Do you have a Tutorial on hoe to animate the different colours
i thought that making a car paint was very short for a tutorial. but you extended it with some useful tips + tricks
Yes, thanks!
I really like how you explain things. I have watched some of your videos and I went from not really knowing how to texture to being able to texture pretty decently now. Thank you!
Cool! Glad my videos are helpful. Thanks for watching!
This looks really good, but something I've learned from other car paint tutorials is to use a noise texture and a bump map to give the paint a slight orange peel effect, if you're going for extreme realism.
Ok cool. Thanks for the feedback!
For myself ..I really want to learn how to edit existing models to make it my own, a lot of people I know uses Zmodelr3 blender looks like the more user friendly platform, which video do you have to help me with that or if possible would you please help me?? LOL
WOW! I have to say I LOVE your procedural texture videos. They are one of the most interesting, fascinating and fun parts of working in 3D. The fact that you give these away to Patreon subscribers is enough of a reason for anyone to become a Patron, and you do so much other amazing work as well!
This paint looks amazing!
Let me just leave this WOO right here for you:
WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! :)
I hope you have a great rest of your weekend my friend!
Thanks! I appreciate it! 😀
You helped me with modelling some car parts I need. They look much better now, I can relate better to how they will look in reality. Thanks!
glad my videos can help!
As usual, perfectly explained. Great. I have just used it on a guitar tuner that I am working on for a discord challenge.
Cool!
As usual another very helpful, concise, and easy to follow tutorial! Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is so useful for me... because I specialise in car modelling and designing. Thank you!!!
Yes! You make a lot of car models. Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with these videos! I am relatively new to Blender and have learned so much about shaders and the node system from watching your tutorials! Thanks again!
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching. 😃
I really appreciate the efforts you put in to explain what you are doing in your videos.
Thank you. I appreciate you commenting on the video!
@@RyanKingArt by the way is there a way in which I can save my materials to use in a new project ?
@@valerian8566 You can append the material into a different Blender file.
Wow. I consider myself at least an intermediate with Blender at this point, but I always learn so many cool workflow tricks from your videos. Great job. Your channel is a treasure. :)
glad you like my videos!
Came for a clearcoat tutorial. I'm not disappointed
thanks!
great tutorial!! thank you :D
Thank you for the comment! And thanks for watching 😃
Congratulations man!!!
Thanks 🙂
Awesome and informative tutorial as always! Thank you!
Fun thing to add, use the Facing function on the Layer Weight node with a color ramp to get a cool pearlescent effect! Learned that from Ducky3d a while ago and combined it with your shader here to good effect!
Super helpful - and easy to follow - for a beginner like myself! I'm subscribing to your channel to learn more, thanks Ryan!
Thanks for the sub!
Awesome🎉
Thanks!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thanks, homie.
you're welcome!
Looks amazing, another great video 👍🏻
I would love to see how you model and animate a formula 1-car, for example the Ferrari F2001 😊
thanks!
Thank you Brother!!!
you're welcome! 👍
very help ful
Glad it helped
Amazing 😍😍
Thanks Blender Stuffs!
great tutorial 👍
glad you like it!
Brilliant
Thank you!
Use this nodes to make something different, whith " 3D -- F2 -- Minkowski" in Voronoi and big scale u can make something like velvet. So, all in all, best tutors from u!
And try make Randomnes on 0 -- its wery ineteresting look like.)
@@VexOb Ok I will try it. : )
I think this would work with plane too
what about clearcoat orange peel? All paints have peel.....
If I'm getting a luxury car, I gotta go with black.
Cool 👍 🙂
Many thanks for this tutorial. Looking forward to going through it with one of my car models. Just wondering... did you do a tutorial on modeling the car?
Thanks! No, I made this car, but I didn't make a tutorial on it. I'd like to do a full car tutorial series sometime though. : )
@@RyanKingArt That sounds great! Cheers. :)
@@RyanKingArt I find the idea of a full car series very interesting. I have an idea for a video series that I hope you like.
In the first part you model a Formula 1 car, either one of the current generation or a classic from the past [e.g. the Ferrari F2001, Jaguar R2, Prost AP04 Acer or Jordan Peugeot F1 197 with the Snake Livery].
In the second part you animate the car including the driver [hands, steering wheel and head] and let it drive through a curve, once an onboard shot [the iconic T-camera above the cockpit] and an outside shot. The famous Eau Rouge curve on the 'Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps' racetrack, for example, could be a good example of a curve, where very impressive shots are taken every year [e.g. as in the video ' The best camera angle in F1 over the years (2000-2021): Raidillon'].
Maybe you like my idea, it would be an interesting project and an exciting video series.
Excellent. Will all this translate to a PBR set or in my case, a Base Texture, Comp, and Normal File, which could be used by a 3D Program?
You will need to bake out the textures to texture maps, to use them in a game engine or other 3d program. Here is my texture baking tutorial playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLsGl9GczcgBvJPh7D_ITafvmTW7ZzQTEr.html
ryan lets say that i want to add this procedural material over an image texture, how could I do that?
love your content!!
you can add in the image into the material, and mix it together with a Mix RGB node.
Can you please tell me which nodes I can use to texture beak of a bird.
Hmm, Yes I can try. But first, what type of bird are you trying to make? And also, do you want a realistic bird, or a stylized one?
@@RyanKingArt if the link which I shared is removed by youtube then I am creating a cute penguin much like penguins of Madagascar baby penguins.
is there anyway to change the color of the flake?
You mean the color of the car paint? Yeah I show how to do that in the video. I don't exactly know what you mean by changing the color of the flakes, because the flakes go into the roughness value. But you can change that too with a color ramp.
I would like to know how to bake this Procedural, I want to make the texture of the car with this material, can I do it?
yes, check out my Texture Baking for Beginners Tutorial.
@@RyanKingArt thanks
Love how this looks, but what do you do when you want to make a white car? A white base color with metallic all the way up makes the car look like chrome or brushed nickel depending on the roughness. How would you counteract this? Thanks in advance!
Umm I don't know. just make it white I guess. or you could turn off the metallic value and that might give you the result your looking for.
Base layer of white, metal flakes layer silver with flake texture driving normal and opacity, then clear coat.
Im boutta make a transformer 😎
cool!
am i able to use this in my animation?
Yes you can totally use the procedural material in your artwork and animations. 👍
How do I export nodes to use in different projects?
Hello Shalom Mann! Good to see a comment from you again. To add a material into a different blender file, just open the new blender file, and then click on file, and append. Then locate and select the other Blender file. Then locate to the material folder, and select the material you want to append. Then it will append that material into the new file, and you can find it in the material slots.
@@RyanKingArt now that you say that it seems so simple thanks
@@MusicalGeniusBar Glad to help!
😀
Thanks!
