Genuinely one of the very best (if not THE very best) review videos I have ever seen. Superbly put together and produced, and totally answered all my pre-sales queries. Thank you so much. I just wish I had a fraction of your creative flair and energy!!!
Retired military here; checklists make things happen! I'm not a digital native so it's a bit of a learning curve being as fluid with it online as you guys are. But I'm learning. Thanks for showing me something new that can help my expedition planning for Africa as well as shooting videos. Cheers!
I was looking for something like this but couldn’t find the app/program that fit the bill perfectly. Thanks for introducing it. I appreciate that your doing sponsored content that is not only relevant but something you actually seem passionate about. Awesome-sauce!
I'm starting to use Milanote. I spent hours searching/watching for an instructional video I could understand (I'm old and slow and learn by being shown). Becki, yours is the ONLY one that made sense to me, thank you!! I'm now up and running. No more quill pens and parchment paper to make to-do lists! LOL
As I was watching the video I was thinking: I hope she explains how to do it, and there you were, giving a quick tutorial on how to do Milanote. I definitely am going to try it, it looks awesome, easy, creative, and professional, all at the same time. I love your videos!!
SOLD. I subscribed yesterday, and by this morning, I'd built out boards for our full New England trip for the summer, complete with daily itineraries, checklists, packing lists, and link/inspiration dump boards. If Milanote needs validation of their ROI on your sponsorship, you can count me in the "Win" column. We do at least 3-4 big trips and a half dozen smaller events/trips each year - by RV rather than helicopter - and this is the perfect way to get our family organized in a way that lets my wife and I collab in a visual, "fun" way.
Really enjoyed the Heading East series! Thanks so much for doing these BTS videos and how you plan for a large project! Really appreciate you & Chris! Can't wait to see what 2022 brings you both!
@@BeckiandChrisDo you think we can use Milanote as a pure note-taking app? Other than for creative or planning projects but really like a taking-note app? Milanote is so smooth and nice to use it but I have doubts about long-term second brain use. What do you think about it? Thanks to you.
I've been using One Note religiously and have been having issues with formatting or it just doesn't do the things I want it to do. Downloaded this app and saved it on my desktop. I've only used it for about 5 mins, but I'm already impressed. As someone with ADHD, I look forward to organizing my chaos
well this is the prettiest app i've ever seen. I was messing with it for 10 minutes before signing up for annual subscription immediately haha thanks so much for showcasing it!
Like others commenting here - I LOVED this video - content was absolutely spot on. I'm just moving over to Milanote and have watched you guys for a while now. Very cool when the two come together!!
Becki, I’ve used Milanote for over a year, now, and I love it. But seeing how you use it is tremendously helpful. And I relate so much to your obsession with design, uniformity and structure. I’m 55, but I wanna be like you when I grow up. Thanks from Australia. 🦘
Wow. WOW! Loved the amount of detail you provided in this tutorial. This is definitely what I need to start organizing myself before looking at production. Thanks for all the great info.
Love the Heading:East series and really love this video about pre-prod/planning. I'm currently obsessing over organizing my projects/schedules and generally life. It's amazing you've done this on your own! I'm still currently jumping between Milanote and Notion. I'm still testing out which workflow/system works best for me. So far I love Milanote for putting together moodboards and this video gave me ideas how else I can integrate other things. Thanks so much for creating this video!
I could finish washing the video, I just had to write to you first then continue watching; I think your brain runs on 100% capacity.... I use Milanote everyday to plan my portrait sessions with clients but I havn't gotten to that level of detail as you have wow! I am going to dive in deeper now after this
This is so helpful thank you! I've used a bunch of these different planning apps, and have never loved the experience. This is like Notion but for a creative brain!
It’s weird to realize in this moment I’ve been watching your videos for well over 3 years I think it’s been almost 4 years maybe 🤔, amazing very well put together video as always, Milanote seems like something I need to try.
I have been following you guys for a while now… awesome content… I get the UA-cam algorithm hustle but I just don’t get how come you guys don’t have over a million subs! Keep it up 💪🏼👊🏼
I've got a huge photoshoot tomorrow and I am scrambling to put all my thoughts into my phone or on paper to get me organized for tomorrow night... Then... lightbulb! Duh, Becki just dropped the perfect video plugging the exact thing I need! Wish me luck and thanks for the obvious answer!
Thank you thank you thank you! Every video I always wonder to myself; how do you guys execute soooo much - with so much content in a video, the amount of organization that goes into what you guys do is just incredible.
This is awesome and I've been a huge fan and user of Milanote for years. Used it when I launched a kids app, recently for keeping reference for our home renovation work, and I've started picking it back up again. Love seeing how you use the tool, super organized inspiration!
Oh the outtakes, I now state what noises we have going on in the videos, because I live opposite a massive building site and underneath a deaf DJ! So at least you don't have that! I started using Millanote when you first mentioned it in 2019 for a project idea, it seemed a lot more basic than this version, I'm going to go sign in and see if the free version is as helpful as your version (I think I only have one project board)
It's funny that I was just about to hop on UA-cam to look up methods of organizing media and projects/ideas better and BAM this was suggested before I even searched. Great video, looks like and awesome app!
Becki, Thank you for showing me this tool. I am getting ready to do a year long project and looking at a blank page almost scared me to the point of putting the trip off. I’m now back on track and have captured the first lot of B roll and have a working title for the project. Thank you again for your assistance 😀 David Be safe
Well. After some playing around in Milanote, I found you can actually create a BOARD template for yourself. Right-click on the board you created with your custom layout and then choose “Convert to Template” (on the desktop version!,) et voilà you now have a template to use just like the built in ones…
Thanks for the in depth tutorial. My Slack group recommended this app and now you sold me on it! However, just a thought, I love your aesthetic and decorum inside your studio and matching the "branding voice". I experienced though, when you edited this video from the two shots from your talking head pose, back to the screen-share to Milanote, the cuts were very jarring? Then the back and forth medium close up to close ups to BROLL I kept losing where I was with what you were saying!.LOL. Maybe it was me but I was struggling to pay attention to how you set your boards up. For future videos, if you use picture-in-picture, side-by-side framing or just less switching, the communication aspect would be perfect. I do love your videos, the shots and both the pre/post-production process is top notch. Word up.
Great Video, wold love to see something like your planning board a template! As someone who struggles with organisation I would buy that.. and customise / fill details in... I love Milanote, but I struggle to put that level of structure into place.
Thank you for making this video. I downloaded the app, but didn’t know where to start. This felt like a Mini-Master Class. Thanks again and Happy Holidays.
this was great Becki! Didn't realise how fluid Milanote could be. But also great job on the planning side for this new series. I assumed that this level would go in to the travel and flights side but its equally as organised and structured from a production side. Loved the series, great work guys :)
I'm a Notion guy myself. Sara Deictchy (spellcheck, peachy) put me on it. but this vid definitely gave me ideas. also: lol i know you film these way ahead of time but through the magic of editing, it literally looks like your hair speed ran blond.
Thank you so much for this video, I've watched your videos for some time yet but this one make my sbscribe! I can't believe this is free... I think it will help me a lot with my UA-cam cahnell and personal live as well!
i really like the post checklists. screenshotting and biting your shit in 3..2..1.. but i made some cool ones with shot lists and stuff i can tweet back lol
Love your guys UA-cam channel. Just curious do you guys have any other software you use for client management and invoicing, or is it literally just the software you mentioned here?
I just pulled a color scheme together using illustrator but the same can be done in photoshop! Alternatively you can use the eye dropper in Milanote to grab colors in a moodboard and essentially create the same idea!
but when someone shares a project board with you, you can´t acces to it via your own milanote. Always has to access through the link you got. That´s not really useful
Yes! I went to school for graphic design and worked at a marketing company before running my own micro agency where I did design and photo for 6 years!
25+ years of working in TV advertising... This is well thought out and better put together than 90% of what used to come across my desk.
You are an absolute legend for making this video. I already loved Milanote but you just took that love to another level.

Super helpful. Took a bunch of notes. I'm gonna use Milanote and finally get my life together :)

my brain got so satisfied that it zoned out, so I needed to skip back to get all the information😅 Great video loved it 👍🏻👍🏻

Where did you get the carousel templates or did you make them?
Am I a nerd for being so excited for this specific video? 😅
Can I have multiple 'windows' open to so I can look and copy paste info from other project files?
I use Notion for planning but am a nerd and watched this video just because 🤓
Of course your note-taking idea-jotting space looks like a piece of artwork in and of itself... 😅👏
Great job.
I wish I could be this organized.
Do you feel this software has more options than Trello? I am curious as to which one is best.
How do you access the pop up menu I don’t see the template menu
OMG! How much planning in the app it took to actually plan the trip and all!😅😅😅
my only question is do I now have to delete everything to do a new project? I'm unable to figure that part out lol.
