I just started using trick worms about 3 weeks now. They have been in my tackle box for about 4 years unopened. I just discovered a new world of fishing. 😁
I've been using this for the past 7-8 years, it is definitely one of my favorite way to fish for bass anytime from spring to late fall in southern Louisiana, I use 40-50 pound braid and the fish love it I ususally use a 3/0-4/0 hook, glad someone finally posted a video on this, my most successful colors are white and pink, a very good technique👍
I have never thought of using a floating worm this way. Loved this video. As always, great information and great video. Thank you for the time you put in making them for us.
Hey Glenn: Thanks! You made me very happy yesterday with your trick worm tip. For two hours, I applied it and only it; result was more largemouth bass than I've ever caught in a day.

Glenn, I want you to know I never get the feeling I’m waisting my life watching your videos. You certainly have a talent for teaching ( Clearly Explaining ) what you are doing and why. Stealing a line from Dave Ramsey, you have the heart of a Teacher. I always learn something from you and put it to work on the weekends at my Lake Cabin. I so much appreciate your time & talent. These videos you and I assume you wife are making, make my fishing weekends so much more enjoyable and successful.
Thanks for the helpful info!!! Your a talented teacher and keep up the great work💪🏼 I will say, just my opinion on one thing, I would never use 6lb line on a spinning reel when I know there at big bass in the area…..Again, my opinion, you would be asking for trouble and miss some big bass. Smaller bass, then no problem. I would even be using a spinning reel. but if so for this application then nothing less than 10lb. Again, thanks for your help
Been throwing trick worms for a long time down here in Florida but next time I throw one I'm definitely gonna rig it the same way you did in the video at the 9 and a 1/2 minute mark. Thanks for the tips.
Excellent tips and true wisdom again!☝️.I know I’m just another random person with a keyboard here, but you sir have been my mentor. I became an angler just 2 yrs ago. I’ve watched actual days of accumulated videos since, you are by a longshot to me the smartest fisherman I’ve come across. You’re little tips on rigging, line and reel choice etc have rapidly made me better. Yourself and Matt Allen are the smartest anglers in the country. I thank you and always look forward to you’re next video.
Been using a swivel with floating worms like you for decades. Also helps for the sink rate. Helped to use swivel to help line twist. I also would use a mustad hook with a 1/16 oz weight to swim the bait.
Appreciate the feedback, im missing something in an area where fish always are tough... this might be a perfect follow up to miss the ones that are deep in the snot
Man this is my favorite channel along with tackle warehouse , wired 2 fish and bassmaster for real , so informative. I love your voids and learn alot to add to my techniques, thank you bass resource and glenn
I have been hesitant to use worms because I really did not know how to use them. This video was really helpful at showing me how to rig worm up. I also like that you tell us what gear you are using for each bait.
Robert Timmerman zoom worm's are awesome I've been fishing with them for year's there are so miny different was to fish them I hope you give them a try and happy fishing to you
I learned this trick a long time ago while learning to fish a Mann’s 12” jelly worm! We would run about 4” of the worm up past the hook eye and run it weightless. Fish catching machine for sure! Great video🎣🎣
Love it. I'm going to try this. I've never tried a white worm. And I've never floated one either, I have the perfect place to try it. Great video thanks.
I tried White Grubs about 4 years ago. I was in Cabela’s just looking around and came across White Grubs. This kid about 14 said, Hey Mister do you like fishing White Grubs? I said I never tried it. He said well you should. “White Pissed Bass Off, They Always Bite On White. That’s All Me & My Grandpa Fish With.” Well, I tried it and the kid was right. I don’t know if the Bass are pissed off but they sure bite on white. 4 years later I have more white lures in my tackle boxes than I did 4 years ago. Thanks Kid😁😁😁 I bet my next color Surprize will be Bubblegum.🤪
Thanks Glen! Great video and thanks for zooming in when u rigged the worm. So many channels neglect this important training tool so audience can see how to do it, rig it.
I want to thank you very much my son tends to use the same technique but you show a lot Better way to get more action thank you again I can’t wait to try it
Seems very similar to fishing a weightless fluke! I'm interested in the white worm...certainly going to try it along with my pink worm. Thanks for this unique tool to add to my repertoire. Hope to land a few to get confidence in another way to fish.
Good tips. I don't often use trick worms or similar only because I have success on other presentations. I will add this presentation to my fishin techniques tho for another way to outsmart those sneaky bass....
Another great video Glen, funny thing , been fishin 43 years and never thought of fishin a worm like a fluke. I'll be trying this on my next trip I'll film it and you can see how I do. Thanks as always🦎👑🐟
Hey Glen, really good tips. I fish soft plastics almost exclusively, but haven’t rigged a trick worm quite the way you’ve shown here. Good stuff, keep it coming !
Really good video. Nicely done. Very well presented, too. I've never fished a floating worm. Love the clip of the worm in action. I think I'll need to start doing that.
This is different from other bass techniques but it is very interesting. You explained every single step and secret into using this rig. Awesome video!!!🤔 I will give it a try next time i go bass fishing.
Enjoyed your clear and concise instructions. Almost felt like I was next to you. Just getting into fishing again and would appreciate you detailing the information on the exact line and bait? I’m in PA with reservoirs and the Susquehanna River nearby. Is there any other colors that would work or stick to white? Thank you
Great presentation more than anything like what I saw seriously going to use the knowledge that I learned from watching your video today Glenn thank you so much
Great Job Glen! Glad to see you are still the man. Time for you and your buddies to make another trip to Texas only this time, let's hit Sam Rayburn & Toledo Bend. I promise, you won't be sorry you did.Art
I’ve in the past used a wooden toothpick. And snipped off the access with a Nail Clipper. I also added some attracted to the toothpick because it absorbs into the wood first.
Glenn do you set soft jerkbaits the same way? I just got back to fishing after many years away. I have alot of relearning an brushing up on my knowledge an skill. Alot I forgot an alot develop my skill as well 🤷♂️
thank you for that info...i started fishing the floating worm this year...i learned a couple tips i didn't know. What colors work best ? I've been using an orange & bubble gum swirl with good results.
Thank you so much I was trying to figure out my line twist and that swivel was perfect... Another thing I noticed I normally use wide gap hook, and normally have kept the worm pretty straight.. I'm looking forward to trying this technique this week Thanks
I would've never thought to enter the hook just under the head of the bait. It makes perfect sense, I just wouldn't have thought of it. Thanks so much for the great video!

I seem to either miss many hits with a standard worm hook OR I wind up with a deeply hooked bass, which increases their mortality. I do not often wind up with a deeply hooked bass when using a wide gap worm hook, so I don't think the issue is me being a bit late on my hooksets or recognition of when I have a hit. I'd truly love to know what I'm doing wrong with the standard worm hook as my confidence with them has virtually fallen off of the face of the planet to the point that I'll only use them IF there literally is no other option....I.E. I run out of wide gap hooks or the like. Thanks again, Kirk! PS Keep these videos coming!
Kirk Bonanny the best tool for getting deep hooks out without looking the fish is the dehooker. I was going to pay a pic, but i don't see photo option on her. You can get it at academy sports, Walmart. I have gotten hooks out that i literally thought no way, this is going to kill this bass... Have not lost one yet. a Lot of my friends i fish with LOVE using rubber worms - they say that rubber worms are their go to bait for catching Lg.mouth bass! These tips are amazing, thank you, because I never had Luck with rubber worms myself -now maybe that I Learned these tips I'll catch me a big one!🧡🎣🧡
Another great Video from Glenn. I will keep this set up in mind. But, I've been having such good luck with the Wacky Rig that I might not get to trying this one.
I began using Zoom Trick worms last year and have caught so many fish with them. Here in SoCal many anglers are throwing stick baits and Roboworms.
I just started using trick worms about 3 weeks now. They have been in my tackle box for about 4 years unopened. I just discovered a new world of fishing. 😁
I feel sliding the worm up the string like you did will be an absolute game changer! I can't wait to give this a shot now!
Glen, just want say thanks for years of GREAT bass videos and tips!!!! Your one my favorites, my man!
I appreciate that!
Yes, absolutely John Cahill! Thanks for watching!
Know I’m real late but on the off chance you see this, do you use a leader as well or just straight braid?
@@Tyler-qf9vz he says he uses straight mono he doesn’t use braid too a leader because he’s in ultra clear water and scared the fish will see his line
What about the weight? What weight is used
Appreciate the detailed rigging instructions. As you said, you are the first person I've seen who showed it, thank you.
You got that right! Thanks for watching, @johnkent9019!
Glenn, you are one of my top 3 favorites. Subscribed and notified.
Wow! That means a lot to me. Thanks for the support, Ken, and thanks for watching!

You're welcome JR! Thanks for watching.
It’s been so long since I’ve seen a video that didn’t immediately pop off all the name brands of gear. I enjoyed the video too.
We love to hear when we do a good job. Keep ‘em coming!
Glenn’s Videos certainly are not a half hour infomercial with annoying amateur head banging Rock Music.
Hey Glenn: Thanks! You made me very happy yesterday with your trick worm tip. For two hours, I applied it and only it; result was more largemouth bass than I've ever caught in a day.
That's awesome Larry! Glad I can help. Thanks for subscribing as well.

I used this as a youngster, but forgot about it for too many years - thanks for a great reminder!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
I started with the pre rigged spinner worm then progressed to the floating worm absolutely slayed them in the farm ponds I fished as a kid
I have never seen this technique used before. Shared this video with my husband. Trying this technique this weekend when I go out fishing again.
Great! Let me know how you do!
First used this technique when I was 12. The zebco 33 and 404 days.
Subscribed. This hasn't quit working over the years
Yes, absolutely trextrextrex! Thanks for watching!
I googled "how to fish a zoom trick worm" and I was directed to your video, and I'm glad I was. I can't wait to give this a try! Thanks!

Do you use a split shot weight 🤔
Good tip, Glen. Gotta give this one a try. Sometimes, the floating-worm technique gets forgotten. This should help bring it back.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
Great video Glenn! Glad you are back to making some more instructional videos!
Thanks, Jpeace530, I appreciate your feedback. I'm working on 4 more as we speak!

Awesome info regarding a floating trick worm. The swivel is very important!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
Interesting technique, Glenn. Reminds me of the old pre rigged Creme worms. Nice video...
You got that right! Thanks for watching, silver90500!

I've always struggled with my worm rigging, now I have a much better grasp on things to try.
Thanks for the great content. I will be trying this rigging with a trick worm this summer.
Glad to help, Erc Ly. Let me know how it works out as I would love to see the results.
Great video with great tips.
Thanks for sharing your information I'm definitely trying this
Great! Let me know how you do!
That was a great way to fish a worm, looks like fun good video.
Great information 👍 and I like the way you release the fish, instead of throwing them though the air and letting them landing just any way . Another 👍
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback Malcolm Zoll! It's sort of a pet peeve of mine as well.
That's one of the best worm tips I've ever seen. I forwarded this to my friends and I can't wait to rig it this weekend.
Michael Barnish, glad I could help. Let me know which tips helped the most. Looking forward to hearing much more from you.
This is awesome. Weightless worm fishing is tough for me because it's so slow. I will be trying this the next time out.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
I rig something up similar with a 6” senko but never used the swivel I’ll have to try it out. Thanks!
Good info. Have fished floating worms for a long time but your rigging is Very interesting.

Great video, think I will give it a try this weekend. Thank you

I'm looking forward to trying this technique this week Thanks
William Rock, glad I can help. Thanks for subscribing as well.
Awesome tip's! Can you use this technique with like a 4 or 5 in dinger or any other stick baits instead of trick worm style baits?
Doesn't seem to work for me. They just spin instead. Maybe you'll have better luck, but I don't get the same action you see in the video.
@@bassresource thanks Glen!
Love it!! Can't wait to go out and try this crazy way to catch fish!.. Thank you again Glenn.
