Poor Rex... he had such a legitimately strong belief in what he was doing and had zero clue that it was all for nothing the entire time until it was too late. All that fighting and sacrifice and his worst fear came true anyway...
The sheer depression from that would absolutely crush me to dust. But even after all that Rex still found the resolve to fight against the Empire into his elderly age. Much like how Obi-Wan is an example of a pure Jedi, Rex is the perfect example of a pure warrior. The end of the line won't stop him from continuing to fight until he dies.
There’s not a lot that could possibly influence me to join the military in any capacity, but Rex is one of them
After all the Clone Wars episodes and everything, that scene between Anakin and Rex in the move then ends in "The mission always comes first, sir" just becomes that much more impactful
"In my book, experience outweighs everything."
"You're like 10!"
(Sorry for the age, thanks for telling me the right one)
14
I always forget that Rex is 4 years younger than Ahsoka
(It was said in the novelisation of the clone wars film that Ahsoka was 14 and that Rex was 10)
@@Ash.or.something experience not age
At the start of the war, rex was 10 and ashoka was 14. At the end, ashoka was 17 and rex was 13.
TrashChief that’s so funny to think about
It's wild seeing Fives asking Rex is that what he was engendered to think back on Umbara .Then uncovered the plot, and tried to tell Rex. Order 66 happens Rex tells Ahsoka to find Fives.....brilliant writing
Rex is more than just a Clone Captain, he has the whole region on his back supporting him. Literally is a GOAT in Star Wars for sure.
This is why he’s the most badass clone
"The great quotes of: Captain rex"
Literally everything hes said at all.
I loved Rex in Rebels. He gave Ezra some good Force related advice despite being a clone.
welp... david prowse had die so im going to ask for darth vader quote next in memory of david prowse
Rex standing up to wrecker is just amazing. Rex and fives I feel are the two strongest clones in the show ( I know the bad batch have extra abilities so to speak , but Rex and fives seem to have a different mindset from other clones)
"It's Captain, Sir." That line was so awesome.
I like the voice actor for Rex. He really brought more character to the already great captain.
All of the clones have the same voice actor
13:10 The PTSD for him, the nostalgia for us all
5:30 “Listen, everyone always thinks the time their living is most epic. The most important age to end all ages. But heroes and tyrants rise and fall, and historians sort out the pieces….. But don't start thinking this war-your war, is more important than any other war just because you're in it.” -Jolee Bindo
It was great to see Rex survive the entirety of the clone wars and even all of this. The sheer level of determination and courage that man had, even fighting off the effects of the inhibitor chip for a few moments, absolute legend of a clone soldier.
“Roger Roger” My favourite quote
The quotes of rex and at the beginning of every clone wars episode still inspire me today
"In my book, experiencce outranks everything" words to live by.
Together with Luke, Vader, and the Imperial March. The most iconic character.
Rex and Kenobi are by far my two favorite star wars characters, they're just so freaking amazing!
amazing to think that Rex survived all the clone wars, as well as right up into the last battle of the galactic civil war. A true veteran.
When I grow up, I wanna be captain Rex
We all do my friend
You should definitely try Fives, Padme, Anakin/Vader, and Ahsoka, but it wouldn't hurt if you added live action quotes that way you could do those of Luke, Leia, Finn, and Rey
@@odst7973 didn't happen. Won't ever happen
@@Wyck1349 honestly if they had different directors and no Kathleen Kennedy they would have been fine
@@odst7973 cmon man you don't want a compilation of Finn just screaming "REY!"
@@Al_Thor that already exists
Rex... That one trooper that attacked a bad batch member and walk away unscathed. Literal badass.
4:07 That was the most devious look Obi-wan has ever given.
I can't kill you but I can have him kill you for me. 😆
rex is the fictional embodiment of what every soldier and man should be
What if every human was like rex the world would be a wonderful place then
Yes, yes it would be
If we would all kill unarmed people the world would be beteer?
@@Purgious no but if every human had the personality of rex
@@Purgious unarmed and innocent aren’t the same thing
If every human was like Rex the world would look like Kamino without the Kaminoans.
the moment you realize a jedi and 3 clones are 20 times more powerfull than some of the best legions of storm troopers
4:14 when Rex says I'm no Jedi, guess who else says that EXACT line later on? Ahsoka going up against Vader when Vader says "Revenge is not the Jedi way" and Ahsoka responds "I'm no Jedi"
I just realized: Echo’s handprint came from Rex when he was a shiny! My heart 💜
How convenient that the blood of Rishi eels is 501st blue, eh?
“Look, I don’t doubt you can pull it off, but I don’t thin fives and I will be around to see it”. One of the few times Rex talked to Anakin on an informal and rankless way
6:10 My favorite rex quote: "wooAAAAAAAAAAH"
* Kanan jumps across a bridge *
Saw: I always forget they can do that
Rex: Yeah... but he’s no Skywalker
Best quote 😂
"Permission to take point, sir?"
"I'm always first, kid."
Man, Rex always puts himself in danger before his men, the sign of a very good leader.
I swear Rex is legit the best and funniest character as well as the 2nd sassiest, 2nd to Ahsoka on the sass
Captain rex is a excellent soldier for the battlefield he fought for his brothers and that's why i like he
I love how Rex mentions the Siege even though rebels came out before s7 of TCW
Rex is the greatest clone to ever live and will always be one of top 10 favorite characters in the Star Wars universe
2:20
I like that even the other clone thought it was so stupid that it wouldn't work, only for it to work on the very droid that's meant to be Assassins.
Agent Kallus (as I know him): "Why would she give command to you? I commanded Star Destroyers."
Cpt Rex: "Well I'd say you answered your own question then."
Way to go Cpt Rex!
And if I remember correctly, Khallus shifts seats after that great comeback.
Everyone deserves a boss like Rex. Tough, but fair as long as you respect him and you are deserving of his respect. Hope you’re doing well wherever you are Captain. For the Republic 🫡
"You're shorter than I expected"
Rex is one of the reasons I want to rewatch clone wars and rebels
General kenobi where is General Skywalker I need to speak with him
I hope Rex eventually found out that Ahsoka survived Malachor. That would be so sad if he thought she was dead up until his own death
All the Clones were great Men. I love them.
Captain Rex is my favourite non Jedi/Sith character in the Star Wars universe
Rex was one of the few clones who could match or even beat the jedis in terms of combat effectiveness leading to how the jedis often respected him as an equal, even more than clones that technically outranked him like Cody
i'm missing one of the better ones.
Kanan: you shoot just like a stormtrooper.
Rex: Its the helmet I CANT SEE. *trows the helmet*
Thrown helmet into a stormtrooper😂
I love when Rex is with other Jedi, he just starts talking about how absolutely insane General Skywalker’s plans are.
