I think this is one of those concerts where we can see George truly happy to play. It makes my day to see his smiling face, enjoying himself while playing with one of his idols
I met George Harrison at one of his concerts it was only brief but as he was leaving many he was shaking hands of some of the guests as he walked by and he shook mine and gave me a sweet smile like he did for everyone
Eric Clapton admitted in an interview that he didn't like rockabilly music associated with Carl Perkins. It was not until he met Harrison during the Second Beatles Christmas Show in 1964 that he came to appreciate the likes of Carl Perkins. At the same time Clapton widened Harrison's interest in Blues music.
Cuánta alegria hay en este video!! Carl Perkins, George Harrison, Dave Edmunds, grandes músicos... Qué rockabilly gozoso tocan!! La sonrisa de George es impagable...🎶🎸🎸🎸❤❤❤

What could be better than this? The whole show. Find the video of Carl Perkins. Not only is George there but Ringo, Roseanne Cash, Eric Clapton and the Stray Cats. It's a fantastic show. I have always thought that George had a great voice, also Ringo.
I’m sure I commented on this before but, in my humble opinion, this is George at his Rockin’ best; all us Beatle guitarists would have loved a Rockabilly album from Mr. Harrison
George looks and sounds great in this video. He always looked up to Carl Perkins even taking the stage name Carl Harrison briefly. Thanks for sharing this slice of history.
So to see George smile in a performance,he really loved Carl and his music. You hear a big Carl Perkins influence in his guitar playing, especially in the. old days. His lead in "Roll over Beethoven" was Chuck berry filtered through Carl Perkins.
George idolized Carl Perkins.
Sure did
All of the Beatles did. Paul said if there was no Carl there would have been no Beatles.
Yes, no more evident during the medley segment when George keeps looking up to Carl Perkins as if to say, look Carl, not bad eh. what do you think?

George's voice got better with age.
😂
@@Redhotshawntexas ?
i really like his sweeter voice from earlier on in his career during the beatles and on ATMP, but his voice aged really well id say!
George was my favorite Beatle & I love this. Carl Perkins was always in Elvis' shadow & didn't recieve the recognition he should have.
This is george harrison at rockin best
One of the best rock n roll. Shows i have ever seen in my life
George looks and sounds incredible 🎉
If George is happy i m happy
Five guitars. Three up front and two in the back. I love this!
I miss George.
George was great
What could be better than this?
NOTHING !!!
nothing!!! this absolutely rocks
God dam,I wish these great musicians were still around
Ringo and Paul are still around
Harrison sounded vocally incredible, particularly with Perkin's trademark rockabilly echo on the mix.
even though it was a Carl Perkins show I bet they all got the shivers when a Beatle entered the stage!

Dois guitarristas feras e a humildade do George por tantas palmas impressionou até o baixista que ficou pasmado.
R.i.P George e Karl e obrigado.
Pure Class from Carl and George, plus Dave Edmunds, and those other great musicians...
Cheap rockabilly
George, looking happy and obviously enjoying himself
He had great hair, too.
He was a member of the greatest show on earth! RIP George
We Miss You George And Carl Two Music Icons ❤
I’m sure I commented on this before but, in my humble opinion, this is George at his Rockin’ best; all us Beatle guitarists would have loved a Rockabilly album from Mr. Harrison

WOW! Love this!!! ♥ George was always my favorite Beatle! And Carl, well.....WOW!!! ♥♥♥ Pure Rock N Roll
Not seen george play lead like that since the early beatle years!!💕💞💖
George looks and sounds great in this video. He always looked up to Carl Perkins even taking the stage name Carl Harrison briefly. Thanks for sharing this slice of history.
Oh to have been there . Never seen GH so happy like a kid in a sweet shop ❤
ジョージ、最高😊
ボーカルもいい感じ、ギターの音色も最高
Unusual to see Dave Edmunds as a sidesman but I believe he produced this gig.
Dave Edmunds….saw him in a pub in Knightsbridge area…around this time…good memories
Jeff Lynne was producing Dave’s album around this time. Dave introduced Jeff to George and the rest was history.
He had a great band. An underrated musician.
Great to see George play a lead without slide.
el mejor musico, George Harrison , la historia , musical.

George had some real good fun with this.
They Both Look And Sound Great George And His Classic Gretcsh Guitar ❤
Love it
George Harrison, Gretsch guitar, Vox AC30....
George looks like he could actually be Carl's son. My favorite Beatle.
George era asombroso cantando rockabilly también hehehe
ジョージ、楽しそう。大好きなカールパーキンスと一緒だからかな。
ジョージの影響で、カールパーキンス大好きになりました。
Pretty sure I never saw George happier than this!
Apart from the Traveling Wilburys possibly.

BEATLES 6 ALBUM ❤
Interestingly this was first shown on Channel 4.
That's when I first saw it but had to get the DVD.
I have this show on DVD and it's absolutely fantastic! 1995 I believe.
It was in September 1985, and you're right: it's a wonderful show!
Yes, I actually meant 1985, my typo. Thanks for pointing it out! And yes, I've watched it many times, I love Carl Perkins! Go cat go!
Very easy three chord song, one of a few I play to busk for money sometimes 😊
Gran musico y cantante, que puso a temblar a Lennon y McCartney.
❤️
WOW!!!!
My boys
Yeah!
最高
Amazing. Interesting that he used a Gretsch in 1986. Given to him by his wife Olivia.
It seems Dave Edmunds is the other guitarist and singer
He sounds like how he did in the 60s😭
Is that Dave Edmunds on rhythm guitar?
Is that Dave Edmonds in the blue jacket?
I think so......
yes he is
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
George is just KILLING Your True Love!! You can see the 14 year old rocker he was.
Always thought this was a Beatles song
Quite a few of their early numbers were covers, e,g. Rock &'Roll Music and Roll Over Beethoven were both Chuck Berry compositions.
2回あるギターソロがほぼ同じなのがジョージらしい
I can imagine how free George Harrison felt without the "dictator" McCartney, who both made him a great lead guitar and yet took his spontaneity away.
But he wouldnt have sung Another Day or My Love.
Who's the guy playing the red guitar??🙄🇬🇧
paul mccartney
@@andreverhagemusic glad he finally got his arms put on the right way.
Ringo
Shame they were great composers .now they are decomposing ….
Great❤
으와 이런 멋진 영상이 있었다니...최고 최고 최고...
George ain't a lead guitar guy...lol
He was literally the lead guitarist for The Beatles on nearly every song...
You're a bonehead. George is consistently ranked among the best there's ever been.
Let's see you play.
pffffff
You were expecting John McLaughlin ?
