I wish more videos were like this. No long intro, no huge explanation or talking about unrelated stuff, just a good straight to the point how to video. Thanks for taking the time and the great demonstration!

THANK you!!! Like most the others, got caught on a "no rain" day and there was about 2 inches of water on the floors. I soaked it up with towels because i didn't know where to find those allusive 'drain plugs'. Now i know where to find them AND how to remove the carpet. Awesome!
thanks for posting this. I just got a 2005 Wrangler X. I didn't have to cut or tear the carpet - it came right out perfectly. Your directions were helpful.
I watched this just after dynamating my floors and replacing my carpet. There is an all carpet formed headliner now for the hardtops... i didnt transform my jeep into a luxury vehicle but I can hold a conversation driving 70 down the highway without pulling over now lol
I completely removed all my carpet, plastic pieces, and rear seat. Covered the wires with plastic wire loom. Much easier to clean and for me and no smelly, damp carpet; the look is also more military/utilitarian. I like to keep things simple :)
Such a bummer with the leaks. Got a new Willys and found my driver door leaks. Everything else was bone dry except for that one area. Trying to get Chrysler to try to fix it...fingers crossed.
pretty sure the seals near the A-pillar were just not connecting all the way. Easy fix that i could have done but the Jeep is still under warranty so chose the "free" route.
Thank you for posting this video. A couple days ago I got caught in a down pour of rain (weather said no rain lol). I want to take the carpet out and finish drying it and didn't know how till now. It has been sunny since then and I went all open on jeep so it is drying good but forgot to check under rubber mats and carpet is still wet. Q.1, can I put the carpet in the washer machine? Q.2, What did you use for a sound deadener?
I just removed the factory carpet kit and only had to make two very small cuts in driver's side front and passenger's side; I did have to remove some plastic bolts to make it easier to make those small cut or I'd be making a four to six-inch cut instead of an appx. one inch. Make the cut on the driver's side by the front left where the seat is bolted to the floor and the same on the front right. The rear passenger seat kit came up all at once as did the rear cargo carpet. The two carpets over the rear wheel wells came out easily. I'm going to look for a rubber kit because this carpet is disgusting! Too many years of kids spilling cokes, dog hair, and requisite mud and sand. I had the same sick feeling when my ex-husband pulled up our carpets in CA; I thought I'd die! There's so much crap under there. I didn't have to remove any putty substance at all. Only thing that stuck to the floor is a little of the heat insulation pad on driver's side front because I'm sure I dumped a soda there, too. Not to mention the requisite soft-top leak that bugs the crap out of me. Thanks for the video. If anyone has a link to a good price for an all-rubber type floor kit I'd rather have that! I'm going gold panning in the hills and I do not want to deal with this nasty carpet business. I take my dogs everywhere so I really wish there were better hose-down alternatives to carpet! I might go the route of some kind of fat spray on liner; that would be my preference for sure.
No leaky horror stories but my dog got car sick and vomited like crazy. Will definitely be taking all the seats out to do this tho. It's about time for a deep clean anyway. Probably a plethora of dirt and shit under it.

Dude, you can totally unscrew the plastic discs you pry'd off with a screw driver by simply twisting them counter clockwise
Thanks for the video! I got caught in a rainstorm and had no idea what to do. New jeep owner.
me too - thanks for the video!! exactly what i was looking for. Id thank the people giving advice about the clips if they weren't so mean about it.

Thanks for posting. I have the Bestop soft doors. They leak like a sieve, which is why I'm here watching your video.

Caught in my first rainstorm with the top off yesterday, this video helped a bunch ripping my soggy carpet out. Thanks!
Remember the fasters... 2 in the foot well on each side and one under each seat that connects the front/back carpeting.
Thank you for taking the time out to do this

you have no idea how helpful this is
those clips screw off???? at least mine did...
D rings on the roof mount bolts, brilliant! Thanks for the vid
Don't be lazy and remove the seats, someone replaced the carpet in my Jeep by ripping it constantly untucks when you move your feet
Thanks! Just got stuck in a pretty decent mud pit and water got in! Time to air out that carpet!

I thought about doing the same with carpet and adding wire loom. I'm also thinking of just using my aftermarket floor mats in place of carpet.
Great job! I was hoping to take out a certain section and the video showed me everything. Now I know how to deal with all areas! Thank you!!
Thank you! Same thing just happened to me.. but I already know how to rip it from the hard plastic
does the sound deadener make a huge improvement with the noise cancelation on the jeep?
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I am sure it was a pain to make, but much appreciated.
Cant get the front drivers side out. Has a lock box
I don’t know why they even put carpet in a Jeep.
Nice! When doing the rear cargo area try pushing the rear seats down. Much easier. I dumped my JKU in a 'jersey swamp and she filled up. Nasty!
Thanks for the video! It stoppad me from first try to remove the plastic part! 👍👍
Is there padding under the carpet?
HUGE help, thanks for putting the vid together :)
My carpets have a stiff backing which prevents me from bending the carpet to maneuver it out.
Excellent video, thanks!
Thanks for the nice carpet cap view. Where can I find the caps for the rugs? I'm missing mine and the rugs slips around - very annoying. Thanks.
Any idea where to get replacements clips for the carpeting?

Did they fix the leak? I'm guessing no. I just bought a leaking jeep. It's still at the shop.
+lastcall170 yeah mine's back at the shop. Was ok for half the year than started leaking again.
+HatesUsernamesV2 what caused the leak?
pretty sure the seals near the A-pillar were just not connecting all the way. Easy fix that i could have done but the Jeep is still under warranty so chose the "free" route.
+HatesUsernamesV2 That's good. I just bought a 2012 with 50k miles. It has extended warranty but don't know if it's covered for leaks.

Those clips unscrew. They did on my 13 JK.
I have a bunch of adhesive under my carpet 😭
you gave me the assurance that it's ok to rip part of the carpet, so you don't have to take the seats out
Great video! ✌😎👍
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
thank you man you’re a saint!
Did you take the seats out to pull it out?
I'am going to do this tomorrow , mine is soaked
No leaky horror stories but my dog got car sick and vomited like crazy. Will definitely be taking all the seats out to do this tho. It's about time for a deep clean anyway. Probably a plethora of dirt and shit under it.
Tired of my damn carpet being soaked and it's on the passenger side
5 hours of terenchal down por left 3 inches of water in all floors
Why do Jeeps even have carpet??
Yeah man, those clips are twistable...
I am going to pull out my carpet tonight and wash it in the washing machine.
My JK’s name is La Golden Leaky
Take out the carpet and throw it away
friends are suggesting rhino lining my jeep...planning to - any advice?
Do it yourself and save the labor cost
Thanks i bought herculiner and will be doing it myself this summer :)
I did Monstaliner on my old JK and about to do it on my new one.
The website is no good, fyi...
or you could just leave the top open in the sun and let it air dry...doesn't take long
hah for some reason those clips get the best of me.
This helped. Thanks man.
