Well planned and executed slideout done by a master craftsman for sure. Of all the DIY's for a slide out you are stars above them! Thanks for the share!!
Yes, much better suited to someone who already has tool boxes and needs to be able to pull them out. You could always add a bottom plywood box for long levels, track saw tracks, etc. Good job!
Great design mate ! Why can't all companies make their slide tray fully extend ! It's a no brainer! If you ever went into production I would definitely buy 1!
I'm impressed. Good job. A simple and robust system, great. Was looking the YT for a sturdy "heavy duty" bed slide inspiration - and You certainly made my search come to an end. Yanks usually make it ,out of plywood.... That simply was not good enough for me. Big Thank You for this video. Defintely an extremely worthy content.
I carry an iron rake in the back of my pickup - but I certainly like your sliding floor! Just spent the summer welding in new steel in the bed of it. Those plastic inlays are nice but lets the rust do a lot of damage unnoticed. Hope you make some more videos. This was great.
I am frequently amazed at how many people don't know about shoulder ( sometimes called Stripper) Bolts. they are perfect for mounting bearings. Maybe one would have to have been in the tool and die business to know of them. Check it out. Once you see them you won't ever mount a bearing with a threaded bolt again Nice build BTW really nice.
The undercarriage design of this slider bed closely resembles that of the EXTENDO-BED, made by the Extendobed company in Boise Idaho. I've had an EXTENDO-BED on my 1996 F-150's 8 ft bed, since 1997, and it is still one of the best truck accessories, EVER. It is rated for carrying 1300 lbs fully extended (6 inches beyond the point of the tailgate), and I know that I've overloaded it several times by stacking bags of 60-Lb Quickcrete concrete mix. It's a workhorse. Modern versions of their Extendo-Bed are equipped with electric motors for ease of extending and retracting the sliding bed.
Great design you have saved me a lot of work, nice use of the cam roller bearings as well. nice job, i was wondering how the the 3 stage stops worked, nice one.
Fantastic! Thanks for posting. Some don't like the music, I'm sure it is a COPY WRITE thing. You should be paying attention to what he is doing. Mute it it bothers you. I think it is a concentration issue not a music issue. My I use the locking mechanism on a project I am working on? It is a ramp for my dogs to get in the truck,1 has had 3 knee surgeries and the other has had a stroke. It is their truck ,they just get me to drive them everywhere. I need a way to use 1ramp for either side and this lock may do the trick with a little modification.
First off, this has been the best slides, capable of handling heavy loads. Very well enginered and built. Bravo Sir! Just would like to know where you obtained the small channel? I've had problems trying to source any channel smaller than 6". I would like to know where you found it?My build is similar only I added drawers on the bottom, the slide is above the drawers. Thanks
Hope your back gets better. Ive built 3 of them, for different trucks before my back gave out. I broke down and bought a Cargo glide/Slide 👍 Its made heavier but it over 2200lbs at full extension. Being a short guy this was the best
This is fantastic design. I am trying to build camping trailer for my boyscout troop. This would be excellent for a pull-out cooler rack. If you could provide a drawing or any more information on this design it would be a big help. I understand if you do not wish to share the plans and will respect your decision. Thanks for the video though. There is not much information on these and pre-built options are very expensive.
wow this is so cool, this be great as a pullout work / welding table from a van, pleas how could I get plans for me to try and build ? nice job thanks for showing
Do you by chance have like a blue print I want to make this but like I feel like without a blue print it won’t turn out the way it is in that photo if you do that would be so amazing A blueprint with the sizes of all components. Thanks, great slider.

This is just what I was looking for. I've wanted to build one like this for my Ford with 8 foot bed. But after watching and seeing what tools I'll need it might be cheaper for me to buy one from Cargoglide.
I am trying to make a sliding floor to cover the open stairway in a RV. I would like the cover to open from what would appear to be a drawer in a nearby cabinet. The step cover would need to be able to support the weight of an adult. I would have to purchase slides as I don't have the means to make my own. Would you have any recommendations for me on design and supplies?
Hola amigos, muy bonito su proyecto de la carrocería los felicito, pero las maderas yo la habría barnizado barnizado, unos de los maestros que hacia morisquetas debería ponerse una nariz de payasito jajaja Angel Nelson Antofagasta Chile
Wow - this is next level shit. I 100% love it. Outstanding work fella. You should market and sell this into Australia. I'd buy it. All the best from Adelaide Australia.
I hope all is well! This is by far the best design and everyone is willing to pay for your plans. I think giving this a shot might surprise you and help out a lot more people than you'd expect. I hope you consider doing that. I would buy the plans for sure and if you need help creating plans feel free to communicate it- These UA-cam people are super helpful! Best of luck!
Any particular reason to use a UPN->C section(tapered) vs UPE-> U section (non tapered) ,U would have more contact surface witht he bearings,What size bearings are being used?
Well planned and executed slideout done by a master craftsman for sure. Of all the DIY's for a slide out you are stars above them! Thanks for the share!!
This is probably the best DIY slide on UA-cam. I wish I had all the tools to make this oh and the skills... great video thanks for sharing!
If you could share your drawings and materials list, you'd be my hero. Need one for our survey truck.

If you are not selling plans to build this, you should be! Very nice design!
Awesome build! It's great that it extends so far out behind the truck bed.
Absolutely amazing, where can I order the plans... The very best Bed Slide I've seen yet. GREAT JOB

Best design I've seen yet. Great job and thanks for some inspiring ideas!
Great project and build. You should market the plans for this design with materials list. I'm sure many folks would purchase.
Thanks for sharing.
This needs more views, stunning bit of engineering!
The best one for diy without having to buy one. Wish I had a machine shop.

This is an awesome project! You sir are a master craftsman to be able to scratch build, & design this!
I've seen so many of these and this one is far and away the best I've seen! Great job!

Awesome slide, great design, I will be fabricating something similar for my F150 after watching this, love the locks
That’s not a truck.

Mate great job. Can I ask what you think it cost to make? Cheers 🇦🇺
Exelente trabajo , que bueno seria trabajar contigo
thanks for sharing. But I would need the precise drawing of all the components. I'm not as good as you.
Super projekt.
What was the reason behind adding the extra angle iron on the U channel? Just for strength?
good stuff,, whats the weight? could aluminum be used instead?
Bravo!!
Super!!

Very nice job brother.
A very nice job, keep it up.

Total kilograms/lbs of this slide? Thank you
What is your back ground ? Great slide
Just wondering if this channel is still operational?
what size bearings and bearing bolts did you use
Very good credit to you!!
What is the overall height of the deck from the bed?
" Excelent idea and development "
do you have the plans for this slider I would like to make one for my own truck
Dude Knows what he’s doing….
The time and material costs for this you could just buy one. It’s made exactly like my Bedslide.
Good idea bro 👍👍👍
how was the frame secured onto the truck bed ?
We’re did you find the rollers that you used
Can you please share a material list and design
European "pickup truck" are like little toys compared to our North American pickups. Narrow roads over there 🤟
We do have bigger vehicles that fit on our roads.
And you build those for how much ???
That’s bad ass and way overbuilt, the way I like it! But, cantoyota even handle that weight? lol jk
You wouldn't want to open it on the ramp with 5 or more degrees.
But I like it anyway.
