- The Fallout 4 modding community can't stop, won't stop, they might not even know how to stop. And I love them for it. They have turned this game into an amazing experience for free and deserve all the love.

My biggest pet peeve in quest mods is the voice acting and the dialogue itself. If it doesnt actually sound like it belongs in the game it really takes me out of it. Sim settlements 2 is great with this and recently America rising 2 has fantastic voice acting is an amazingly well made mod in general.
‘Etkettera’ is wild 💀
When in Rome
i was thinking the same 💀
I find this really helpful being that I’ve been playing FO4 on my laptop no mods yet as I’m just starting the game fresh (kinda). Once I’ve got myself a nice desktop I’ll be definitely downloading Sim settlements as recently I’ve been watching some building tips and tricks. Always adore base building in games
Check the link to my mod list I left in the description. The very first link in it leads to a guide to modding to "The Midnight Ride." If you follow the instructions the game will actually run better than vanilla.
Please build your own! I made a huge mistake by buying a Cyberpower pre-built my first time. The motherboards they put in pre-builts are wholesale version that have zero support, the psu's are dangerous knockoffs that will burn your house down, the cpu coolers are way undersized and the storage and ram are always the cheapest junk possible that will break very quick.
@@apexalaska Holy Brahmin, I was also thinking of just buying a pre built pc with water violin since the heat is on the rise. I definitely should just not very good at pc building. Sorry to hear that.
i wish there was a mod that randomized “cells”/interiors. so every time i enter a building, its not always raiders. maybe its full of ghouls, dogs, looters, etc. that would add a lot of replayability
That's not a bad idea... Can't do it with every interior for quests reasons and so on. But for the more generic places. Good idea.
There is, look the "Encounter Zone Recalculation" mod up on Nexus
@@crysiszocker1 That mod just recalculates the enemy's level and stats. It doesn't change the enemies that you encounter.
It’s incredible how Fallout 4 is 9 years old yet the modding community is still going stronger
Let’s hope the next Gen update keeps everything consistent whilst seeing an improvement in frame rates and possibly a slight engine upgrade 🙏
We can only hope that Bethesda goes above and beyond for this next gen update. If they have fate in the TV show bringing in a whole new audience to Fallout 4, than they better.

Also got interested in 4 again lately - mainly for the characters and narrative (excluding anything Midstitute,) but also for mods to look at once I get a PC and no longer limited to Xbox's 2 GB.
Main things I'd want is SS2, the Attachment Pack, FCOM for factions and You & What Army for Minutemen runs. After that is just smaller things, like reimplemented cut content, generic NPC dialogue variety or a few settlement sites and build options.
Feeling you with the Minutemen overhauls. A lot go overboard with the power armor, like We Are the Minutemen or Liberty Reborn (AKA Brotherhood but blue.) I've occasionally proposed the concept of radial troop progression around settlements - Weapons shop arms one region, doctors give health boosts in another, etc. - but I know nothing about modding or if such as a system is thesible. Until then, the two options I liked are Militarized Minutemen or Organized Militia.
I used to use Militarized Minutemen too. But it ended up not feeling lore-friendly enough. I thought of and started documenting an idea for a more in-depth minutemen progression idea as well. But for now, I have to say that Warsaw's Improved Minutemen is the best out there.
For a sec, I thought you said System Shock 2 is still the better RPG title.
This game seems to be getting a huge revival lately.
With the TV show coming out, if it's good, than yes. It's in for a massive revival.
People are dropping off Starfield and going back to the previous Bethesda release to mod it. As Fallout 76 can't be modded, everyone is going to Fallout 4.
Same thing happened with Fallout 4's release and people going back to Skyrim. Also, a lot of the large modding projects wrapped up last year (Sim Settlements 2, America Rising 2).
@@jimjam7928 Nah Skyrim is just an anomaly. I believe the only time modding for it will cease is if TES6 comes out as a actual good game on launch (unlike starfield).
@@PapitoQinnAged well

You talked about wanting a mod that has all the info your HUD gives you on something like a watch. Well a mod like that does exist, its called the "Garmin Foretrex 901". Came out last December and kinda flew under the radar but its really cool and I havent seen any other mod like it for fo4.
Thank you. I didn't know about this. It's close, but not quite there yet. It's not terribly lore-friendly. But I would have still used it if not for some restrictions I'm seeing on the mod page. I really wish they could have used the pip-boy.
ooo i dont keep up with the modding scene as much as i used to, that patcher looks mighty nice. Ive been meaning to start a new fallout4 run and actually do the main quest and dlcs (finally lol(as well as sim settlements)) but im kinda glad i procrastinated so i can see the cool things thatll come with these new tools. For skyrim as well
Oh yeah. This is the best time. Especially before Fallout: London comes out and that might take over our lives.
@@PapitoQinn oh yeah i forgot about that, i need to look up more stuff about it too thanks for reminding me!
I made a video about it. It comes out April 26th. In case you didn't see it: ua-cam.com/video/X08lHSmvaac/v-deo.html
I suggest more of Zzy's mods.
Bastion, makes power armor actual power armor.
Deadeye, one shot one kill if the caliber allows it.
Besides that, look into Simple Power Armor Reduction System, pretty self explanatory,
Thanks, but I'm already using all of that. I went through the man's entire catalogue. Right now I'm looking for a way to make Power Armor even stronger. Basically something to withstand how True Damage works. I'm using a multitude of mods to make it happen but it's still not fully satisfactory to me.

Can’t wait for next gen update and I can’t not wait to play fallout 4 again
I like your kind of approach to modding. Do you know if there is any good modpack to build upon?
No, not really. I thought about using this one called Horizon, but you practically have to use it and it alone. Every single other mod you may want to install will need a patch. It's just too much of a headache. I prefer to directly address specific things.
Thank yoi for making ne play fallout 4 again just for the combats i am sold already
You're welcome. Mods are banging right now. But I'm taking a break until the next-gen update comes out and mods get updated.
Great video man. There were some great mods recommendations. I’ll probably check some of them out because of this video. And don’t worry about annoying people here. Make the videos you want to make. UA-camrs who try to pander instead of following what they’re passionate about always start to decline in quality.
Thanks, man! I added a link to my mod list in the description. It's just the one generated by Mod Organizer 2, but tomorrow I'll fix it and make a better, easier to read list.
@@PapitoQinn Thanks. By the way, if you feel like making a video like this for Skyrim too I’d be very interested in seeing it.
Before the Anniversary Edition update I had a set up pretty similar to how I had Fallout 4 before the Robco Patch. Now that the Sky patch is out maybe I'll give it some time and let the community build with it a bit.
Ehh, I'll still play FO1, FO2, FNV, and FO3 mostly as is. A lovingly polished turd is still a turd, so begone again, FO4!!!
(Extra emphasis on "mostly", though. FO1 works better with Fixt, FO2 with the Restoration Project, and FNV has expansionary gems like the Someguy Series.)
honestly I am getting tired of fallout 4 on modding it just to make it feel good to play it was so very old for me
I wish consoles had access to these amazing mods. I'm too broke to buy a good pc to do mods myself, sadly.
I know how that feels. Everything gets better and everything gets cheaper. Eventually the specs necessary, at least for this game, should become highly affordable.
Is it still crashing bad on xbox
SS2, Depravity and its sibling quest mods are my reasons to play FO4 in 2024. And Damn apocalypse ass well. But should i use SKK loot mod or Damn Apocalypse?
I initially was going to use damn apocalypse. But after much research found good alternatives. Like for example SKK loot. Damn Apocalypse does too much, requiring patches at every turn.
@@PapitoQinn Yeah there are lots of LL scripts or finding non-broken weapons which i didnt find them helpfull at all. Do you know mods that make npc uses bullets from their inventories. I could use SKK Loot and that ammo mod to create ultimate wasteland experience in my mind. I have tried some mods such as Immersive ammo or npc ammo some of them affects only vanilla weapon if their descriptions are accurate.
@@mertdinc5459 I used to use something that made NPCs use ammo but it was a disaster. My settlers ran out too. And NPCs are not shy when it comes to shooting. It's like candy to them. So What I use along side SKK Loot is the mod "Remove Ammo from Dropped Guns". Check the description for my mod list.
@@PapitoQinn okkay thanks man i appericiated
Never liked automatic patchers.
Guns DO kill people. If I throw a 50cal at you you won't die. Ofcourse the gun is important for velocity, accuracy and amount of bullets you can shoot at your enemies...
You can have a rifle ready to fire and absolutely nothing will happen,it takes human will applyed to the trigger to make it fire.
Yes yes but Fallout 4 takes two identical firearms that only differ in the weight of the receiver and makes the heavier one deal a specific, quantifiable amount of greater damage. That does not make sense and that's why the quote is being used here
@@user-ny8nw8yl3u yes and it depends on where you're shooting at - if you almost miss with a fucking anti tank round it barely scratches off the enemies skin but if shoot an enemy directly into an eye with a tiny 9mm pistol the ebemy will die immediately - this is supposed to be reflected by the weapon specific perk in Fallout 4 like Gunslinger
@@funki4896 And your comment is pertinent because?
Im in love with Horizon atm 😂
I'm glad you're enjoying it and for making the leap. It was doing way too much for me.
I love it, but the incompatibility issues became too much for me, waiting for 1.9.4 to install it again
@@kaizenregimen Exactly. It needs a patch for everything. I don't think I can ever use it.
I’m currently playing Fallout 4 for the first time, and it’s just impeccable, I’m currently playing on normal difficulty (un) modded, and I really like it, but i do want to add mods
In the description I left a link to my mod list. In it there's a link to a modding guide called "The Midnight Ride". It's very good. If you follow it just up to the "base finish" the game will run better than vanilla. And it's simply a very good starting point for new modders.
The only way im willing to pay for mods is if they're so well built they integrate into games seamlessly. I mean like official, polished dlc (which the creation club doesnt even do well). While i respect the hard work modders put in, and ive donated many times, its a scam to offload "content" work to modders because BGS is too cheap and greedy to PAY them and give them FULL ACCESS so they can make whatever they want. And we all know that will never happen. So they guilt trip the customers into paying modders while they get a cut. Paid mods are a pure scam.
Fallout 4 on PS4/5 0kb Bug.
Liked bc you pronounced Et cetera correctly
Take it the update broke practically all of this?
Practically... They're close to updating the script extender though.
Will the next-gen update look like this? It probably won't and it makes me mad. Bethesda doesn't care about anything neither their fans. It's just annoying.
Like this? I kinda hope not because my game actually looks awful. I need a new GPU. But I know what you mean. It's a mod called NAC X and it does change the look quite a bit.
who uses ammo?? lol
Do people still believe that bethesda would update fallout4 for nextgen? those lazy people cant even fix starfield.
Next gen update coming at the end of April 👍🏻
Mods are great, no disagreement there, but! I've played skyrim and fallout 4 endlessly over and again without needless mods. It's that pc players don't want to play a game, [ even a great game ] if they can't manipulate the shit out of it, make it easier... never satisfied. Hell that's the only reason for pc players is because they twist the shit out it and turn it into something other than what it was.
I tend to stay away from mods that transform it too much. But that's my choice and that's the beauty of it. You don't have to install anything you don't want to.
I tend to play bethesda games completely "vanilla" as well. I've got hundreds of hours in F:NV, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and even Starfield without any gameplay changing mods. The games have a ton of replayability with challenge runs, and RP runs in the ones with good writing. I feel like whenever I change the game too much, I lose interest way faster. I like PC because I really prefer keyboard and mouse for an input method, and I like getting those high framerates even if it costs me a pretty penny lmao. Console is definitely still a great way to enjoy these games, and way more economical with PC hardware prices these days.
No amount of mods or dlc will remedy the dogshit nonsense writing of the quests as well as the fact that player choice apart from cosmetics was completely stripped from the game's dialogue and quest outcomes. Fallout 4 was a harbinger of what Starfield (and to an extend 76) would be: subpar trash through and through.

It’s crazy that it still has a huge community as well as made 6 dlc, kid is living under a rock
I have played True RPG's and they are fucking boring compared to F4.
But you ahead and play those dogs all you want, Me, 'll continue to enjoy myself.
Sorry, what was bad about the RPG portion of the game or the writing? You're down with all the other crazy shit but Synthetic life forms is where you draw the line? Weird take but okay.
Fallout 4 is a broken game just like starfield. 300gb of mods is the same you drop an entire bottle of french perfume in a pile of s***
