My great Dane loves to chase after my tracks. This stampede VXL. She's faster than it most of the time but because she's my service dog. I don't like to get her to worked up, but she does love to chase it and whenever I bring it out the little hairs on her back stand up in her ears go straight back and I can tell she's ready to tear it up!
Haha awesome. :D
Love my Stampede 4x4. Very fun truck!
Great video Ryan!! That's so cool of it doing a flip in mid air & lands back on all 4 wheels :)
Thanks! :)
so cool!
great jumps, thanks for sharing!
The Stampede looks like a fun Basher👍
First thing I did when I bought mine was zip tie the wheelie bar. Nice jumps!
Yeah, I meant to do that, but it totally slipped my mind. I like that the wheelie bar is adjustable, but most of the time it's just really annoying. heh
Cool video Ryan. I have had my stampede for 2 years now. I converted mine to brushless and changed the radio to a fly sky. I zip tied my wheelie bar and it works fine that way. My truck is only a 2 wheel drive but I made chains for it so I could tear up the snow and ice.
Yeah, I meant to ziptie the wheelie bar before this run, but was so excited to get out that I forgot. haha
The stampede is a great truck.
Very Cool! Huge fan of Traxxas Nitro models.
Hey everybody it's jumping Ryan!
I'm Flyin' Ryan... the truck was the one doing the jumpin'! ;)~
Flyin' Ryan RC ask someone to make a nice wooden ramp for you, this pile of rocks will disappear someday.
nice jumps btw.
I don't have anywhere to put a ramp though. I make use of my natural surroundings, in attempt to inspire others to find ways to have fun with what they have available to them, without having to have ramps made, etc. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC can you do a review on some litehawk products like the crusher mt and the monster mt 4x4 thanks
Felipe Costa
Nice Jumping Ryan
Thanks bud! :)
excellent video - much like
Nice truck! Can't go wrong with a Stamped....but I saw the pic of your Outcast on Facebook and am really eager to see those vids.
The Outcast is so awesome! I've been having a lot more fun with it than I ever had with my Stampede. It just feels so much more capable, and I'm not afraid of breaking it. :)
I'd love to try my Traxxas X-max on that pile it's a BEAST!!
That would be awesome on this pile! My new ARRMA Outcast would love to go head to head with your X-Maxx. :D Have you seen CCxRC's latest video with some X-Maxx jumping in it?
I think that pile WAS put there for your use !! Grab a barrow and take it home before it goes ;)
I know right!? :D
nice jumps
Thanks! :)
4x4 is much nicer then the 2wd. nice video 👌
Love ur videos
Thanks! :)
Have a good Christmas
Plus..now that the dust is shaken off...you should try that mud hole on the other side of the yellow tape! hehehe.
I was actually going to make a video of that, but then I broke something in the drivetrain. I suppose I could send the Bison or Outcast into that mess, but I'm a bit worried about damaging either of them before I finish my reviews of them.
Totally understand about finishing the review. But once that is done...I expect some mud runs. lol
Gonna be snow runs more than likely for a few months. haha Hopefully that parking lot stays in a state of repair now, since it looks like they didn't get it done before the freeze, and I don't think they're gonna be getting anything done with frozen ground. I definitely have lots of plans for the Outcast though. Oh, and you may be the right person to ask... do you know for sure or not if the Bison can take a 4S? I've heard mixed stories. The box says 2S for standard, and 3S for "Extreme", and mine has a 3S, so I thought I had the Extreme version. But a commenter was saying that the Extreme is supposed to have a 4S.
Snow runs are pretty great too. When I received the Bison and unboxed it, I read that it could handle 2-4s. That may just mean the 120A ESC can handle it...I'm not sure. The Spur gear is plastic...so it may melt and need to be replaced. lol. My motor/ESC don't seem to run too hot on 3s, so I'm guessing 4s should be fine. But like anything...the faster it goes...the easier things break....
Yeah, and it's plenty fast and fun on 3S, so I think I'll just stick with that. :) Good info to relay in my review though. Thanks! :)
Nice truck. I always wanted an e revo.
Check out the VKAR Racing Bison... it's like the E-Revo, but cheaper, and maybe even better.... it has LED headlights and tail lights. I have a jumping video of it (on this same rock pile), and will have a full review coming soon. I think it's on sale at Gearbest for like $275 right now.
Guru!!!!!!!! Excellent!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks bud! :)
Ryan you show that stampede who's boss! :-)
It's been stored away for so long... it was happy to have me take it out and shake the dust off it. :D
Flyin' Ryan RC Cool! maybe he will get some more run time now that you broke him out of a deep sleep! :-)
Well, after filming this video I broke something in the drivetrain, so it's benched for a while until I can take it into the hobby shop. haha I'll be too busy having fun with my new ARRMA Outcast anyway. :)
+ 1 on the arrma outcast....outcast that stampede the arrma outcast is awesome!
Hay the make such good videos and you have inspired me to make my own channel
Awesome! Good luck with your channel! :)
Keep it up
lol i put the velineon stuff (modded of course) in a tamiya grasshopper with some aftermarket parts and it rips, defiantly suggest you pick up a tamiya kit
be careful with doing RC out in the cold, moderate impacts can make the plastic shatter like glass
Yeah, that's why I hurried right from the house to jumping, while the truck was still warm from being inside. :)
Ha ! Ha ! The body on my Stampede looks just like yours. The ass end keeps flopping up on jumps just like yours does !! Must be a quirk of the Stampede body after so many jumps ?
Yeah, the back end is kind of poorly designed, and the body is weak. Every time you nose-over, the rear end bends down at the body pegs, slowly breaking the body at the pegs. :/
hey Ryan witch do you like the best between the bison and the stampede ??
I think it would have to be the Bison. Its low center of gravity just makes it so stable and fun to drive. I roll my Stamped over a lot because it's so tall. :/
you should get the summit and do some rock climbing :D loved the video tho
When I bought this Stampede, years ago, I went back and forth between either getting the Stampede or the Summit. In the end, I decided that I just didn't have as much use for the Summit, and couldn't justify the higher price. I'm glad I went with the Stampede, since it is much more practical for the type of running areas that I have access to. :)
ok :)
Hi, its me again :)
Hello :)
Where did you get, or what did you use for the body clip retaining system ?
This is the retainer: amzn.to/2gIyc2V
And I use these pull tabs as well: amzn.to/2gIuczb
Flyin' Ryan RC
I use the Proline pull tabs, but they rip after a while..
Yeah, but I have like 3 dozen of them, so I'm not too concerned. lol
use a zip tie on the wheelie bar.
worked great for me
Yep, that's what I usually do, but I forgot to hook it up before I went out. Was too excited to get out and do some jumping. lol
So how did it feel compared to Arrma Monster?
The ARRMA Outcast is so much better in every way. It is an absolute beast, and it feels so balanced and controllable in the air. My videos for the rest of this week will be my maiden run of the Outcast on 4S, then jumping it on 4S, and then my first run on 6S. :)
Yeah, it's a blast on 6S! Makes me wish I had a more proper track to run it on.
how do you installl the wheelie bar on the rustler
I have no idea. Never had a Rustler...
Where’d u go
You haven't posted a video in over a year, you okay Ryan?
Do you have other traxxases
Well, just the Aton quadcopter. No other ground vehicles.
Review the traxxas slash 4x4 platinum edition
Too expensive. :/
they Ryan is this your only video on stampede 4x4
Nope, I made a running video of it years ago. Never reviewed it though, because that was before I started doing reviews.
I find got a xmax 👏👏👏
xmaxx prize??
How is it not white there? We have at least 8 inches of snow here, at this point I'm going to be mad if it isn't a white Christmas, and Traxxas while a great brand are expensive and they do have a few quirks like the wheelie bars lol.
This was filmed two weekends ago. We have snow on the ground now. I hate winter so much, lol, but I plan on making the most of it with my new ARRMA Outcast, which should be awesome in the snow. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC Okay i'm coming over, that's too much truck for you hahahaha
It's such an awesome beast. :)
Flyin' Ryan RC I know, I wish I had the extra $$$ but opted to get married and have children, they keep me broke lol.
Hahaha :)
hey man you should review the 9116 off GearBest
I was sent a similar GPtoys truck (I forget the model number now), but it broke on the very first run. That chassis has a serious design flaw where the rear body posts are connected to the rear suspension, and it all attaches to the main frame in a very weak spot, with two screws putting two big holes right in the spot that takes all the force of any nose-over crash. One nasty nose-over, and a hard hit on that back body post, and it takes out the entire rear suspension. And it would be a huge pain in the butt to fix. So, I trashed it and told them I wouldn't review it unless they redesigned it without that weak spot.
Flyin' Ryan RC OK man thanks anyway but I think you should review another crawler
Run a zip tie through the upper part of the wheelie bar, then it stays.
Yeah, that's what I meant to do, but I just forgot to before going out to film.
I just recently got a used vxl 4x4 stampede. I know your pain with that wheelie bar. After my first outing with it, I quickly threw a ziptie on it. After that thing pops apart 20 times, you want to rip it off. But, without it, the rear of the body would get trashed in minutes due to the wheelies.
I put a zip tie on that wheelie bar and it stays now
Oh ok
Will you do a review of this please
No, it's way too old to be worth reviewing now. In fact, it's not even the same as the model they sell now, which has TSM and self-righting.
Oh ok I have the slash 4x4 and rustler vxl they both have tsm and it makes a huge difference
Yeah, I'm jealous that I don't have the new version of the Stampede. The self-righting alone would be a huge improvement. :)
Its like $20.00 for the tsm receiver
But I'd also need a new transmitter too. I currently have a Spektrum Rx in my Stampede.
It has self righting
No it doesn't... not the old version I have, anyway. Maybe that is something new they've added in newer versions.
Flyin' Ryan RC it is. Yours looks brand new. That's why I thought it had it. Sorry
No worries! And if you saw it up close, you wouldn't think it looks brand new. lol
doesnt have that kick to it; the motor. the torque is not enough i guess
Looks like 2S not 3S.
Well it was definitely 3S. Obviously I wasn't gunning it most of the time, and it was on rocks too, so...
for 3s that's not to fast...my stampy 4x4 VXL runs 50+ on 2s
For the weather and ground conditions, and the short runs I was doing, yeah it is. ;)
Flyin' Ryan RC that truck is a beast man! I enjoy it alot. it's not an arrma but it sure is fun!
Yeah, I've had a lot of fun with it over the years. It's pretty top-heavy though, so it rolls over a lot, which can get frustrating.
Why are you wearing gloves
Because it was cold out...
