Kinda want to make a video about my favorite coffee table books now! 🤔
Please do! Its been a thought on my mind recently 😂
Do it becki!
Yes please!!!
Please do a video or master class on how to shoot .. like you told us how you plan different types of shots.. panning shots.. close up shot etc.. we want to learn more
Yess!! I've been waiting for this so long!
It’s times like this that I realize that other UA-camrs are waaaaay more organized and put together than I am. Also, yes to wool blankets, yes to coffee table books.
My brain is a constant shit show so doing things like this really helps me 😂
I think you mean "wool blankers," no?
Good to see your process. It’s so similar to mine. Love the 1 unexpected shot. I usually do this anyway, but I like that it’s a must have for you. I’ll definitely keep that in mind in the future.
Hi Matthew! l love your content😊
We need more videos like this! It literally feels like a crash course and I definitely learned a lot!
These tips are great! Really sheds light into the process behind creating the next banger video 👏👏
I've literally been thinking about this all morning! Becki coming in clutch
I really needed this ,
I am just starting on UA-cam and kinda overwhelmed , but this is going to help me ,
Thank ya 🧡
Love how you explain your shot list! I always learn so much from you! Thanks!
Thanks for including outtakes - lighthearted touch makes videos much more human, accessible and real.
Excellent video! I was searching "planning a yt video!" and came across this one. Thank you for making this video, it exceeded my expectations!
Love love love this, much easier to understand when you deliver this information in a personal way. Felt like a firmed helping explain some the info instead of a formal teacher. Thank you!!
Thank you for this Becki, you're a life saver
This is Gold! Especially for those of us starting out... Also gives one a better appreciation and respect for the work UA-camrs put in to their craft ❤️
This is absolute gold! Love that you start with Title and Thumbnail
It's always great to hear another creator's workflow 👏 Thank you for sharing, I'll be using some of the steps in my workflow now onwards ☺️
Thank you for the knowledge!
Yessss middle of the week video!! Love it!!
Always brilliant on sharing those tips and tricks... thank you I am a big fan! Yes please, I am interested to your favourite coffee book list.
Congrats for 300K 🔥🎉✌🏻
Thank you! This was well presented. I like how detailed you were in showing the whole process. And thanks for sharing the Storyboard notebook. I might have to order one.
This was really really helpful Becki! For my other channel, I've been desperate to make more vloggy content but always find myself just not getting enough footage, or not the right footage, or not having a set plan to follow. This has given me some perspective and structure. Good job!
I’ve been straight-up binging your content, including Tuxedo Time, for the past week or so! You make such tastefully shot and fun videos, and I love your personalities so much. Thanks for all the laughs and inspiration! I’m also into visuals and home so it’s nice to see a channel that has content covering both. I totally want to paint my whole peg board set-up matte black because of you 😆💗
I am just loving your "new" set. It looks sooo good!
Thanks for this becki really helpful
This was fantastic! Thanks Becki!!
The most common thing we do during pre-production is throwing a bunch of ideas & then get stuck in a rut. I love the organization process of this video because it is a good blueprint for a video or in general aspects of projects. Thanks for the insights as always 🤙🏼
Very well thought out process. Definitely adopting some of these awesome points. Run and gun is great but I find myself always missing a few key shots. Love this. Thank you for your efforts 😀
This is highly helpful! I often give up on edits because I’m just missing too much to make something that makes sense, and I can see that it’s all because of lack of prep. Will be using these tips to make my process better! Great video as always!
Timely, Informative, Wonderful. Thanks for the great video!
I would love to watch your coffee table book video. I'm a new subscriber and I love how well you explain anything and everything! ❤️ I'm in love with your makeover videos.
My mind is blown! Seriously Becki this is huge massive helpful info THANK YOU for sharing this level of detail on UA-cam for free 🤯😍
Really great video Becki, I enjoyed very much!!
Congrats on 300k!
Ugh Becki, its so wonderful to see how much you've grown over the course of this youtube channel. Designers for life babyyyyyyyyyyy. Keep it up :)
Love this, thank you so much for sharing! 🙌
Thanks for sharing the workflow, super insightful!
Your videos are always timed so perfectly for me - today and tomorrow are my first proper UA-cam channel days so thanks very much for the super helpful insights! Back to my planning I go... :)
love your style and please keep explaining
Hey guys, loved the video! I think there is a lot of tutorials out there on how to use an specific software, tool… but not so much on workflow and creative process. I find it very interesting to know the method behind the madness. Looking forward to seeing more content like that. Best!
I LOVE your videos! You're THE BEST!
Thanks again for another helpful video. Your opening described me to a tee.
That seven shot sequence has been something I've been looking for a long time. I've always felt in need of a template to structure my sequences. Thanks so much!
You are too good to us. I was running through my head about how I can implement these ideas into my planning and then you throw in that list of shots to get and feel like you have given me a gift. I have generally poor organization and I do struggle with it. Having specific, actionable tips is so helpful to me. Thank you so much Becki!
SOO glad it was helpful! The 7 shot sequence saves me a lot!
@@BeckiandChris I used it today and I think it's going to turn out great. I also think it's going to be in my toolbox from here on out! Thanks again!
this is so helpful! thank you!
Great video thanks
This was so helpful! Thanks a ton.
Absolutely love your aesthetic. ❤
Hi, I am from Iran and I really enjoy your films. Thank you. I also listen to your podcast and it is very interesting to me.
this is very helpful! Thank you!
Wrote down quite a few notes. Thanks! Very informative.
Very helpful and insightful! I def need to start planning my videos more 😅 so I will use your tips! Thanks for sharing 👏🏻👏🏻
That was amazingly helpful, Thankyou!
Thanks! Gave me some ideas to help form videos!
this video helps a lot !
thank you for sharing, really really appreciate it.
love from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Love the processes. Learning about this is super helpful! Must be vibben!
This is so helpful as I try to create videos that are out of the office and less tutorial based.
Great explainer
Trank you 🙏🏼 I love it 😻
300k! Congrats to my favorite UA-cam channel!
Preproduction is a important. Thanks for sharing this.
Found this channel for DIY stuff few weeks back. Ever since then not able to stop binge watching your entire videos on the channel. Love your stuff, the videos are amazingly awesome. Big fan.
Thank you so much!!
I’ve seen this style of video a bunch of times before, but I don’t know this kinda hit harder. Like I actually took the advice on board for once? Thank you! Very helpful
This is the video I've always wanted and the thing I struggle with the most. I tend to be more run and gun and usually end up with not enough footage to tell the story in the way I want. Getting inside your head was super helpful. Thanks!
Thanks Chris!
Thanks for the insight of your process :)
How I wished I came across your channel earlier! Thank you for the tips!😊
You got excellent taste for select elements to your videos.
Yes! Please make a video on the coffee table books!
WHOA I'M SO EARLY!! Also: can't wait to watch it, I'm currently invested in videography & hope to start making some videos of my own soon! ✨
Awesome hope this one helps!’
Thanks for this, I wanted to know it from you! :)
Awesome!!
I'm currently using notion but debating on switching to milanote 🤔 I definitely need to organize my pre-production more haha. great video becki, definitely will use these tips!!
Yes please!, What are your top 5 coffee table books and why!
loved your videos really the quality of your content is extraordinary, love your work, and thanks for the information.
Thanks so much!
Very helpful!
Honestly I'll watch whatever video you guys decide to put out.
You. Inspire. Me.
congrats for 300k
Theres so many things I can use to improve after watching this video. Right now it's only: Daydreaming about the video, sitting down and thinking of bullet points for broll shots, script making and finally recording a roll/b roll. I do prefer to "shoot for the edit" rather than oversaturate myself with possible footage ill never use.
Here in Australia we are in the middle of winter and it is very miserable and cold. Throw blankets would be an awesome video! Maybe to mix it up you could talk about different materials that can be used, and the durability/ washability/ warmth of each.
very helpful, the video itself is beautiful too. thank you. your channel feels like a vogue magazine.
Been lookin for ways to up the quality of my UA-cam videos for my channel! I already know this will be clutch, notebook at the ready! Thank you for always sharing awesome insight! 💯✔️🔥
Hope it helps!!
As a fellow coffee table book enthusiast, that sounds great!
Always tend to neglect the pre process then I get so frustrated when out shooting! thanks for this
I may have just watched this twice in a row, such great advice. I always forget to do the thumbnail so this has to change.
This is gold people...UA-cam is work! Yes to coffee table books Becki!
Bonus Points for dividing it into chapters making it easier to jump around the video, very nicely done!
Best video I’ve seen yet on pulling out a story, thanks! Any additional tips for those run and gun situations? I feel like my stories are good in the pre-planned situation, but in the run and gun situations when things change , or don’t work out, or aren’t predictable, I don’t capture the story as effectively ( sometimes I still miss it completely )
Love love love your behind the scenes videos!! So helpful
This was super helpful, thank you for posting! I struggle with my process and this helps a ton! Check on the key take away, I wanna go make another video!
300k soon!!!
I need to plan more and don't be sad or annoyed when they don't come out as I imagined haha
+1 for the coffee table books video!
Oh no! I’m into the throw blanket idea! “Top 5 resources to find throw blankets” will be a video I’m going to bookmark 😊
The Thumbnail 😍😍😍 💯🔥💯🔥💯🔥
My family never had coffee table books so the concept is new and interesting to me. I would love to see your perspective on it :)
As I’m getting back into posting… (PTSD from last year is REAL) this was super helpful. Passionate creatives have so much stuff on their head it’s hard to put it down in one concise piece for consumption. Thanks Becki!
#tutorialsarenotdead
Great content! new sub. The final product might be 5-10 minute video but the planning and preparation takes much longer than that especially if it's a one person production. Kudos to all content creators!
Thanks for sharing the process with us! What I found super interesting is when I heard that Casey Neistat barely plans anything and says that the story happens in the edit. Surely much more suitable to vlog style content than a proper "film". I believe everyone has to find their own process - some of my best videos were shot and cut within a few days and had no planning. On the other hand you sit down for weeks to plan the perfect video and you are just not feeling it. Videos have a fun way of sometimes just "happening".
I'm more of a running-gun type of person. However, after watching this vid, I can see the importance of structuring your videos in a cohesive and manageable way. Thanks!
Hey, I think the throw blanket idea would be fun!!
I do love a good throw, I’ve got a little collection 😂
Heck yes on coffee table books! I definitely want to see that video. Becki, could you also give your recommendations on interior design websites or books?
Awesome!!! My fav interior design website is Dwell.com! Maybe I’ll include some books in my vid!
@@BeckiandChris thanks so much, Becki. I will definitely check it out and look forward to the video.
never should what actually feels better - the excitement of preproduction or the satisfaction of everything finally coming together
