    Cheesy Butter Ramen
    First saw this from @thetastebud on TikTok
    Boil egg for 6 minutes
    Ice bath
    Knock around
    Peel
    Boil noodles for a minute then drain
    Hunk of butter in a pan on medium
    Add some milk (no more than half a cup)
    Throw in the sauce pack
    Throw in those noodles (don't throw them too hard)
    Add the noodles back and and cook until thicc
    Put into bowl
    Add melty cheese and fold over into cheese furnace
    Add chili oil (oil squeezed from a bowl of beef chili)
    Add rapscallions
    Add egg
    Injure mouth with spiky chopsticks
    Ginger Scallion Ramen
    Chop ginger and scallions
    Saute in a pan with some oil
    Add ⅓ or so of the flavor pack depending on how strong it is
    Cook the noods for a couple minutes
    Drain and put them in that pan we talked about a couple seconds ago
    Let them soak up that sauce
    Put the noods in a bowl that's too big
    Transfer into the right sized bowl
    Add chili crisp
    Add crispy shallots
    Oh you don't have any? Okay follow this tutorial to make them:
    hot-thai-kitch...
    Eggy Garlic Powder Ramen
    Cook noods
    Drain most of the water
    Crack egg into the water and wangjanlge
    Add flavor pack and wangjangle
    Add garlic powder and wangjanlge
    Add some scallions on top
    Eat the ramen
    Apparently this was a Kylie Jenner invention, or so I've been told. Minus the scallions. That is my own original idea and I am the first person to put scallions on ramen.

    thank you for shedding light on those of us struggling with scallion problems. a lot of cooking videos will only show a pinch of scallions or even use chives! it's just nice to finally feel represented ❤️

      I have never seen a shallot at a grocery store and I'm jealous. Got plenty of onions, even green onions (which I recently learned is pretty much a smaller version of a leek! Always wondered what the heck a leek was), but nary a shallot in sight.
      Could be though because I shop at basic bitch Walmart or Aldi, lol 😂. Or maybe Alabama juat isn't in the shallot area and that's a northen thing.

      @@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley I’d say leeks are their own thing taste and texture-wise, but they do just look like big green onions/scallions. I’ve only ever tried shallots once and they were gross and tasted too strong, but supposedly they’re supposed to have a more mild taste than onions so I guess I did something wrong lol

      Just curious, is there a cure to scallion problems? How does it affect your daily life? What treatment is used to manage scallion problems? Sorry, if I sound rude, I don’t have scallion problems myself but I am interested in learning more about it.

      ​@@MM-pv5tp as someone with scallion problems myself, i'm not really looking for treatment or a cure. they do affect my daily life though, in that every time i cook, i have to ask myself whether or not scallions would taste good on the meal. the probability of scallions tasting good on the meal is 1.

      @@MM-pv5tp currently there's no cure for scallion problems, but they can be managed well in daily life as long as there's access to adequate supplies. usually scallions aren't too expensive, but they can also be grown easily at home (unfortunately most insurance and government health programs don't cover them...i guess the research just isn't there yet).
      there's also debate in the community about whether scallion problems "should" be cured. many of us enjoy our scallion problems, as long as we have the support we need. there is a lot of joy to be had putting scallions on and in just about everything, from the flavor to the color! i think even people without scallion problems should try them out if they can. :)

    You can also give the shallots a little dusting of cornflour, then let them sit around for a bit before frying. That way you get them extra crispy. Yum.

    It's refreshing to see someone allocating more than the usual three days for the Roman empire, because when even Rome wasn't built in a day, it's insane trying to manage all of it that quickly. What we have here, in contrast, is a man of commitment, and sheer frolicking goodplanliness. Which was obvious to us long standing fans anyway...

    BEST FANCY DELICIOUS UPGRADED RAMEN: start with sesame oil, no more than a teaspoon. Microplane fresh garlic and ginger if you have it. fry for a bit. if you have veg like carrots, broccoli, sliced onion, mushroom, add that in as well. then add 2 c of water. Add 1T honey and as much sriracha that suits your fancy. Add as much of the seasoning packet you want but not the whole thing. put noodles in when boiling. I like egg so I crack one in once noodles are soft enough. only cook noodles for between 2-3 minutes. 2 minutes is the sweet spot for me cause I like texture not mush. If you don't add scallions u are missing out!

    Love these elevated ramen tips. I always toss the seasoning packet and make a broth (when you get as old as me, you too will worry about your sodium intake LOL!). But these are some other additional awesome ideas. Another good topping is furikake, both because it adds some yum to you ramen and because it's fun to say.

    Best quick and easy ramen you can make:
    Maruchan beef or chicken in a bowl, microwave for 4 minutes
    While the ramen is microwaving melt butter on a small pan and coat the bottom before cracking an egg directly on the pan
    Fry the egg and wait for the ramen to finish, when it’s finished stir the noodles and then back in for 2 minutes while you fry another egg
    Finish frying the 2nd egg and take the ramen out, drain, add the seasoning packet as well as lime juice, hot sauce, garlic powder, and lemon pepper
    Break up the fried eggs and enjoy

    I add an international flavour by using Swiss cheese and I get my crispy onions from a can called deep-fried onions. They torture and terrorize them until they become dry and crispy and crumble in the mouth like little, tiny onion rings!

    WHY have i never thought of freezing my spring onion before? Every time I buy them it feels like a race against time to eat them and not forget they're there. So I don't buy them a ton but they're delicious!

    my personal hack is somewhat like the first and second one combined, which i found out from emmy eat's channel: microwave the ramen in boiling water and 1/2 the sauce packet, crack an egg on top and microwave longer, stir in some melty cheese (and other addons as desired) and you get something similar to the hacks in this: a faux carbonara sauce and it is SO good

      Try a pair of scissors- the surface area is wider than chopsticks and should allow you to pick up liquids

    ...See, you're going to have me eating nothing but noods at this point 😂. These were sole good options. I usually either will add an egg (hard boiled is usually preferred but I'll do soft-boiled when I don't mind babysitting the egg), sesame seed oil, maybe some sesame seeds, and usually some shredded seaweed. Never did I consider adding butter or milk to make a creamy broth. I have a bad case of WABS, and didn't even know it until this video, so thank you for diagnosing me 😂

    In Japan we have two ways of making ramen.
    1. add boiling water, wait 2 minutes, eat.
    2. stand in line for 30 minutes, eat in less than 5 minutes so the master doesn't glare at you and leave.

      @@recoveringsoul755 they look like "Nongshim Gourmet Spicy Shin Instant Ramen Noodle", and you can get them in a 20 pack for about $1.25 per. I'm being sarcastic about the "filthy rich" comment. These are very good noodles and seasoning packs for around a buck each. Far better than the little square ones for $0.50 or so.

      I made a mix of both the 1st and 3rd one, can concur it was lovely (though I kept a bit more of the leftover water to make a creamy broth/soup and used several drops of tabasco sauce as a substitute to chili oil)

    If you have an Indian grocery, fried onions (usually red onions) very similar to his fried shallots can be obtained for very good prices in large bags. They aren't coated in flour like the French's fried onions we use for green bean casserole at this time of year. However, just as many have a "Scallion Problem", obtainment of giant bags of fried onions can lead to a "Fried Onion Problem"... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!.... Basically all things in the Allium family can lead to addiction.... But it's okay, there's lots of us addicts out here and we welcome newcomers to our clan!!!

    in Indonesia we call the recipe at 4:13 Mie Nyemek, but in the same pot we sautée some garlic, onion and chili before boiling the noodles, sometimes we put the egg after the noodles are done, sometimes we scrambled it with the sautéed onions, it's the perfect food to eat on a rainy day😌❤️
