Hey Patrick I wanted to mention I've seen a lot of your videos and I've had success in my life although it wasn't to do with making a ton of money but at the time when I started watching your videos I had absolutely nothing and I didn't feel like I even wanted to go back into the workforce I just want to go into the woods and hide because I was kind of sick of society in general but you gave me something back that I felt like I had lost and that was hope meaning that you're very inspiring. It just goes to show with the right mindset anybody can accomplish anything not anybody can do everything that everybody else can do and maybe perhaps not everybody is cut out to be a millionaire but just the basic message even taking all the business stuff out just a philosophy of what you say Rings true.

Patrick, I love the video's. They have been great entertainment, but more importantly I've learned so many things that are helping me on this journey we're on. Thanks buddy, P.S., try to get an interview with Mark Levin, conservative radio host, Fox TV show host, constitutional lawyer.

Some notes on this video. Gonna read through that stuff again and again.
    Work-Ethic is a given. It's not a Skill, it's a mentality!
    Being resourceful!
    1. Persuasion
    - Persuade YOURSELF!
    - Persuade family that they are going to become a millionaire/entrepreneur
    - Persuade Wife, Husband, Kids, Parents.
    - Persuade Investors, Employees, Vendors, Partners, Manufacturers.
    - Persuade customers why product is so special and should be bought.
    - Learn how to sell (persuasion in negotiation)
    2. Reading People
    - Customers
    - What will they need 5 years from now.
    - Reading people when in selling.
    - Reading when you fucked up and see the reaction of someone.
    - Reading and understanding body language.
    - Anticipating when someone is "full of it" and not to be trusted.
    3. Sharing the Wealth
    - Every time you make money, everybody makes money.
    - With that mentality and sharing the wealth, everybody always wants to do business with you because we all get richer.
    4. Leverage
    - The sooner you learn that you can do more with a team and leverage your time you will grow and scale faster.
    - Delegate (what to delegate and what not to)
    - Crowd-Sourcing (asking people, getting feedback, etc.)
    - And doing so with a range of people and not just asking tech things to tech people.
    - Team, Recruiting, Software, Hardware, Equipment, Sales, Marketing, Branding, Collaboration, etc.
    5. Recruiting
    - You always are recruiting, no matter if it's employees, a partner in business, a company to do something for you, etc.
    - Finding the right person or company for the job is difficult, try, see if it works, and switch if necessary.
    - You are even recruiting your peer-group, friends, and contacts. Make sure they are high value, motivated, driven, and have big goals and visions.
    - Recruiting the best mentors and coaches.
    - Recruiting an advisory board.
    - Recruiting Investors and Business Partners.
    - Networking is absolutely important.
    6. Energy Management
    - No Energy Drinks, Coffee.
    - How can I keep my energy high?
    - Stand up and walk while working.
    - How can you go longer and work harder?
    - Fitness, workout routine?
    - Diet!
    - How to go with little to no sleep?
    - How to stay focused, sharp, and alert?
    7. How to Process Issues
    - Learn how to problem solve!
    - Find the 1,2,3 step process to get to the goal with an action plan.
    - Saying NO is incredibly important while at it!
    - Which areas are worth the investment? 80/20 rule?
    8. Time Management
    - Keep Procrastination under Control?
    - Self Discipline!
    - Selling, Selling, Selling, Prospecting, Creating the Product, Marketing, Networking, Relationship Building.
    - How to make a 30 minute phone call in 10 minutes?
    - How to give good instructions!
    - How to send quick messages - to the point!
    - Also know when to not put a timer on because it is more about the relationship.
    - Keeping a Schedule and having a Plan for the Week/Day/Month/Year!
    9. How to Manage Money
    - Everything is Risk/Reward
    - How can you spend money and make more by doing so?
    - What's an investment and what is not?
    - When you have cash you can make decisions.
    - Moderator: did not buy a house for 5 years when building a company because 300.000 down payment was more valuable in the company to grow to 6 million than the monthly expense of renting.
    - Know when to buy and when to rent or lease.
    10. How to be aggressively Patient
    - You're aggressive and pushing everything forward - openly.
    - But psychologically you are completely relaxed in knowing: "EVERYTHING IS GOING TO WORK OUT PERFECTLY"
    - Don't ever STOP because that's when the dreams collapse and you stop living!
    - When you are pushing, you plant 100 new seeds per week. You just know, those seeds will yield results. It may not be now. It may take 4 years. But when it does explode, it's going to be good.
    11. Learning
    - How can I make x better?
    - And X can be anything: business, marketing, fitness, health, networking, connections, hiring, optimization, processes, mindset, etc.
    - How can I break the record set last month/week/year?
    - How can we do more than ever before?
    - Beginners Mindset
    - You have never learned everything, there is always someone with more information / knowledge / experience than you do!
    - Improving compared to prior best!
    - How can I improve my relationship building?
    - How can I connect better with women, men, groups, public speaking, networking events, in person, younger, older, successful, poor, etc.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

@@ChrisWilliams-kq9qqdude. Max out an IRA every year. 6 grand a year get an advisor to help you pick the stocks you wanna buy. If you can’t find 6 extra grand a year. You need to become more skilled. Those guys who fix toilets make 40-50 hour. Thatll be enough to invest extra money. If you still can’t you need to stop spending money so much. Or we can just give up. I’m poor and miserable just like you. But every last cent I can I’m investing. Don’t sell the stock when the market tanks! It will go back up it always has, and if it doesn’t, the world as we know would be collapsing so it don’t even matter!

Great video. We are all seeking for financial independence and a better way of life. This is not difficult to achieve with savvy investing, a frugal lifestyle, and cautious budgeting. I'm glad I learned early on to work hard for financial independence. As Warren Buffet said, he has seen this happen many times in his life. Not an investor. My husband and i never earned more than a middle class salary. We plan to get retired at 58 with a stock portfolio worth $4M. We have never sold so much as one share of stock

Most newbies don't understand the power of compound interest or are just impatient. However, for the average Joe, I think it's better to invest in the S&P 500 and wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long: many years. Or just use an investment advisor and speed up your wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

I also wish to create new jobs opportunities to help people to live happily without financial burden, its my responsibility as an entrepreneur to ensure it :) Thanks for the video, i'm lovin it! :)))

The biggest skill that wasn't mentioned but can be expressed in the others is RESOURCEFULNESS. Meaning you find a way to make it happen. You don't say "I can't do that" you say "how can I do it?" and then you come up with lots of ideas on how to do it, ask other people for help (and if you're resourceful you know how to get useful & believable help/information for free or little expense) and then you implement, learn, adjust, and repeat. If you have a GOAL and you're RESOURCEFUL & ADAPTABLE then it's a just a matter of time till you get there.

About 5 years ago I sat down to create leadership/personal development system that I could package and give to my students. After many iterations it is now known as the NpLS or Neo-pragmatic Leadership System. The first 2 of the 4 components of the NpLS are: Influence through proper communication, or as you called it here, PERSUASION. And Reading signals of emotion in body language, or reading people. It's good to see other successful people thinking like me. Thank you. This video has renewed my drive - and while this may be a result of confirmation bias - I will take it.

Sleep is indeed very important, but it is possible that you need more of it because of an unhealthy lifestyle. I sleep more when I eat and drink sugary things. I sleep better during the night when I don't consume sugar and generally feel more energized during the day. Physical exercise also helps. Not to mention deficiencies such as iron or Vitamin D. Health is one factor definitely worth checking out to decrease your hours of sleep in a _healthy_ way.

    • @NathanOosthuizen
      @NathanOosthuizen 6 років тому +1

Agreed. You recent studies have shown how too little sleep is really harmful to the body. Get to sleep, unwind, and make sure every productive hour is actually productive and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in a day. Regular breaks too, very important neurologically so that you can keep your mind sharp.

#9 (my opinion) Instead of vacations, or not taking vacations (two different extremes) I think millionaires find ways to enjoy their wealth and prosperity while being productive. Running ads on vacation by the beach, putting a mini golf course in your office, going to a base ball game with a big customer. You got to make work life more than the everyday monotony. We create wealth so we can enjoy a better lifestyle. But multi millionaires Know how to make work life super exciting! Millionaires don't get off work, even while their not necessarily working.
