My application/build will be plywood this time but watched never the less start to finish.very much enjoyed the process and the handy tips and tricks will be useful no doubt some stage down the track. Every days a school day cheers.
I just wanted to let you know that you are a freaking Rockstar and a wizard !! God Bless you and thank you !! I'm going to make a shelf like this to hold and store Air Conditioners in the basement.
The workshop is looking great. It's awful nice being able to set things up on a big slab.. the way you're rebuilding this trailer, it was an very good trade both ways!
I thought of using 40x20mm C channel and a single row of bearings all inside the channel. But then I saw and bought runners online $150, next to build is the drawer itself
"That would be the easy thing to do, but it's not the right thing to do". I'll steal that quote 😁 Thank you for sharing. I'm in the process of designing something similar for my work van, always good with the right inspiration.
I am in my final year of a millwright apprenticeship and I love sheet metal but after doing all of the sheet metal book yea not so much hahaha I have found that if you can't make things perfect make them adjustable lol
Well, I understand the idea of trying to save some money and doing it yourself, I don’t see where your version is better than the store-bought version. Store-bought version are full extension within their own length. Yours, in order to achieve full extension, extend the same distance beyond in the back and now interfere with anything he wants to put in the back.
Oh I can totally see how he might want the front or rear space to be stationary empty space. I could mount a compressor and tanks in the front, and or tool boxes that get moved in and out in the rear. Pulling out tool boxes instead of lifting them out of the drawer. A simple pin on the sides could prevent the slide from moving too.
OK, was he happy with the end result? You're right about those draws for your car and how expensive they can be. I have a black widow set up with draws and fridge slides that came with the car. Checked the price and its 3 grands worth. Going to check more of your channel. Cheers
I am happy with it. If I had more room something that could fold a full sheet would be nice. Bang for buck it's been a handy bit of kit. It's a good size for a one man show.
jeez, I feel like videos should not be allowed to use the "DIY" acronym if they are doing it in a shop nicer than most professionals. DIY (if you have a full fabrication shop) Might as well just say, "how to make X if you have access to a fabrication shop", lol. I don't know any DIY who has access to that much equipment who isn't using it for their job/profession.
Good video and I enjoyed it regardless, but I probably waste too much time looking for help that requires a mortgage worth of tools to follow and accomplish what I need.
Awesome build. Lol I was following everything and saying I can cover that, that, and that. Then he went over to massive HD comm. brake. 😎😎
Cheers mate, only video I could find helping to build heavy duty drawer sliders for work vehicle

Imagine if everyone had this man’s skills. Damn. And tools.

Ah, that spot welder sound. I have heard that sound WAY too many times.
bloody amazing workmanship..... wish i was this handy
Re watched it got me sold

Thanks mate. It's nice to have some space to get stuff done 👍
Interesting. Need to see more of this trailer
I clicked to see the full video and all I got was a trailer!
Good work mate
Another great job . You make it look way to easy ..
Thanks. Like always it certainly helps to have the right equipment

super nice result ,any screws specification to use for buy the right ones, thanks

Lovely work!

Yep, that sounds about right. At the end of the day it's sheet metal fabrication, not aerospace engineering.
Excellent
U r a genius.
Inspiration acquired thanks mate
nice build
Are you worried about obstructions in the track jamming a roller bearing instead of using a ball bearing that pushes debris to the side?
great stuff where is Oz are you?
Could you build a leg press or hack squat
Great job! What size bearings did you use?
You can freeze parmesan cheese, grated. Or whole ,last at least a year 👍
Thanks 👍
How apart are the bottom bearing please!
are you going to lock the sliders only with the back fence/door of your truck or do they have a lock system too?

Thanks very helpful video
Shock absorber for soft close?
Roast looks nice. Wondering why your putting draws in a trailer though?
It was a job for my builder friend.
OK, was he happy with the end result?

Very Nice L@@Kin Mate! Thanks
But will it be powered by rocket stove?
I Think He Should Make The Whole Rig In Wood Gasification Powered or Steam Powered Since It's All Stainless?? 🤔😂
Are you happy wit the pan brake / would you buy it again or is it limiting your production?
I am happy with it. If I had more room something that could fold a full sheet would be nice. Bang for buck it's been a handy bit of kit. It's a good size for a one man show.
Love that it says DIY and it’s built in a whole shop 😂 that’s not really diy 😂
75 x5 ?? And your location state
Perfect
Where do you buy the bearings in bulk?
eBay or Ali express
Freeze the cheese !
nice
Just subscribe im in America its a credit to you great idears thank you
Eres chingon
Title says DIY yet your using industrial size breaks and metal working tools no DIY person has…. Not really diy

I hear what you're coming from.
"under $100" plus your time surely....
....and also over $10k in equipment and years of practice to make it for $100 in materials. But the concept is good as long as you're tooled up for it
Jesus loves you all
