Dignity is not a word I would ever associate with Christina. It's such a shame Christina hated her mother so....for no other reason than trying to do the best for her child.
Joan did her best to help Christina achieve success in show business, I believe Christina had neither the looks nor the talent her mother had, so she turned on Joan and tried to destroy her image. An image that Christina craved for herself.
Joan gave all her adopted children the opportunity for a good life if they chose to work and sacrifice for it as SHE did without very little help.
I'm glad she had at least a couple good children, after Christina "the bad seed". Thanks for putting this together.
