Considering we’ve had mostly humanoid killers so far. Going off the rails with a ratchet, insane monster is honestly quite refreshing and looks legit scary.
Nah, I saw worse but it may be scary for dead by daylight people though.
Yeah, If I had to pick a single killer that is very different from the humanoid body style is demogorgon… but even then they still had hands and legs and the idea of a human like form. This thing looks like a complete abomination.

There's a lot of things I don't like about DBD but I've got to admit the art team carries HARD
The art and sound design are definitely DbDs strongsuits.

What are the things you don’t like?
Music team is doing great too. The only thing they lack in seems to be gameplay itself.
Most of my favorite games fit that description
Doing the "monster under the bed" and making it jump out of lockers is very unique and fun. It actually looks like a monster from a child's imagination, and is definitely a lot like the monster I thought lived under my bed. The boogey"man" (more like a "thing") looks really promising. Not every iller needs to be Blight-levels of powerful. Teleporting killers like this are just super fun to goof around with.
Legit the first time I’ve heard someone use Blight as a unit of measurement for killer strength.
Props to you! Cause if you are able to use him as one… you must be like top-tier.
Personally I use Legion as a unit of measurement.
“Monster under the bed” while I see where you are coming from, there is the equally well known and more applicable use of the monster in the closet

I'd be very concerned if my child was imagining a monster with a bunch of hands and shit sprouting from it ._.
The dredge looks like one of those monsters that never actually appears on screen, you only get glimpses of it's shadow, and you're kept guessing based on the characters' horrified expressions.
This is why I love original characters the limitless concepts they can use and designs are amazing

Loving the style of the killer, it gives off a lot of boogie man vibes, can't wait for the jumpscares he's gonna give. Love the survivor too💖🤌🏽

It's OK to have less realistic graphics in games like DBD
the game still looks good and if you look at the 3D models they make it look way more detailed than it actually is
Also... Keeping the graphics not super realistic with insane amounts of polygons makes the game more accessible and more people can play it(it is true that their optimization sucks but making the graphics even more detailed would make it worse)
If they made the game extremely detailed like a lot of triple A games many ppl would not be able to play the game anymore

I've got to say, I'm impressed how imaginative they're going. I'm still waiting for a space or sea themed monster, but a part of me appreciates how they don't pluck low-hanging fruit like that and instead come up with nightmare fuel like this.
He looks like the blight mixed with demo’s mouth, and oni’s 3rd eye. I love it.

While I think that some of the changes shown in the anniversary stream are definitely underwhelming in some ways or another, this is definitely looking to be a promising chapter based on design. The art team truly has never failed DBD whatsoever. Props to you all.

2022 DBD : the survivor is chasing the killer, I remember my first game as a survivor, what attracted me to this game was how scary it felt to play as the survivor and the game and its characters inspired that as well. Take from that what you will.

I'll admit, I wasn't a huge fan of the killer when the leaks first got introduced. At first I was wondering wtf this weird ostrich looking thing was. But now after seeing it in a trailer and understanding more of its abilities and power, I can safely say that it's starting to grow on me.

Can you guys ad proximity chat, so when your close to a fellow survivor you can talk to them, but as you gain more and more distance there voices become more faint, I believe this would be a very good feature, this will help a lot of people that have nobody to play with, such as solo queueing, that way they can communicate, it would be a very good feature

Sweeney Todd, Demon barber of Fleet St.
Survivors: Anthony and disguised Johanna
Main menu killer music: DBD theme played on organ.
Alternative main menu killer music: DBD theme played w/ full orchestra w/ sustained organ in the background
Chase music:Judges Death (as being stabbed in barber chair)
Hooked music: Opening Title (violin triplets last 30 sec.)
Mori scene: Sweeney Todd sharpens his bladed from behind killer, grabbing survivor by the collar bringing them up to their knees, grabbing their head with one arm, slitting their throat with the other from behind (as from Sweeney and Antony performing Johanna from movie (old man in the barber chair))
Alternative Mori scene: Sweeney Todd parades slowly in front of the survivors, flicking his blades open and shining them in the light above his head as survivors sit upright on their knees, Todd swiftly turning and slicing survivors throat (as from Sweeney and Antony performing Johanna from movie (final kill in the barber chair during performance))
Opening cut scene: creators discretion
Chests: occasionally have Senor Perelli appear(jump scare) out of chests for his purse of blood points. (Opted for disregard)
Sweeney todd outfits:
•Original- black pants, white shirt w/ black vest
•Bloody- same Outfit, drenched in blood
•Denim- black pants, open blue denim jacket w: black vest underneath

The Dredge also has a perk that causes pallets to break after a survivor fast-vaults them.
This reminds me of a movie called Boogeyman. Evil exists in the boy’s closet, and his dad was even sucked in. I watched it when I was in third grade, and unfortunately my bedroom is big, which was designed for two adults, and so is my closet. And every time the light turned off, I was too scared to fall asleep and my mom had to keep me company for three whole months. That was a disaster.

Hey behavior gotta perk for the next killer StruckBound when a survivor is hooked StruckBound is active when that survivor gets unhooked the unhooker will scream revealing there location suffering from the blindness, hindred, and broken status effect for 20/30/40 seconds, StruckBound has a cool down of 40 seconds.
Please add a first person mode for survivors, I think that would be fun as shit
That complete defeats the gameplay of DBD.
The reason why it's third person for survivors is cuz it gets more ballanced and the survivor get a chance to hide.
Im sure they have tested the first person stuff a lot back then.

I'm loving the recent trend of effectively giving Survivors superpowers. It's like the third Nightmare on Elm Street movie.
The design of the chapter bangs, but the killer "nightfall" mechanic is weak. Survivors can see and hear you so much better than normal.. It has to be buffed. Otherwise can be a decent killer.

I like to play this game in large spurts but then drop it for a few months and come back when I know I will have to relearn everything. It makes the game more fun for me to regrind to top rank. I decided to play recently after a half year break and ran into the ring killer for the first time. I didn't hear any heartbeat and all of a sudden, she was behind me and I legit yelled on call with my buddy i met at school 2 weeks ago. Thank you DBD for actually making this a horror game.
