I know, part of me still can't believe it! Thanks for the well-wishes. I'll try and update throughout my recovery; hopefully it helps other guys.

Hi Ethan, Thanks for letting us know about some of the psychological issues associated with the surgery. Mostly, everyone talks about the physical healing only. I had mono as an adult, and I felt so bad that the most I could do was shower once a week. I had trouble keeping my head up just to eat. This went on for about 8 weeks. I remember thinking that I couldn't understand how others could bear it to be sick for months or years. I Just don't know how they do it. Yours will pass and you can finally feel you have the "parts" you should have. Plenty to look forward to. Speedy recovery.

You're welcome. I think the emotional/mental side gets neglected a lot when we talk about surgery recovery, but it's a huge part. Mono sucks, and I definitely feel for people who go months or years being sick. Thanks for the well-wishes!

At the time I had Group Health, now Kaiser Permanente. I had a really good case worker that helped me through the process.
