  • Hello everyone, today I want to share with you a very special tea set called a "紫砂壶" (Zisha teapot). But it’s not just any pot, it’s very unique. Let me show you what makes it special.
    First, it can be separated into three parts. This is the cup, this is the filter where we put the tea leaves, and this is the cover. When assembled, it becomes a single cup with a cover and an internal filter. The filter sits inside here, allowing us to put the tea leaves in and pour water through, letting the tea flow through the small holes in the filter.
    Today, I want to make milk tea. In China, we refer to tea with milk as "奶茶" (milk tea). For this, we use black tea, which we call "红茶" (hong cha) in Chinese. "红" means red, but it’s known as black tea in English. Here, I have some wild black tea leaves.
    First, we pour boiled water over the tea leaves to rinse them. This step is to wash the leaves. You see the water? You can drink it directly if you want, but it’s hot. Once finished washing the leaves, we pour out the water. Now, we smell the tea - it’s already aromatic.
    Next, we add milk powder. Open the cover, and you can see all the water has filtered into the cup. We add the black tea to the milk powder and mix it. Let’s see what happens. Oh, nice - a good smell comes from the mixture.
    This is how I usually prepare and enjoy my milk tea.
