I found some decorative type copper pots. They had 30 yrs of kitchen grease and nicotine! I've done the vinegar, citric acid soak and got them VERY close but they're lacking. I'm thinking of using this on them? They're not worth anything but, I don't know what else to do lol
Looks amazing! Curious to hear how it held up? I tried some of the same paint (per their application specs) on some motorcycle rims and a year later I can peel it off with my fingernail.
@@aaronblakeley9442 Does the base need to be chrome. I suppose yes, based on how reflective you want it too look. If the base is not something chrome like it would look different?!
@@DracoDrakie the manufacturer says it’s designed for chrome but I’ve found better results with bare metal. I sand then buff to a mirror finish and then paint. Also the best results I’ve had is making sure the metal is warm to the touch.
Do they give you a enough paint to do 4 wheels in that Box so I could do 4 of my wheels with just if it's with just one Box or do I need 2 of those boxes please comment back and let me know so I know what I have to doThank you for this video
The chrome is what gives it that candy effect. It will not have the same result with primer. If you put down a silver paint first then it will work better just not a mirror finish.
No primer and if you sand the surface, you will see every scratch since it is transparent paint. Only did a very through degreasing. Still looks good today but it is not driven much to be honest. Regardless, it adhered just fine without sanding.
Yes, It was actually parked outside all winter in the elements and yesterday I just washed them off and they still look great. Haven't had a lot of road time though. I don't really drive it very much and with exception of last winter it is normally in the garage.
good afternoon= I am engaged in electroplating = copper = chromium= but your = coverage = cool= how much does it cost = chrome = Alex= Russia= thank you=
I got rock chips after bout a year but we stay in the country and do a lot of hwy driving, but overall 95% was fine.. I'd recommend this product
That's a nice workbench. The copper plate looks good too.
Chrome all the way for me, but i like that copper, it lets the chrome shine through so it still has the mirror look. Very nice, fine work sir.
Wow!!! Maaaaad!! Love that copper
colour ❤️
I was going to paint my wheels high gloss black but that copper looks pretty damn good.
Thanks mate 👍 "Patience'
Just got my kit today...... did a test piece, I love it, can't wait to start my project...
Got pictures and did you use adhesion promoter
Looks really nice 👍
Its best to use the 2K Clear in the spray can if you want the best effect and last long
You can remove the gold easy with Airplane Paint Remover that they sell at Autozone and the wheels are back shine chrome
For real?
Looks great. Thanks for the vid. I want to try it on a high gloss white for a guitar.
I'll try it on my 15x10 deep dish rims .
This kit is like 23 bucks here in Canada
Impressive sprey bro
Looks awesome!!!
I do know it’s easier to get a straight edge with 2-3 mm tape and then you can tape on top of and you don’t have to cut the tape
Lol I fucking love this channel haha so deadpan thanks for tuning in until next time 🤘🏻
Thanks. They call me Deadpan Stan. Just kidding, no one calls me that, but it would be funny if they did.

So basically the original material needs to be mirror like glossy to achieve this. Well, what is the original metal I got is dull silver / chrome?
Super nice
I want to see it with metal flakes under the coating.
Anybody knows if that would work on my Harley tank ? Looking for a metallic copper spray paint and yess I’ll put 2K high gloss clear on top
Does it matter what color the wheels are now do they have to be Chrome
Martin Neps If you want that candy finish, they need to be chrome.
Looks amazing! Curious to hear how it held up? I tried some of the same paint (per their application specs) on some motorcycle rims and a year later I can peel it off with my fingernail.
Still in good shape. No pealing.

Helo sir
Whats the name of the spray paint youre using?
i will do that with the chrome parts of my motorcycle engine :D

You will need two boxes
@@StanixGarage OK thank you very much for the information
Hi, looks great. Nice video.
Do you think this would work on a mountain bike frame that has been stripped and primed with spray primer?
The chrome is what gives it that candy effect. It will not have the same result with primer. If you put down a silver paint first then it will work better just not a mirror finish.
Mike Stanek gotcha. Thanks for the reply 👊😎
MICHAEL J FOX STANEK, HOW'D IT HOLD UP? ITS BEEN 4 YRS! 🤔lolo
Still looks good but it is garaged most of the time.
If you wanted to take it off could you use lacquer thinner to remove the paint and have chrome wheels again?
Not sure, but that is where I would start if I was going to remove it.
Bad ass!!!!
How would it turn out if applied onto prepped alloy wheels. Anyone. Thanks
How durable is this when washing the vehicle..normal wear and so on? Thanks
What prep work did you do, such as sanding? Did you use any primer for the paint to adhere?
No primer and if you sand the surface, you will see every scratch since it is transparent paint. Only did a very through degreasing. Still looks good today but it is not driven much to be honest. Regardless, it adhered just fine without sanding.
Would this look the same if painted over black rims
No, it would not look the same. It would be very dark.
Mike. Great video. How did it hold up?
Still in good shape
im thinking of painting some plastic auto interior parts this should work if properly done correct?
Is it still holding up???
Yes, It was actually parked outside all winter in the elements and yesterday I just washed them off and they still look great. Haven't had a lot of road time though. I don't really drive it very much and with exception of last winter it is normally in the garage.
How is it with cleaning on and stuff like that and work would I purchase this copper spray stuff please comment back
Martin Neps Clean with soap and water. I bought mine on line. Just search for it in google.
@@StanixGarage No I want to do a set on a scooter for my nephew
Does it work on bare metal polish rims
Hey anybody!??? Can I use it on wood?
How's it holding up ?
Oscar Flores So far so good. One got chipped a little when I had new tires put on. I was able to touch it up to where only I will notice.
@CockYaLegS Still looks good. Nothing to report.
Were can i buy this paint?
what is that product
good afternoon= I am engaged in electroplating = copper = chromium= but your = coverage = cool= how much does it cost = chrome = Alex= Russia= thank you=
You voice sounds like D. Trump
How many cans did it take to do all four rims
Three
So does one kit do one wheel
Pretty much. It took about three and a half cans
How did this last ?
@@dancarpenter419 sold the car a couple years ago. Still looked good then.
@@StanixGarage thanks for the review !
Could you spray this on wood.
I suppose you could; but, it will not have the same result. It would be more like a wood stain.
How many kits did you use? Thanks
Two Kits
How long does the paint last bro
Still looks good, but the car is mostly garaged and only driven every once and awhile
@@StanixGarage were can i find that paint.? I want mine god i have the same rims
Still on there? No chipping?
Yes Sir. Still roll them, and still looking good; however, she is in the garage most of the time. Saddly, I really don't drive it that often.
What is it?
Would this work on polished aluminium and nickel plate??
Did you ever find out I’m trying to do the same thing lol
Moises Minero unfortunately I’ve not found out yet no
I saw a recent episode of Powernation their F150 build and they tried it on polished aluminum, looked fantastic.
Where did you purchase it from?
google search Dupli-Color CK100 Copper Plate Coating Kit. There are many places to order. I got mine from JEGS
How they holding up buddy..nice job
I sold that car last year but they were still in great shape. Keep in mind, it rarely left the garage.
