    I'll be interested in the long term tests. My second LG OLED just failed after only 20 months and I'm not at all happy about it. The first one lasted about 3 years before it developed a green spot in the middle which I've read is from the main board getting hot. Now this one just had a white line suddenly appear just to the left of center of the screen. Tried all the troubleshooting steps to no avail. Called local LG repair facility and was quoted over $1500 to replace the panel. Apparently new LG TVs have a 2 year warranty, but mine only had a 1 year. Very disappointed, LG.

      I upgrade my TV every 2 years, so if it lasts 20 months without any issues, that's a solid run. Unlike CRTs, these modern TVs are meant to be replaced every few years-they’re essentially disposable. They're not built with user-serviceable parts like the old CRTs used to be.

    I have LG C3 77". For PC gaming, there is a known issue with LG OLED displays losing the G-Sync handshake when used as a PC monitor under specific conditions, such as the PC entering sleep mode. The Windows + Ctrl + Shift + B shortcut to restart the GPU driver doesn't fix the G-Sync handshake. Any news on LG's upcoming firmware update to resolve this issue? Meanwhile , I found a Step-by-Step guide on Reddit on how to quickly restore Nvidia G-Sync handshake with LG OLED displays using the Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) to restart the Nvidia GPU without having to restart the PC every time.

    I've never bought a TV over $400, but when I walked past the oled c3, I was absolutely mesmerized. A tv has never done that to me, I've always been basic but damn. I'm getting it on cyber Monday and its going straight into my window sill to create a total movie theater vibe. edit: So I bought the Sony bravia xr A80L and it's very glitchy. I've had to Uninstall hulu 3 times cuz it wouldn't open. The tv has crashed a few times and twice ive had to unplug it entirely to reboot it cuz it wouldn't turn on. I've only had it for a month. What happens is when you try and set a scheduled recording with BBC1 or BBC2 it gives a message: unable to set new scheduled recording, try again. It records BBC 1 and BBC2 standard definition ok and every other channel so really confused. Had the latest software, no joy. This is the second C3 the first one would not tune frewiew channel 100. Great video! Is there a B3 review coming? I checked the website and I could only find reviews for the B2. The B3 is on super sale right now ($2k for the 77", a few hundred cheaper the the same sized B2) and it would be useful to compare the B3 to the , C3, C2 and even B2 to see if it really is just a great deal, or if LG has a reason to move the B3 at a cheaper price because of some kind of performance issue.
    One thing I noticed about the B3 is that, apparently, the response time is slower than the B2. On LGs website, the B3 response time is listed as ">1 ms" while the B2 response time is "< 1 ms". Not sure why the newer generation with an upgraded processor would have a slower response time. Maybe it is a typo, maybe not. Regardless, it is concerning that the B3 seems to be a downgrade from the B3 in this regard. If the B3 response time really is >1 ms, it would be very interesting to know what the average and range of the response time is.

Especially for BRIGHT UA-cam, cable tv, talk shows, sports life stream. S90C, U8K , A95L all have 9/10 color volume(ratings) , C3 is like 7.8/10 or something , their color is pestle . I've got a few questions. I don't think that you mentioned anything about near black chrominance overshoot? Is that still an issue with WOLED TVs? It's probably the worst thing about my otherwise great LG C9 Oled from 2019. I also noticed that you didn't list "NO DOLBY VISION" as a Samsung S90C drawback. For me, not supporting Dolby Vision is a dealbreaker. All the major streaming services support it, not HDR10+ which is the Samsung "standard"...That nobody uses...just like Bixby!

      @@uusrikas I appreciate your comment. It's no surprise that you prefer the HDR performance of your Samsung S95B as compared to your LG B9 and Philips OLED855. Both the B9 and OLED855 are very good TVs. But, their peak brightness, about 800 nits for the Phillips and about 550 nits for the B9 LG is noticeably below the 1000 nits peak brightness of your S95B. The brighter TV will almost always have better subjective HDR performance regardless of whether it has Dolby Vision or not. • @RTINGSdotcom
      @RTINGSdotcom  10 місяців тому

      Hey there! Stutter is caused by a TV’s fast response time and has nothing to do with the quality of the content. There will be the same amount of stutter on the C3 with content in 480p as there is with content in 4k if they are both in the same frame rate. The faster the response time, the more stutter there will be. Since OLEDs have a near-instantaneous response time, stutter is more noticeable on them than other TVs. Sound is not good? What are you talking about? Everyone's raving about Sony A95L's sound, and I'm telling you, A95L's is barely ok, while LG C3 (with the AI feature) has deep, warm, and rumbling bass, and a great spatial feel to it. I'm returning the A95L mostly because I prefer C3's more toned-down picture, but the sound is also a factor. It's also probably the reason why I'm not going to try the Samsung S90C - I've already had the S95C (which I've returned due to signal drops), and the sound was the worst of the three.
    Also, what are you talking about regarding Game Mode not affecting quality on the C3? The Game Optimiser mode is the most drab and colourless mode of all, and you can't compensate for it with settings. I play in Standard mode and it's ok; in fact at times it looks better that the A95L due to better shadow handling, giving the picture a more 3D feel.

      Do you keep your C9 in standby mode? It needs to be to do the pixel refresh. This helps prevent burn in. I have a G2 and thrash it and no sign of burn in what so ever.

    Hey, Does it have a RGB/W pixel structure or just RGB.
    And by the way i think you have some errors on the website regarding the cheaper Lcd RGBW Tv Panels like those from LG where it say's that the pixels are formed like RGB first and WRG second, BWR third, GBW fourth and not like RGBW first, RGBW second and tirdh and so on wich you get like 2880px like that on 2160 Horizontal rows. Otherwhy how it could produce colours those pixels with just two colours in it and the white pixel wich only helps with the lighting that produced colour. And second rows are are deviated two pixels to left like in pen tile alingnement from Oled Smartphones display's and on Tv's could be diferent but you only can have RGB pixels or RGBW (more 3840 or less 2880 of them) was my point of discusion about this subject regarding the reviews of such TV's on your website.

    • @Denvshvnfpw53831
      @Denvshvnfpw53831 Рік тому

      And yea in such case those Tv's won't be (3840px and almost) 4K resolution but only (2880px and almost) 3K ReSoLUtIOn but it still makes more sense than those kind of three subpixels described.😂😅😊

      @@RTINGSdotcom Hello, i don't need this for me only it's just that reading about that on your website it doesen't make sense somehow, like how how an WRG and the other three kinds of pixels could not make many of the colours needed to represent stuff on screen!😅🙂🎉

    What do we know about this in terms of durability and repairability? There really is no point in getting a product this expensive if it breaks as soon as the warranty runs out. You essentially end up paying it twice if you want to extend its lifespan. My BX died with less than 1000k hours of use, likely due to a board issue that affected past models too. LG decided to defer any responsibility and the service shops are very reluctant to try and fix it. 1500-2000 dollars for a sparsely used product that the vendor considers disposable, arrogantly so, seems messed up. If you can afford to drop money this casually you probably can afford a more durable, better brand.

    Hard to believe someone would buy this TV & not have a receiver or better for sound. Lucas said "SOUND IS HALF THE PICTURE" several decades ago! Even the best soundbars pale in comparison to even a Walmart HTIB!
