This is sooo good!! Also would love to see a behind the scenes of how you plan out your insta content and specifically how you create all of your visuals. Like a walk through on how you make your story templates and how you plan out your feed (static images, video clips etc etc) love your channel!
I use Notion for planning my videos but Milanote looks amazing. I had tried it for a few weeks a while ago but didn’t realize how many features it was packed with. Thanks Becki for such an awesome tutorial. Love how gorgeous even your notes look! 🥰❤️

I have another idea unless you've done one similar...since you started out taking videos of everything in the beginning...for us starting out creating similar vlog, how-to, reno videos...could you do a How-To video on setting up those types of video shots/timelapses, etc. For instance if I was going to video a room that I'm going to clean-up, then prep for paint, paint then put it all back together...what are your suggestions for camera and lighting setups and putting that all together? I love what you guys do and find it really inspiring for all the home projects we need to do!

Yeah can confirm that milanote is so outstanding for building and planning projects! I used it one time, and only planned to build a creative brief for a client, but it also ended up being the hub for all things related to the project! I’ve really enjoyed getting back into it!

As someone who is fleshing out a brand new podcast series, the Podcast Templates on Milanote are so good for beginners who are still learning what goes in to a podcast!!

I love reading how everyone uses it. I find it wild how an app was designed for a purpose, but users/creators use it in unconventional ways for their purpose. I use the cards to make database schemas for the websites I design, I also use it for doing newsletter layouts, and mapping out posts for social media. I also write so when I have an idea for story or script, I map out story arc, plot points and character growth. I guess no matter how you use it, its overall purpose is to help you get your shit together, whatever that may be. LOL! Milanote is what I thought Pinterest would eventually evolve to, but it didn't. It never came close to it.
I (Kelley) use notion for my UA-cam planning. I will have to check this one out. This was very eye-opening that I can really plan way more than I thought I could.
As someone who has the biggest squirrel brain ever and isn't totally thorough when it comes to being organized, thank you for showing your process! It helps a lot.
"Shooting everything and trying to pull it together in the edit" is where I currently am 😅 I actually made a draft of my footage this week and went back and planned out some narration. It was a pleasure to actually pop those in and not have to Frankenstein something together with sound bites and b roll.
Do the same for how you plan and design a space!! Please pleaseee 🥺 For example in the last video you have a plan of the room and you were showing where you going to put furtinure… how did you design the plant of the room and which app? 🤔🫣 sorry if asking too much. 🤭

I honestly didn’t think I would care but this app actually does look incredibly useful. I’m very visual and having a visual plan like that would help compared to my hundreds of word docs with no structure 😂
It’s the actual best for legit everything! Even planning our renovation in there now, tracking budgets, moodboards and purchase check lists. Game changer!

You can organize all the episodes inside the same board (like a folder) or you need to create one board for every single episode? Tnx for that already joined :)

Yeah try it out and see if you like it! It’s super easy drag and drop. They have a bunch of vids on their channel on how to use it as well which are really helpful!

It’s really great! Hopefully they roll out with an iPad app soon! I use the browser on my iPad to access all the complex things that I’ve worked through on my laptop or desktop.
Loving milanote, but it kills me you can only use it with internet access. 😱RIP remote travel project planning. Also, it's great working with teams, exept… no revision history? Ooof. Pass the storyboards to the client and cross your fingers.
