- Captain Rex was so important to both Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. He was there when Anakin met Ahsoka, he fought beside them both in countless battles, and was there with Ahsoka during the Siege of Mandalore. He fought in the Battle of Endor, was a part of Phoenix Squadron, and was considered by Ahsoka to be a dear friend. #ahsokaseries #captainrex

Rex is one of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars. A brave soldier and a good friend.

They viewed her as one of them. While she wasn’t viewed as a clone, she was their sister-in-arms.

I'm actually more heartbroken at that sight, then when they turn again them, when order 66 is executed. Because we, the viewer, know that will happen...
@@SWPhoenixSquadronagreed 💯 percent I loved how when it shows Ashokas past in world between worlds in Ashoka series it shows Rex running past Ashoka and waving to come forward and she mentioned what she felt about clones and it shows that she cares so much about clones just as much as Rex I hope in second season that Ashoka mentions Rex some way or another

The Clone Wars is a legit masterpiece. As a child watching the show I had no idea how much of a impact it would have on me nor for how long. One cannot ask for a better show to grow up watching
The detail of Rex continuing to call her Commander even though he is no longer under her command, is awesome.
That and, he went to parade rest when in her presence.
But the show was full of that. Wasn’t Rex calling Kanan Commander too out of habit and catching himself when he did it? He was thrilled to relive Clone and Jedi glory days.
It was gregor who mistook kanan as a general, kanan says he was never a general. Gregor calls him commander and kanan gets mad.
True, but also when they meet the separatists again, at the start, Rex calls kanan general, commander and kanan. Because of Rex’s past and it was a bit of a sad time for him going back there, he got mixed up. So they both did! 😊

While Rex and the 501st are deeply impacted by Anakin's respect for them and his outside-the-box thinking but Rex is the heart and soul of the Clone Wars series.
This whole video shows why Rex was greatest soldier in the Republic and when it said he was apart of the first battle on Geonosis I really believe he was the clone that helped Padme. Also the bond Rex and Ahsoka had was truly heartwarming to me because of amount of love, care, and trust between them shows that they were like brother and sister.

The clone who helped padme was a regular phase 1 while rex was a captain even then so he should have had captain markings.

The end scene of the clone wars is Ahsoka stands before the graves was so heartbreaking and I love every minute of it.
Rex like Ashoka is a reflection of Anakin and his rebellious relationship with the rules and orders hence his ability to fight order 66 long enough to save Ashoka it’s a testament to who Anakin was before he fell to Sidious’s manipulations rebellious but loyal

Rex was one of the most important clones during the Clone War. But that's going to happen when you serve along side one of the most significant Jedi.
Rex in live action in Ashoka made my year. We got both phase 1 and 2.
I just hope we see him in the present
the music at the end of the clone wars in the scenes were ahsoka is honoring the clones that died is absolutely beautiful.

Bruh I love Rex so. much . I legit cried during the order 66 scene during the clone wars show.
When Ahsoka removes Rex's helmet and you see the grief and despair on his face and the tears in his eyes... That really humanized the entire "Clone/Soldier" ideal... Emotions you don't see through the helmet.. that scene choked me up BAD... such a masterpiece

And to get revenge on the clones for his foreshadowing of their massive deadly charge against Jedi.

I'd tune into every clone wars episode I could as a kid. Now, all I can think of is how to start watching it again
We all know how important Rex is. It’s the fools at Disney that need telling. How can a character so important to Ahsoka not even be mentioned by her. People you serve with especially in War are never forgotten and you always talk about them.
In all fairness she clearly has shown in this particular season that she is not capable of facing her past. Unfortunately we might have to consider that Rex has died due to old age, I really hope not though. But either way I assume we’ll have to eventually have Ashoka talk to someone about Anakin and Rex or she’ll never develop any further. Also we need Zeb to show up as well. Carson Teevas there so I guess maybe Zeb will show up soon in light of recent events.
…you do realize that his biggest roles all came AFTER Disney bought the company? Rebels? Clone Wars Season 6 and 7? Bad Batch? ALL UNDER DISNEY!

If I can, I'll add a theory about him (I can't remember if it's mine or if I heard it somewhere). The reason he was able to hesitate against Order 66 is because of Anakin. Unlike all the other clones, Anakin encouraged him to think for himself and to speak up when something is wrong. This unique ability allowed him to challenge Order 66 at first glance.

Rex is by far the single coolest soldier in all of star wars lore. there are alot of dope ones, but Rex just is that much more of a character and dope soldier to be anything but on top of the chart.

Captain Rex is my favorite character in Star Wars The Clone Wars. I actually have a plastic mask of Rex’s helmet.
I know Star Wars and all is fictional but I can’t help but feel sad when seeing all the things that could have been prevented had the Jedi not been so ignorant

Also the Republic simbol on Jessie helmet symbolism the end of the Republic along side all the clone troopers and all the Series as we know it 😢 Marking a new era of the Clone Wars. Also a beautiful ending with classical "we are gonna down with she ship" make it clear. That's the best ending we could ask for❤

In my opinion it was more authentic with them using Temuera voice. He is the voice of the clone army originally. This was live action so you want it as authentic as possible

Clone wars and rex always knew how to get to my emotions.. I love what it did for the Prequels and the clones. All the games and Prequels hit so much different. They were not just some stand ins for battle, not all the same either. Just like a normal Twin they all have their differences in appearance and their personalities are unique 1by1.
When Ahsoka sees the 501st with the helmets... That hurt man :3 That hurt.. Rebels and Clone wars will always be some of the best story telling in star wars ever.
Dave Filoni is a matter storyteller. The way he has woven Ahsoka, Rex, and the other clones into the main line story of star wars is nothing short of genius. He humanized the clones and made us care about them individually. And Ahsoka is hands down my favorite star wars character ever. Outside of Anakin she has the most developed and fleshed out story in all of SW Canon. Rex is a close s third in terms of complete storylines.

The Umbara arc is so underrated
Rex saying “excuse me?” is another example of how well Anakin and Obi treated the clones. Rex had gotten so used to his name being used by higher ups that you can assume he’d forgotten his designation until then.
This is not the last we see of Rex. He was at the Battle for the Moon of Endor as one of the rebels.
I hate how to chrome words ended. It definitely shouldn’t have. It’s so sad how all the Crohn’s died for the clone army piece

My headcanon is that Rex was never even considered as a Marshal Commander like Cody because a) The 501st Legion was probably a subgroup under Commander Cody's 7th Sky Corps and b) Rex was a frontline commander so if in the situation that Rex is killed would be horrible for morale. So Rex kept his rank as captain. The boring (and not really solid) explanation is because Ahsoka was the commander of the 501sr
