This TV just blew my mind. I knew it was going to look good, but not like this. It's so refreshing to finally get a product that I can say is worth every single penny.

Just bought mine recently also. Do you feel that the whites are too blown out and over power the rest of the image sometimes? If so, how did you handle it? Btw, I also agree about movies on the TV. Awesome. Also Xbox series X looks amazing!
Sadly there is no G2 available in those sizes. Hate these oversized TVs. All I want is a 4k, 27" OLED monitor with high refresh rate, hdr1000 etc. But for some reason there's nothing to meet the massive demand for these, so I'm forced to look at TVs for the first time ever. Such a bad time for gaming hardware.
@@B.D.E. No. There's 4K high refresh monitors coming out about every month. That's good. Also, OLED panels are cut from larger "sheets." Presumably, the larger the TVs, the less wasted materials. Eventually the OLED tech will be available at smaller sizes and at reasonable prices. Just remember a 55" LG OLED was literally $15,000 in 2013. So, they've come a long way.
Would be nice to see an updated video on this considering most of the input lag differences between the C1 has been reduced with recent firmware updates. I believe the C2 even comes out on top now! I especially want to see you reviewing the C2 42" as a PC monitor spesifically! With Black Friday these days the video would probably be very relevant for interested buyers.
I already like it for another reason besides the tech inside/picture quality, I prefer central stands rather than the little ugly legs some other tv's have on the sides.

0:16 The 55" and up models are brighter than the 42" and 48" models, because LG is limiting the brightness of the latter due to their higher pixel density.
no thats bs. my 14 inch oled laptop is plenty bright. what some smaller C2 models use none evo older tech WCB panels and not the newer WBE panesl .hence the reason why they are less bright. this guy is an idiot not to share that
Unfortunately, there has been constant delays with the unit we purchased, we really were expecting to have received it by now. Once it finally gets delivered, we'll get it in the lab right away!
I've heard that the LG C2 is actually a excellent TV for a WRGB OLED. But now it seems like a lot of people have jumped ship and are on the Samsung QD OLED ship now. I understand new technology can be exciting but LG OLED has been around for awhile and most people who own them really like the TV's. QD OLED is a good match up of quantum dots and OLED technology but I still think the standard OLED technology is great as well.
LG CX owner here. my next TV will be a QD-oled no question. LG has been too stagnant in tech progress since c9. qdoled is the next big thing no doubt. I need more impressions before investment, mainly on Sony's offering. Cause I can't wrap my head around Samsungs S95B's price tag while it excludes Dolby Vision. Dolby vision in games/movies is a game changer of its own
@@albie21121 I'm feeling the same way. My next OLED purchase will be a QD OLED as well. I would have went for it this year but I just bought a OLED in 2021. Plus to be honest I was surprised by the Samsung QD OLED coming out so fast. I didn't put away enough money to buy another TV so soon. But you never know maybe I can make some moves and get one but if I can't then definitely next year 2023.
@@michaelwyckoff7593 Its actually better to wait. Qdoled is brand new, will be perfected incrementally every new model/year. I hope Sony/samsung forced LG's hand on making qdoled's I bought my CX at top dollar, cause i missed the way cheaper C9 at the very end of its life cycle. It sucked cause CX didn't push enough envelope to justify the big price tag difference. As I said, LG has been stagnant. The diff's between C9, CX, C1, C2 are actually insulting. Esp. them not coming up with a solution for Auto dimming by now. Ad a heat sink already for petes sake lol
@@albie21121 I like your advice. I was a little upset when the Samsung QD OLED released because after hearing so much praising about the TV I wanted one badly. But I've calmed down now and I am gonna continue to like what I already have. I just got mad at some people who started trashing standard OLED WRGB OLED. I also have miniled TV's so I'm okay until I go for a QD OLED.
@@michaelwyckoff7593 I think the praise on the samsung is mostly because it comes in way cheaper then what most expected for new tech. But I understand that its pic quality and HDR brightness in colors are leaps and bounds over any LG oled too. so I'm def not trashing their offering. But does dolby vision matter to you? I'm primarily a gamer, then movies 2nd. But when next gen consoles will be supporting Dolby Vision to perfect the long standing issue with tone mapping, a TV for $3,000 must have Dolby vision support to be future proof. I can't understand why samsung's qdoled supports every format but Dolby vision for that price tag. I'm waiting for rtings review of Sony's A95k. To me the extra $1,000 for dolby vision is worth it as long as it outperforms samsungs in all other depts as well. Because you're buying future proofing as well. But its worth waiting for the price drop on A95K just when Sony's about to drop their 2nd gen qdoled. I hate how TV's cycle like this yearly to force your decision. Cause then there's the issue that "what if the 2nd gen qdoleds are a must buy cause of tech advancements." Then you're left scratching your head on what to do. Unless you're rich of course and can just buy whatever/whenever. That's def not me lmao.
Only reason I had to buy the c2 is because 42 is the smallest oled sure wish they'd make smaller for us truck drivers or travelers. I should've just gotten a TCL or Visio, maybe I'll return it when I get it.
@@frankderossi795 Yeah thought the same, the C1 does everything i need for now (see what's out next year) it's mostly used for gaming is the reason i bought one, probably same for many people lol
Some weird results here that do not line up with every other review i've seen. 6:06 HDTV Test said that the C2 has better gradients than the C1, especially at 4K 120Hz. 7:27 These response times look like they were taken without Boost mode enabled. Other tests have shown identical response times to the C1 with Game Optimiser + Boost. Maybe these are regional differences, like how the US version has more crushed blacks than the UK version, and it's a shame you don't test for this.
That definitely could be true, but unfortunately we don't currently measure gradients at 4k120hz. However, we understand this can be important to some users, so we're going to be looking at this in with our next test bench update. In the meantime though, we don't expect it to matter in all situations. In fact, we suspect it'll only matter on the transitions that have very very slight overshoot, as the response time will recover 4ms faster.... but only on those transitions. The ones that don't overshoot will likely be identical, so the difference in real content should basically be negligible.

I have a question. Would using a higher saturation around 75 or 80 create a higher risk of screen burn in or increased wear? Would it reduce the lifetime of pixels or is wear based mostly on the brightness of each pixel?

Hey Nichols, to avoid the burn in , how often do we need to change the content ? If I play a certain game for few hrs like 3 to 4 hrs , then do I need to change to another game ? How about the HUD elements ? Will it cause burn in too ? While watching movies , do the subtitles causes burn in's ?
There's no specific amount of time. If you just use your TV normally, switch up the content every so often, and avoid displaying static content for very long periods of time, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. As for subtitles, they do put you at an increased risk of burn in since it's static content, but it isn't guaranteed to cause burn-in.
Simple. Don't test burn your oled to see what happens and you will be fine. If your leaving your oled on static content for 5-10 hours at a time not good
I'm currently thinking about getting the 42" version of this TV as a PC monitor, since it's 35% off where I live... I read someone here writing that the 42" doesn't have the evo panel or something? I thought they were identical in terms of performance.
Hey Manny, we can confirm that Multi-View function is added in the C2 series, allowing you to choose between Picture-by-Picture (PbP) and Picture-in-Picture (PiP). So, if it's well received, it definitely could be something we start to see in more OLEDs!
Why is reflections 9.2? This is clearly not as good as QN90B, which is 9.1 QN90B: ua-cam.com/video/G-cL50zkThQ/v-deo.html C2: ua-cam.com/video/KWWR1Qz0WRI/v-deo.html Comparing both image reflections side by side, I think QN90B handled it better. C2 is almost like a mirror.
Thanks for the good question! To try and clear things up, it's important to note that they score similarly but for different reasons. The C2 has worse direct reflection (mirror-like), but handles indirect reflections better. So if you have lots of lights directly opposite the TV the C2 looks worse, but if you're just in a bright room without anything shining directly on the screen the QN90B looks better. The QN90B also looks a bit worse as it has rainbow smearing caused by the ultra viewing angle filter. Hope that helps!

its why i go to the "REAL" pro reviewers...theres "TOO" many feature sets for these tvs and aspects where certain featuresets/presets disable other's and vice versa which is IMO "CONDUCIVE" to these product variances....when in reality they can most likely be tuned to a similar setting/speed/image quality. Im only really looking at these 4k tvs as a monitor/gaming solution. HDTV test said theyll probably come in at a price premium like 42/48" near the same price....and given the price cuts of the CX/C1. I may go that route for my "NEEDS" but TMK it was supposed to be a "STRIPPED" G2 with the same panel/matrix etc...Sold at last years c1 price ranges. I mean they even changed their glass cutting to make more use of the mothersheet so idk why the 42" is coming in at such a high PP. Also the G2 has the "wall mounting" "gallery" aesthetic but thats more for long/range larger WIDTH display viewing etc IMO as a monitor i like the ability to still move the thing from time to time. The rear input is nicely oriented and visible for use vs UNDER XD or etc Or rear facing. But 1400$ for a 42" vs 1500$ for a 48" as the c1 is so low its a hard bargain i may consider it for 1200$ by q4 if it drops that low for blk friday

Hey there, Thanks for reaching out. We're happy to try and clear up some of your confusion, but it might help if you could provide us with specific examples. Thanks in advance for any additional information you can provide!
Do people really get a new tv every year? I was thinking my C1 was good for at least 5 years. Seems like a waste of money to upgrade every year, not to mention the hassle of selling the old one.
Some people do, in the same way that some people pick up the newest phone every year. It definitely isn’t necessary though and it isn’t something EVERYONE does. However, yes it does happen!
Yes, some do ... but tbh the annual improvements are usually marginal ... you won't be able to notice them with your eyes at all or only with a side-by-side comparison maybe. All these small annual improvements are summing up over the years finally making a noticeable difference ... so, your impression your C1 will be a fantastic tv for the next 5 years or more for your needs is 100% correct. The C1 doesn't get worse just because a C2 might show some small improvements ;-) I am doing the same: for 5 years now I am using a LG 65C7 from 2017 ... and I love it ... it still provides awesome pictures and an impressive HDR experience. This year is the very first year it seems to be worthwhile to replace the C7 with a G2 (for several reasons) ... so, yes I fully agree to your plan sticking with the C1 for 5 , 6 or 7 years ... resulting in maximised fun and minimised hazzle :-)
@@RTINGSdotcom I get the comparison to a cell phone on the surface, but it’s really not the same. Cell phone companies often times offer upgrades, meaning you aren’t paying the full price and or your paying over a period of time. Cell phones are much smaller in size and easier to sell. Upgrading a tv every year seems exhausting. You can almost guarantee your taking a nice hit on the money you paid for the tv, and a lot of people don’t want a used tv. Not to mention the annoyance of physically unloading the tv whether it be listing it for sale, lugging it somewhere, having a stranger show up to your house. The last tv I bought before the C1 was the Samsung KS8500 and the only reason I upgraded was because the KS8500 was a 55 inch and I wanted a larger tv. I could of lived with the KS8500 for another 5 years no problem. This all just seems ridiculous. I can see maybe 3 year upgrades but every year? Going from the C1 to C2 you have to be out your mind to “upgrade”.
Those who upgrade every year are probably just those with more money than they know what to do with. It's completely unnecessary & a waste of time & money as you say.

Is that little dent in the middle of the back panel normal? Look at 1:30. Right in the middle between the VESA screws. You can also see it from other angles. Mine has the same thing.
Since we've only bought and tested one unit, we can't say for sure if it's normal for every unit. But if yours also has the same thing, then it's likely at least somewhat common!
What about the Elephant in the room....a glaring issue that very rarely gets talked about --> There's a MASSIVE problem when upscaling from a cable/streamed source --> the source resolution/quality RARELY matches it's description for the majority of consumers - critically, when you upscale a poor quality source, you get a poor quality result !!! Crucial concepts:- 1) Upscaling magnifies issues with the source. 2) Poor quality = anything below broadcasters stated specs on the source in relation to what you will actually receive (they commonly don't match). 3) The video compression in these broadcasts is, very often, extremely aggressive, commonly to compensate for the end-user's non-optimal bandwidth. All this, of course, is mitigated if you have the original source at home e.g. Blu Ray purchase / purchased verified download
Hey Alexis, Thanks for taking the time to share all of this information with us. I'll make sure to pass this along to our display team to consider making any necessary changes on our end!

Can you give us an update if Sony has moved the bandwidth to 40 or 48gbps on ps5? Is important to know if we have to buy the C2 (48gbps) or can go with cheaper C1 or G1 which are only 40gbps and if could be enough for PS5 future firmware updates(12bit covarage) etc ..
As far as we know, it's still 40gbps but we really don't know for sure. If you want a bit more certainty, you could try reaching out to the manufacturer who will hopefully be able to offer more insight. Sorry we couldn't offer more certainty!
LG improved their own SOC to now cover the full bandwidth of 48gbps on C2 and G2. Nevertheless it is almost impossible to benefit from more than 40gbps because no tv out there has a 12bit panel ... and only 12bit is what makes these 48gbps necessary. Even if you use a powerful pc or a potential 12bit PS5 (which I very much doubt will happen) and use the full 48gbps ... the tv has to bring it down to 10bit again ... and you gained precisely nothing compared to 40gbps and 10bit transfer ... you even may have increased input lag slightly for the time the 12bit to 10bit conversion will take.
You can read our in-depth comparison between both models here: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-a90j-oled-vs-lg-c2-oled/21565/31229?usage=1&threshold=0.10 This should clear things up, but if you have any questions after looking at it, don't hesitate to reach out again!

I was actually going to get the c2. looked at a review for that as well.. The c2 does better at that white box moving thing, has picture and picture (idk if it's still 4k there, if so does that part of the screen have that many pixels and) and i think it supports wide screen resolution under 4k which cuts the top and bottom parts of the screen. I ended up getting the c1. A 48 inch model is what i could fit and it was more easy on the wallet. There was a review already for retro gaming comparing the c1 with c2. That the 4:3 ratio adds a bit more lag and to get the c1 instead. I use one of those boxes to play the retro games. It could very well be fixed with a update. I also have the PlayStation 5 which is pretty good. I noticed a blue tint at the far side of the viewing angle. Only with white background. Mostly the beige white that a web browser provides. I do notice the default web browser has a black theme by default and the picture portrait provided by lg is a more bright pure white that isn't noticeable of the blue tint. a tad thou. I sit here hoping it will go away. it was bother sum at first. I think it's better now. hopefully over time and ware it will go away. If not maybe ill go with another type of TV. By then the other type of TV's will catch up most likely. I will take the loss if it's still as bad as i took it out of the packaging. The colors are nice. The blacks are very black, didn't care much then. It's a selling feature then so i am going with it. Also went with the higher end model for HDMI 2.1 for the PlayStation 5. For computer mode you gotta set it to PC mode. I noticed just fit option is blacked out. So there is over scan going on. The text of a folder can go pretty close if cut off the text. It's not a big deal. Cyberpunk looking nice. The nion lights pop. IDK. maybe next time ill spend more time looking at the TV on display. Try to get for a Sony. The x90j didn't get a high enough review to look at that for the size, Sony's top TV was for a bigger size. They should just go with all the sizes. I do think each brand has it's own look. Had a bunch of branded TV's since i started working. Samsung, TCL, now lg. Seems ok. Hope for many years and just hope nothing happens to it. No burn in please. It was to costly for me. They made me work extra hours so i went with the top rated TV.
That tint i see could very be to make the tv have a more 3d effect. I bet. It's not to bad anymore. Getting better. I let it not bother me. Whatever. Till ps6.
The C1 supposedly has terrible stutter in films, while the C2 seems to be a significant improvement in that matter, and its interpolation options also seem to be better too, solving stutter without causing soap opera effect.

Hey Victor, It can be incredibly difficult to predict pricing trends, so we really can't say unfortunately. It could go down in the future, but it may take a while for that to happen. Sorry about that!
well, I think their feedback is great but we should also give credit to rtings for doing such comprehensive tests. Of course, their tests will never be perfect; none of us thought that OLEDs push white light until QD OLEDs came along🙂 Now we're all screaming that the WOLED panels are pushing white light!
Yes he have! We've been in touch with them actually and we're hoping to connect with one another. At the end of the day, we can all help each other do a better job, so we're looking forward to further interacting with them! :)
Hi rtings, really enjoy your reviews, i got a question, in my area , C1 is $5112 C2 is $6165 and A90J is $4360, all in 83". price is not like in US. so in this case should i just get the A90J since there is a massive price difference? I mainly use this tv for PS5 gaming/lite use for movies. thanks a lot !
At that price point, if you're looking to go the more cost-efficient route, definitely go for the A90J. At the end of the day, these are all excellent TVs so you shouldn't be disappointed either way, but that's a pretty substantial price difference and the cost likely isn't going to be worth it for most people!
@@RTINGSdotcom Thanks, yeah thats what i thought, LG's bigger sizes price are crazy in my area. and G2 83" is even worse, cost around 15Kusd. so i think i will go with A90j since new A95K does have 83"
What is the thickness of the screen borders? ¼inch, ⅛ inch? Have the vizio m series dolby atmos soundbar which is 2¾ inches tall. Just seeing if it would fit under the TV with the extra border before it block the actual picture
This would be the distances from the bottom of the table/stand to the screen/display. 7cm to bottom of display 5.5cm to bottom of screen And the borders are 0.28" (0.7 cm) Hope this helps!
The 65" model we tested has a glossy finish, so we expect the 83" model to have a glossy finish as well (though we can't say for sure as we haven't tested it).
Chances are slim to none but if it does come back due to the success of avatar in imax 3D than it will most likely be a feature on 8K tvs. If you type 8K 3D no glasses tv on UA-cam you can see prototype tvs at CES that found that the pixel density of 8K improves the immersion of 3D.
It's a beautiful tv but lately ive notced a pop or cracking sound from somewhere at the back of the panel. Mostly at the hdmi ports possibly. I hear it about 15 minutes after turning it on, then abot 30mins to an hour after tbat. Anyone else have this problem?
I have the Sony A80J. I'm almost ready to give up on OLED. HDR is useless because it's too dim. Sports is useless because it auto-dims 2-3 minutes in and becomes murky looking. Will I notice a real improvement in brightness with this TV? And is it true that LG only dims static images like graphics in sports whereas Sony dims the whole screen?
Hey Ryan! What you're seeing is likely the ASBL on the TV (which is causing the screen to dim). Sony OLEDs are the worst for ASBL. On LG TVs, you can adjust it, and even disable it completely from the service menu if that's something you're comfortable doing. So, the C2 is likely a better option for you!
This TV just blew my mind. I knew it was going to look good, but not like this. It's so refreshing to finally get a product that I can say is worth every single penny.

Sadly there is no G2 available in those sizes. Hate these oversized TVs.

I'm still rocking my E7. I watch only 4K UHD discs and UA-cam videos, and the TV still has gorgeous picture quality.

Lg mixed panels
That definitely could be true, but unfortunately we don't currently measure gradients at 4k120hz. However, we understand this can be important to some users, so we're going to be looking at this in with our next test bench update. In the meantime though, we don't expect it to matter in all situations. In fact, we suspect it'll only matter on the transitions that have very very slight overshoot, as the response time will recover 4ms faster.... but only on those transitions. The ones that don't overshoot will likely be identical, so the difference in real content should basically be negligible.

As for OLEDs, we do expect the newer OLEDs to do a better job preventing burn-in, but we're just not sure 'how much' better it is. That said, this brought up interesting internal discussions, and we're actually talking about potentially doing a new burn-in test with more recent TVs!
Love the Canadian accent eh :)
Brings back a lot of good memories.
Dts-x if you select pass-through and have a receiver connected on the other end
Is there any reason why rtings dont review Philips and Panasonic tv's ?
Yes! We currently only buy and review products that are available for in the US and these TVs aren't. If that changes though, we'll definitely consider testing them as we know they're important to a lot of users! :)
it's a known fact 42" and 48" c2 are not as bright as bigger models
Is there a specific reason why you guys don't show videos in your reviews?
What sort of videos are you hoping to see?
Why is rting's input lag measurements different from other reviewers?
Are there specific reviewers you're referring to? We'd love to look into this for you!
Wow it's been about 5-6 years since I got the 65Cpua. How much better is the picture quality? Is it worth the money. I have the original , Pioneer Elite which was mind-blowing in it's time . I wonder how this ranks

Do you guys also have a weird dirty overlay when using real cinema on SDR content? I’ve noticed it on streaming apps.
It’ll show up over an hour or so, but to reproduce immediately disable quick start( so the tv fully reboots) then restart the tv and start up some sdr content.
I used breaking bad and supernatural.
Hey!
We touched based with our testers to confirm, but it isn't something we noticed during our testing. If it was, we definitely would have mentioned it in the full review on our website. Sorry about that!
@rtings you have mentioned about the pink tint on both sides. Does it go away over time or is there any setting we can do in the TV?

I just purchased a 77' C2 because of your review. Does RTINGS have a setup video for the C2 when it comes to all the picture modes and settings to apply for best possible picture?
We don't have a video at the moment, but we do have a settings page! www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/c2-oled/settings
@@RTINGSdotcom Thank you. Do you believe this TV needs professional calibration or should that be unnecessary?
OLEDs dont need 1,000 nits of brightness due to the infinite contrast. With infinite contrast you can get pretty good HDR even with 700 nits or so.
Hello.
What would you choose? C2 or Panasonic JZ980?
Thank you.
We haven’t tested the Panasonic JZ980 so we really can’t say how it compares. Without having our own data we don’t feel comfortable speculating and risk giving out incorrect information. Sorry about that!
@@RTINGSdotcom thank you very much.
Can I ask you another question?
QN85A/90A or LG C1? Mostly for movies from streaming or Blu-ray/flash disks. Hard to choose for me.
Thank you.
If your leaving your oled on static content for 5-10 hours at a time not good
I just purchased a C2 as a replacement through Best Buy. Going to pick it up tomorrow. Is the pink tinting an issue I should be worried about?
I hope the replacement worked out for you.
I'm currently thinking about getting the 42" version of this TV as a PC monitor, since it's 35% off where I live... I read someone here writing that the 42" doesn't have the evo panel or something? I thought they were identical in terms of performance.
We actually bought and tested the 42'' variant as a monitor, so feel free to check out the review here: www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/42-c2-oled
Is there a noticeable difference in brightness between C2 and G1 while viewing real world content ? Im looking to buy a discounted G1.
Yes, we recorded over 422 nits for the C2 an 294 nits for the G1 when it comes to real scene peak brightness!
Hey, rtings tcl c825 review?
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be available for purchase in the US, so we won't be able to buy and review it at this time. Sorry about that!
Worth upgrading to this from the CX?
If you're comfortable financially and love good
tv tech, yes. Otherwise no, your CX is still a fantastic TV.
How about the PIP feature. Will all OLEDs have this feature?
Hey Manny, we can confirm that Multi-View function is added in the C2 series, allowing you to choose between Picture-by-Picture (PbP) and Picture-in-Picture (PiP). So, if it's well received, it definitely could be something we start to see in more OLEDs!
Why is reflections 9.2? This is clearly not as good as QN90B, which is 9.1
QN90B: ua-cam.com/video/G-cL50zkThQ/v-deo.html
C2: ua-cam.com/video/KWWR1Qz0WRI/v-deo.html
Comparing both image reflections side by side, I think QN90B handled it better.
Best buy rigt now is C1 from last year, with all clerance pricing.....
Hi. TCL C835 mini LED or LG OLED C21 for PC FPS Gaming ? (Dark room) Thx.
2 month ago I bought 48C1 for around 880 EUR. Now the 42C2 costs more than 1200 EUR LOL
I am buying a TV and the choice is between C2 65" and G2 65". The price difference is €350. I think it's funny how in real content the c2 ans g2 look almost identical. Everyone has confirmed this. I don't get how your measuents on the g2 are 200+ more nits then everyone else's readings something is wrong there. Again the g2 looks like the c2 ans the measurements you got on the c2 is what people are getting on the g2 also. Much more accurate tbh.
its why i go to the "REAL" pro reviewers...theres "TOO" many feature sets for these tvs and aspects where certain featuresets/presets disable other's and vice versa which is IMO "CONDUCIVE" to these product variances....when in reality they can most likely be tuned to a similar setting/speed/image quality.
@@anhiirr tbh I rpeferee the depth on the c1. It had a more pleasing look imo out of the lg tvs. Due to not overbrightening snd not having as much dilution at the top end. Yes some colors are nicely saturated on the c2 and g2 but there is a look the c1 had for lg tvs that imo may of been there best.
"ans" x2

I see some categories got 9 scores and better than 35% of the TV tested and some categories get 7score but better than 80% of TV tested, I am kind confused
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out.
The C1 doesn't get worse just because a C2 might show some small improvements ;-)
I am doing the same: for 5 years now I am using a LG 65C7 from 2017 ... and I love it ... it still provides awesome pictures and an impressive HDR experience.
Will you guys be reviewing the new M27Q-P? Apparently it fixes the BGR issues, but definitely curious to see how else it's improved
Hey Eddie,
We don't have any current plans to buy and review this product.
However, it's on our suggestion list, so if there's enough interest at any point, we'll happily buy and review it!
Still enjoying my C8 in 77 Inches...
As long as you're still happy with it, that's the important part!
What table do you guys use to swivel the TV (0:42)? It's exactly what I need to switch orientations between my desk and couch.
This isn't something we bought unfortunately, it was something we made in house!
Love to find that photo of the car and have that as a background.
Most of the backgrounds used in our reviews/product reviews are taken from our photographer!
Thinking about buying the 42” for my room
It's definitely an interesting option, so let us know if you have any questions!
"no sponsor, no ads, no paid promotion in video. Affilate links to purchase in description" I mean you get loads of money when someone buys through an affilate link so i dont really understand the point
Definitely a valid concern. On our end, the point we're trying to stress is that we have the same buying experience as any regular user would. So, we make sure to buy all of our own products and don't accept any sort of demo, sample, or review units. We also don't accept any sort of incentives in exchange for a favourable review or recommendation. However, the affiliate links are one of the ways we can continue doing what we doing and that's thanks to everyone's support, which we really appreciate. Hope that clears things up a bit but let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!
C1 sucked hard in terms of low bitrate upscaling
Sound isnt that great either
The pedestal stand was incredible my fav actually
Other than that it awesome
So i wanna ask if LG has done something for upscaling quality?!
Not much. C1 is still a better buy at $1600-1699 than the $2500 C2 for sure
@@PCGGC nah its not
Terrible upscaling
Dirtier screen overall
Less bright
More agressive ABL
However the stand option is better on the C1 than C2
It looks generic and boring now
considering how well phones are at doing this...paying for a "premium" marketed etc product i can understand the issue...but im getting it mostly to game single player/pve looters...or stream HD content or sports etc....while i game on a smaller monitor so its not going to be a dealbreaker for me...though i can understand why for others.
It sucked in comparison to which other tvs?
@@anhiirr
Fair enough
Enjoy your purchase
Its a stellar tv not gonna lie
With some quirks here and there
Is that little dent in the middle of the back panel normal? Look at 1:30. Right in the middle between the VESA screws. You can also see it from other angles. Mine has the same thing.
Since we've only bought and tested one unit, we can't say for sure if it's normal for every unit. But if yours also has the same thing, then it's likely at least somewhat common!
What about the Elephant in the room....a glaring issue that very rarely gets talked about -->
There's a MASSIVE problem when upscaling from a cable/streamed source --> the source resolution/quality RARELY matches it's description for the majority of consumers - critically, when you upscale a poor quality source, you get a poor quality result !!!
Crucial concepts:-
1) Upscaling magnifies issues with the source.
Hey Alexis,
Thanks for taking the time to share all of this information with us. I'll make sure to pass this along to our display team to consider making any necessary changes on our end!
What are the benefits or upgrades of the C2 compared to the Samsung Q80B? Also, does the C2 have Chromecast installed?

Can you give us an update if Sony has moved the bandwidth to 40 or 48gbps on
ps5?
Please tell me more compared to a90j. For real world experience in brightness , color volume and detail?
You can read our in-depth comparison between both models here: www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-a90j-oled-vs-lg-c2-oled/21565/31229?usage=1&threshold=0.10
This should clear things up, but if you have any questions after looking at it, don't hesitate to reach out again!
@@RTINGSdotcom I just read it. I see you mentioned the picture is nearly identical but talk about tone mapping and some banding issues on the c2. Would you consider the A90J even close to being worth it over the c2 if you just consider watching it? Or would you realistically not notice much at all in a dark room?
Whatever.
Till ps6.
The C1 supposedly has terrible stutter in films, while the C2 seems to be a significant improvement in that matter, and its interpolation options also seem to be better too, solving stutter without causing soap opera effect.

have you seen the criticism of your testing methodology from classy, fomo and ningician?
well, I think their feedback is great but we should also give credit to rtings for doing such comprehensive tests.
@@RTINGSdotcom Thanks, yeah thats what i thought, LG's bigger sizes price are crazy in my area. and G2 83" is even worse, cost around 15Kusd. so i think i will go with A90j since new A95K does have 83"

impressive improvements over my C6 from 2016. When 3D comes back to OLEDs I will be ready to upgrade
3D ain't coming back.
If you can ... keep the C6 for 3D ... and get a C2 or G2 for the latest level of picture quality and more impressive HDR...
@@marcuscole8796 Doubt it's more impressive than an Edid Overrided C6 that presents 60/60 fps 3D. Essentially it is forced to do 2160@120 in 3D
3D is probably not coming back anytime soon. I personally loved it.
So, the C2 is likely a better option for you!
will the c2 prices go down in 2023 i think c2 better because of brighter screen c1 was way too dim
We can never really say for sure what pricing trends will be, but logic would dictate that as it gets older, the price will drop a bit!
