@@huolalupin6008 they simply made an analysis about characters it’s not some weird thing please grow up and go outside yourself sounds like you need it.
Ok a few things. One: the muzzle was pointing into his rectum. Meaning that the trigger would have to be pulled backwards to the outside. However if the gun is being extracted then the trigger is being pushed in the opposite direction so no discharge would occur unless pulled. 2: if these doctors had any form of gun safety they would know most of these types of pistol have a external hammer. Meaning if you block the hammer fall then gun goes no bang. So this and the first would make it safer. 3: why the hell isn't this guy knocked out or sedated with painkillers? Makes it easier WHEN THEY STOP MOVING AROUND!
This would be true, but there are a few factors. First, most derringers of that size do NOT have trigger guards. The actual trigger is fully exposed. Since the gun is inside his tailpipe, just past the rectum, there is a lot of musculature in the area and he was fidgeting about. Secondly, It is very easy to imagine that the kids luck ran out while he was fidgeting about and one or more of the muscles contracted on the trigger. The docs were, after all, trying to slide it out and that will cause a lot of the muscles in that area to start a bit of a spastic response. Things like that are not supposed to be in your butt. They did know about the external hammer, as they knew it was cocked. You can see it clearly in the Xray at 1:28. Can't tell that with an internal hammer, the issue was getting to it without surgery. Your bunghole will only expand just so far. Opening up your hole like that would likely cause a muscle contraction, which would have been the worst thing that could happen. Likely what actually did. Presuming they were able to open up his hole large enough to be able to reorient this pistol to pull it out, then here's a solution: Sedation to shut him up, full spinal block to immobilize his bottom half, then while that is taking effect, prep a set of locking forceps (phalangeal forceps? depends on the pistol) and laparoscopic camera. One doc holds the camera, the other focuses on the act. Insert and grip the hammer perpendicular to the axis of travel of the hammer. Lock the clamps. One hand on the clamp, one to get 2 fingers on the grip. Orient and pull out, grip first to use the grip/butt to protect the trigger. If by accident the hammer falls, the forceps will impede the hammer by jamming themselves in the way. Very delicate operation, very sensitive and there would be NO oNE ELSE in the room. Sadly, though, the other reason for pulling the gun backwards out is that if this all fails, the bullet should, based on path of travel, stay in the patient and not be a threat to others. Sorry patient. One final note. When the pistol went off, that would have absolutely destroyed his behind. The muzzle blast on a small gun like that is intense, because the powder hasn't all burned by the time the bullet existed that bitty little barrel. He sure as heck would not be conscious.

I was tense this whole video, not knowing what to expect gore-wise when the gun went off. Even just the anticipation of the fire was driving me crazy. BUT I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN IT WENT OFF, OMG XD
I used to work security in an inner city hospital, one day we had a patient come in, who was the victim of a gang related stabbing. Apparently the patient was a high ranking member of a gang, that was in a turf war, with an opposing gang, that discovering the patient had survived the attack, had sworn to finish the job it looked like the patient was going to survive, but after several days he developed an infection, and expired, house keeping went into his room to clean it and went to move the bed, when the housekeeper heard a loud clunk, looking behind the bed, she observed a paper sack laying on the floor. I was dispatched to investigate, I took a picture of the bag in the position in which it was found, then removed it, and opened it, to discover what it contained, inside I discovered a single action .22 caliber revolver, and several loose rounds of ammunition, ( the gun it self was not loaded) being familiar with this type of pistol, something did not look right to me, so I checked the length of the cartridges, to the length of the cylinder, what I discovered, made me laugh out loud, when the floors charge nurse ( who would later marry my boss) asked me what was so funny I replied that whoever, had brought the gun to the patient, hadn't known beans about guns! When she asked why this was so I showed her that the gun was chambered for .22 long rifle cartridges, and the ammo, was .22 magnum, ( which has a longer case, and won't fit in a gun chambered for the shorter cartridge) the police were summoned to take custody of the weapon, which of course had the serial number altered, and they had a good laugh too!
how did the gun even go off? did he have his finger on the trigger? because the hammer cant fall on its own, even from half-cock, so either the ammo detonated on its own, or the doc failed to keep his finger off the trigger. also not to mention the damage the moving external parts did inside the man when the gun was fired
It wasn't exactly in a clean environment. There is no telling how badly the trigger and hammer might have been fouled. Just a slight change on the forces acting on the hammer could begin the firing chain-reaction.
This is not a joke, we police have had to deal with this on more than one occasion. One guy had to be treated at the hospital at Rikers Island Correctional Facility.

Have anyone in these comments ever fired a .22??

Rectum muscles don’t respond to conscious requests. They are like heart beating muscles. We don’t have control over them!
@@inthewindago Calm down there buddy...
Yes they do make powerful magnets called neodymium. Also it was a single shot .22 cal so yes it is possible to do in the hospital. The surgeon could have sedated patient via Ketamine or Propofol, used forcepts to open the sphincter and secured the hammer with a zip tie!
This is probably the most accurate scene in Chicago im sure docs encounter this alot
I find it hard to believe they would have tried to pull it out with him awake and not under.
Not hard to believe at all, they needed him awake so he could tell them if anything seemed wrong.
Didn't catch it fast enough in this particular case, but that's the idea.
Might have given some painkillers or maybe even a local anesthesia?
Surgery would have been the way to go, much safer for everyone.

So how’d that get there… so, are you aware you have a gun up your butt,…
It would have been hilarious if right after the gun went off he was like: Hey I feel discomfort!
On a scale of 1 to 10.....
I'm not a doctor, nor have I ever fired a gun, and even I can tell that literally everything in this scene is wrong lmao.
Except it isn't wrong and people in the comments have gone into detail about how this scenario is perfectly reasonable with a few mistakes.
@@klutzmtg2310 Dude, a gunshot happening from inside your intestines is gonna make your entire abdominal area look like viscera. "A few mistakes" is the biggest understatement of all time, lmao.
@Stranger In A Strange Land Yah, that explosion is turning your bowels into jelly. People need to watch a clip of a gun going off under water.
@@klutzmtg2310yeah the shock wave from the gun going off inside him would have annihilated his spleen, pancreas, intestines, bowel, bladder, liver, gallbladder, and most likely fracture the pelvic. @studlord9970, wouldn't you think that his father would want to see and speak to him in case he died?
My name is Johnny Knoxville, and this is "Derringer Diarrhea".
They took an xray, couldn't they keep track of which direction the gun was pointing to prevent someone from getting shot.

Yep the Gun-Gina was the first thing that came to my mind when this clip showed up on my recommended.
Same!
The gun going off actually scared the living garbage out of me lol. I jumped.
.22 is not strong enough to go through that guy and into the doc. Also the damage to the kids butt would be a lot worse than just an exit wound. There would be a lot of burned area from powder burns and the heat of the muzzle.
Yeah the kid would have died instantly. The shock wave from the gun would have ruptured organs and shattered bone. The combustion would have liquefied his liver and kidneys. Just a huge mess inside basically.
My old supervisor used to work in the ER and she said that people shoving things up their butts that don't belong there and end up getting stuck happens a lot more often than people realize lol

This has a way better outcome then I was expecting from a video titled Gun Hidden Up Patient's Rear GOES OFF
I mean you could know where the thing is pointing so you could stand clear in that area. And also maybe wear those bullet proof helmets and visors of the Bomb squat. Or put a bulley proof west or blanket over the patient, then the bullet couldn't hurt anyone.
Common sense is a writer’s worst enemy
What bullet proof helmet?
Military kevlar helmets are designed to reduce shrapnel damage
A 22 can shoot through at close range.
He said he didn't know how it got up there.maybe it was some kind of stealth gun.
@@edwardmoore5325 did you miss the part we’re he explained how it happened??
@@edwardmoore5325 He literally explained how it got up there in this very clip and nobody was questioning how it got there in the first place... The question was why the hell were they standing in front of the firing path when they knew which way the gun was pointing and why the hell they didn't just cover his stomach/hips with a bulletproof vest. The xray gave them more than enough information about which way the gun was pointed if they didn't outright find out when reaching for it, it was pointing to the left so common sense dictates that you stand on the right so it doesn't shoot anyone else...
The gun going off scared me so bad, literal jumpscare 💀

".22 single-shot derringer.. big kick for a little gun.." said by the human equivalent of a .22 single shot derringer
"Million to one shot, doc. Million to one."
Aww Reese was real cool in these scene
how did the gun even go off? did he have his finger on the trigger? because the hammer cant fall on its own, even from half-cock, so either the ammo detonated on its own, or the doc failed to keep his finger off the trigger. also not to mention the damage the moving external parts did inside the man when the gun was fired
A Derringer has no trigger guard making it extremely easy to have an accidental discharge.
Thanks for info
