, I can’t get it to connect to commander. All the settings are right, it says the com port is unavailable. I’ve tried universal g code sender and that works without issue. As a machinist I find your software much better for what I’d like to do and would love to use it. It would appear commander is sending but arduino isn’t sending back. Using latest GRBL, I’ve tried 3 different arduinos with no luck. Again I love your software any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i suspect you may need to check what baud rate you connecting to in the settings. on the Communications tab. Are you sure you are using the right COM Port?

@@cnc3d yes, I’ve also tried the baud rate. Changed it in my device manger and cnc3d with no luck. I’m running test with USG right now with no problems. I don’t like USG and would much rather use your software however.

You may need to go into the raw data window and let us know what data is being trafficked.
