I feel like this is because they were designed to be scary. their power is strong, because it was designed to scare the shit out of survivors and that happens to make it pretty easy to catch them off guard. he's fun because unlike nurse or blight who ignore whole aspects of the game to just catch survivors instantly, he play's the game fairly and his power is *scary* it's fun to feel scarred when being chased, rather than simply defeated.

Did anyone else notice, near the end of the first match when he said third seal went down, that third seal was still up and it was pentimiento that fell?
Yeah, at first I thought that maybe he forgot he rekindled a totem. But then he said he can now get 2 stacks of pentimento. I don’t know why he would automatically assume the cleansed totem would be third seal, especially when the perk image for it is still lit. Maybe he doesn’t know you get the noise notification for pentimento totems? Though I don’t know how he wouldn’t know that.
I am one of the survivors here and my jaw dropped when I saw your name! It was SUPER difficult to unhook the others because I couldn’t see them (third seal) OR hear them because of all the voices from Nightfall! I wasn’t able to message you due to me being a console player but GGs!!

Love people like him and otz who just play the game for what it is and just try to have fun which is the whole point. Hate streamers and youtubers who complain about everything. Yes the game has a lot of flaws but if you stop seeing it that way you can enjoy the game a lot more.
Pro tip for Dredge players: While the lockers that are near a hooked survivor can't be teleported to, it can still be entered with your power by hitting the active ability button while at the locker and you can hide in it while waiting for other players to ambush(like insidious but you can actually fully hide yourself).

That's funny, by sheer coincidence I was running Third Seal on Dredge also since I figured it fit its "darkness" theme plus Pentimento because I happened to have it. 🙂 I don't have Undying unlocked on Dredge yet but, yeah, that's also a good one. In fact a full Hex build on Dredge with Devour Hope as the fourth perk would be fun since his ability to hop around helps him protect and light totems really quickly.

Another evil dredge build is myc and devour, using your remnant near the hooked survivor and then leaving to get myc and devour, and then when they're saved, instantly tp back to your remnant to get myc and continue the cycle

While experimenting with the Dredge in my own time I discovered that Surveillance + oppression on a killer who can teleport around the map constantly pretty much enables you to stall the game until the end of time.
A build I use for dredge that really works for me is hex: devour hope, bbq and chili, darkness revealed, and dissolution with haddie’s calendar and field recorder add ons…try that pls….I call it the pursuit build
i just got a new interesting idea for a perk along with a rework on how totems work. first the totems: instead of only a hex totems being lit every totem is lit, until there are no more hex totem, however: hex totem are no longer bound to one specific totem but instead on 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th totem that the survivors cleanse. each hex perk has a certain amount of totems that must be cleansed before the perk deactivates. (ranks) **HEX PERKS CAN BE STACKED ON THE SAME TOTEM IF THEY HAVE THE SAME RANK** ruin for example is placed on the first totem that survivors cleanse and hex: third seal is on the third totem that that the survivors cleanse. nessesery changes: >undying just simply just pushes the other hex totems "down a rank" and will always be the next totem that is cleansed >same goes with hex: plaything but only for the affected survivor. (for the first 90 sec after being unhooked) >the rank for hex haunted grounds can be set by the player itself (its better than letting the survivors know when they will get exposed) >haunted grounds now only affects 1 totem at the time **my perk idea** ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hex:waste of time >if all hex totems on the map are cleansed hex:waste of time will spawn a hex totem affected with Hex:waste of time *"oh an uncleansed totem, oh an uncleansed totem, oh an uncleansed totem, .... wait wot?"* -survivor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (yes my perk idea makes it theoreticaly possible to activate haunted grounds infinite times)

The Dredge has got to be my favorite Killer asthetically. I used to love The Huntress, but that was more of my taste for character design than anything else. The lullaby is what originally drawn me to her. But this characters design; a floating shadow made from puppets, darkness and shade, the black abyss. Everything about this character screams to me.
Try using Devour Hope on dredge. 11/10 would recommend. I also use lethal pursuer to see if any survivors are working on the totem straight away, and Hex: Plaything with pain resonance for a little gen control. It is extremely strong if you get a good devour placement.
If not mistaken this critter can see if you are hiding in a locker... so he teleports... sees where you are... sees in the darkness... can leave a remnant to teleport to... and is a bit fast to begin with. That is OP imho... I would not want to play survivor against him... I would likely DC... My luck I would bet paired with a killer who has all purple perks.(its happened before.) The idea is cool but he needs some work to balance out. For example... Survivors should have a token that allows them to permanently lock a locker. If the dredge teleports to said locker he has to go to a different locker. Not breaking the lock This way they can seal off an area...They would be able to seal off a different locker elsewhere but the other locker sealed previously would no longer be blocked... One per survivor... As it is this beastie is insanely hard to play against.
